Counting the cars in GT5P and those we’ve been seeing on the videos, I think we already know the 200 premium cars or at least we’re close.

  2. Strikey182

I’m sure we’ve been told by PD that some manufacturers don’t want there cars properly smashable, but by the looks of it, most of the big names have given them permission and they are premium.
Which means, who’s said no? Even Ferrari have let them make there cars smashable, so what? is it manufacturers like Hyundai that are like NOOOOO YOU MUSN’T WRECK OUR CARS!!!

    1. Big Ron

Premium car does not mean automatically, that you can smash the car. Street car will probalbly have less damage than race cars….NASCAR will be kind of “smashable”

Does anyone know the reference model of that TV? all i can see is Sony and Bravia. If I wanna enjoy this game to the mex, I’m gonna have to buy me an HDTV.

  4. Häka Mikkinen

    The cars look amazing.

I’m slightly concerned that there aren’t going to be enough tracks though. I know it’s been discussed before but I hope there are more track yet to be announced.

As an example, is there only going to be one rally track? WRC is all about variety of conditions and surface variability. Although Toscana looks cool is it going to be interesting enough to play for very long?

    1. Häka Mikkinen

Until today that was just rumour. Now it’s been announced and it looks really interesting. Can’t wait to find out more about it.

Le Mans ’67. Ford and Ferrari. 220 down Mulsanne. Old school racing at it best! This is going to be a LONG winter!

    1. Maxiboy

I think we have all found out that this is not the case … As much as you would rather die than wait another day, you live on and the pain continues.

  6. GTWelsh

Well brothers and sisters everybody knows that Kazunori is a master of creation simulation and we love his work. But there is one missing thing that gt5 do not have and makes me cry.Kazunori forget to put a one beautiful camera that Forza3 have. Everybody love the grafics in gt5 but WHERE! is this camera that you could enjoy the beautiful grafics from outside the car.I meen that you could pull the triger during a race and look around every side and see whole boody of a car.Inside in the cocpit viev is perfect you can around camera on left end right .

Short scale or long scale million?

1,000,000 (short scale million, long scale milliard, next scale is 1,000 of the previous, i.e 1 billion is 1 thousand million)
      or
1,000,000,000 (short scale billion, long scale million, next scale is 1,000,000 of the previous, i.e. 1 billion is 1 million million)

A lot of European countries use the long scale.

Ok, I have a curiosity. KY said… or rather strongly implied that there wouldn’t be a livery editor. Yet interestingly enough there’s an IS-F Race Car there with no decals. So are we finally going to be able to get race cars in the normal colors of their street versions or will there be a very generic livery system with preset designs or am I just one of the people that’s just anxious and am reading too much into things.

    1. SigmaViper11

how? It looks like a black version of the VLN car KY drove. That was an IS-F and it wasn’t a proto. Polyphony and their ambiguity.

    1. Whatbrown

Really? It is the cover car for Pete’s sake. Of course it is premium. We have only seen the interior on it about 100 times now.

  9. New Iron Maiden CD

Considering the recent “agreements” between PD and Ferrari, I think it’s fair to say that Mugello will be included since it’s Ferrari’s test track.

    1. Daniel

Technically its not their test track, despite the fact they use it alot for F1 testing, their test track is the Fiorano Circuit

According to the info given to racesimcentral, the Jaguar is the closest to a standard car in this new demo version. It doesn’t specify which Jaguar however, as there are two. Nor does it say why this car is ‘close’ to standard.

    1. J-KiLLA24

they probably want to keep us all waiting or thinking about them to see if they look like prologue cars or have a cockpit view.

    2. aQuarius26

No reason to demo standard cars when you’re trying to “sell” your product… I’m sure the standard cars are just fine, but If it was me, I would only feature the best of what I had too…

  11. Tim

Well i am glad to see that there are a variety of different premium models and not just nissans or hondas which polyphony seem to overdo.

  12. Si-Fly

I’m a bit worried that some of those cars that feature in Prologue are premium. Does that mean that the Standard cars will look worse than the cars in prologue? That would suck!

  13. Panchito401

If you look down the lower left of the car selection you can see all of the cars featured in the demo. I don’t know if anyone had picked up on that in the coverage so far?

    1. Rotard12a

Indeed! If you look closely at the specs on the right, you can see that they were true to the original car, bringing all 18 of it’s horsepower to the table!

I did enjoy the car in GT4, though. Could be described as intriguingly, or perhaps fascinatingly, slow. Like, “is it really possible… for something to go this slow?” Almost as if regular physics don’t apply to it, and if you pushed it off a 5 story building it would take a minute and a half to reach the ground and that, for the Fiat, the speed of light for it is around 73 miles per hour.

If I had the cash, I would buy one of them in a heartbeat :)

    1. ICEMAN_ZIDANE

I don’t need the full game ,the demo is enough for me , i would pay 70euros for the demo

I don’t know what i will do if i get the full game , 1000 cars crazy
