It’s time for Forza Horizon 3 players to prepare for another set of Forzathon events, which will be scattered through the entire month of March. This month’s events have been posted on the Forza Motorsport Twitter channel, showing new and familiar faces alike will be making their debut in the Horizon series, free of charge.
The 1972 Mercedes-Benz 300 SEL 6.3 is one of the vehicles we’re looking forward to the most. Powered by a musclar 6.3L V8 engine, the car could squeeze out over 240 horsepower, quite a result for European saloons of that time. The SEL enjoyed short success on the motorsport scene — the AMG-fettled “Rote Sau” (“Red Pig”) managed a 2nd-place finish at the 1971 24 Hours of Spa — and was first introduced to the franchise in 2011’s Forza Motorsport 4.
Lamborghini’s Sesto Elemento is another interesting model that will be returning to the fold for the first time on the current-generation Xbox One. The lightweight, track-only Gallardo-based car was available in both FM4 and the first Horizon game.
The Bentley Continental Supersports name will will be making a return as well, presumably as the most recent 700 hp model Bentley unveiled last month.
Keen readers will notice that all three of these models were a part of the leaks Forza Horizon 3 suffered from in January. Luckily, like the Lola T70 and Ferrari 599XX that were up for grabs earlier this month, these cars won’t require any additional cash outlay by players: just the completion of a handful of in-game events.
