You Can Win a Thrustmaster T-GT in the Gran Turismo Michelin Sweepstakes

Gran Turismo Sport 4 November 4, 2020 by

Our US-based readers have an interesting opportunity to win $2,000 of Gran Turismo and Michelin-themed prizes in a new sweepstakes contest which is available right now.

The competition comes courtesy of the partnership between the two brands. As we covered in 2019, Michelin became the official tire technology partner and supplier to Gran Turismo Sport and the FIA-Certified Gran Turismo Online Championships. At present, this manifests as some prominent Michelin branding throughout the game — trackside signs, within vehicle settings screens, and as a brand in the Brand Central section — but there’s potential for more significant change to come from the collaboration.

Speaking at the launch of the partnership in August 2019, Kazunori Yamauchi noted that he planned to implement Michelin’s knowledge of tire technology into Gran Turismo’s physics engine, to create more realistic tire simulation. This is something that players have yet to see in GT Sport, but it remains a possibility for GT7.

This latest event further promotes the relationship between the two brands. You don’t need to be a Gran Turismo player, or even a PlayStation 4 owner, to take part, as it’s a simple online sweepstake. All you need to do is make an entry on the official competition website — one per person, and US residents only — before it closes at midnight on December 10.

There’s 12 prizes available in total. Those entries drawn out from third to 12th will win a copy of Gran Turismo Sport and a $100 Best Buy gift card. The second place prize adds in a Thrustmaster T-GT wheel on top of that prize bundle. For the grand prize you’ll also get a full set of four Michelin Pilot Sport “AllSeason 4” tires, worth around $1,500, in addition to the T-GT, GT Sport, and Best Buy gift card.

This competition is open now, and you can enter and check the full terms and conditions on the official competition website.
