yeah, PD took all the cheaters off and I ranked 239th. thank you PD for cracken down on cheating:)

  2. Hemi71

Plus PD need to ban IP address, then problem solved. Cuz no matter how many they try to make an acct to gain access to GT5 server, IP would just lock out.

    1. alexnegao

I think that wouldn´t work properly, beacuse in my old internet provider I used to have dynamic IP.

  3. Hemi71

Naw they r just mad from the last hack they lost to PD, and now they came back to show who’s the boss but only short-lived boss show.

  4. GT5fanforlife

This is getting out of hand by these no good cheaters and hackers. Are they destroying this game or what’s next? What’s the point to ban them they are going to make new accounts over and over?

  5. adellanotte

Yeah, definitely cheating has come through to online TT again. Shame on those bastards. Hope they go permanently banned. I don’t know what sense makes putting you own name in a global public board. Are you guys that proud of being the #1 cheaters around the world.

  6. Need4Speed685

Didn’t crack a huge spot onto the leaderboards last week but still got Gold and won the GT-R. As long as I beat 9:15, I’d be happy.

  7. fowlkore

As of 5/19/2013 cheaters have taken over time trials and now there are 12 players that can do the 24hr nurburgring track in less than 5 secounds. I really hope that PD keeps their word and band ALL players that cheat. With 2013 GT Academy coming up we dont need a repeat of what happened in season 1 round 2!

  8. Tweetman_277

Can someone tell me how they managed to fuse together TWO N24 GT-R’s and the GT-R TC to make the header photo?

  9. smskeeter23

I was actually really excited to do this one… until I drove the car. Super strange feel like the car is never truly planted or stable. I also see they blocked out the ra menu which would have helped a lot to dial in some brake bias.

Oh well. After thinking I’d have a chance at the boards on this one all I ended up with was fast enough for a side by side video with last years qualifying lap. Eh, that’ll be cool to see I guess.

  10. biftizmo

Can anyone tell me if they having problems seeing there record’s on gran-turismo.com…I know they removed the my friends records tab…but my record doesn’t seem to be updating at all…still shows 000000000000

    1. rallymorten

You and me both Resh… Interestingly, PD has only used the “Golden Middle Solution”* in the Drift Trials, even though that is the only way to appeal to all. * = 1 tuning, one given/sample.

    2. infamousphil

Right on guys! Still trying to finish the races clean though. Those idiot AI drivers are a real hazard. Bashing and corner cutting has been the norm, so far. At least l get to do some tuning this time. Next up is Spa. Any tuning suggestions for flat out Au Rouge negotiating is welcome. ;)

    3. RESHIRAM5

Good Driving should always be key, not tuning. If someone gets 1st in this I don’t see them as Good Drivers, I just see them as someone with a good tune which disapoints me :(.

  11. SavageEvil

Lol, that N24 GT handles terribly suspension is rather stiff for the Nur and it’s highly unstable when braking from high speeds to low speeds gets very twitchy, very strange for a race car to be finicky like that under braking. Funny tire setup too, medium Race at the front and soft Race rears. This car requires full brake then trailing off as you slow down, the brakes seem to react similarly to non ABS cars as you get closer to threshold it feels like you are locking up. Hope GT6 does no ABS better than GT5 did, crappy non adjustable sensitivity was the biggest gripe for non ABS driving with a controller.

    1. TheBeerStore509

i don’t know any other car in the game i feel so uncomfortable to drive with like with this one… just terrible…

    2. SavageEvil

This car is weird, it gives you false sense of control and then it goes bananas on you and it’s all wheel drive too. Worse handling GTR EVER! That tire setup is very bad, your front tires bite hard under heavy braking and then the stiff suspension tosses you about and you get sideways really easy. Hold up why is SRF off now, but on for all the other events…that jerk playing with SRF needs to cut it out!

    3. mistersafeway

SRF is always off on TTs… now if only they’d ban Active Steering to stop that getting abused, I’d be happy.

  12. Olegonic

From source (GTPlanet) I found the IRL lap time was:
After the first two qualifying sessions, covering evening and morning driving conditions, the #123 car is first in class (making it two GT Academy pole positions at the Nürburgring this weekend) with a fastest lap of 8’59.695

  13. HuskyGT

Awesome. And this is great because I deleted all my GT Academy cars XD At least I’ll have one back.

    1. Pit Crew

Awww HuskyGT lol. Good luck bro. If you ever want a 2008 370Z Academy Check my Profile and send that guy that has the goods a FR.

    2. 05XR8

Who knows, maybe they’ll keep adding the academy cars in seasonals up until the 2013 season begins

  14. smskeeter23

Sweet I’ve been spending a TON of time on this track lately.

Might actually have a chance at the leaderboards on this one :-)

  15. Whodoyouthink

Looks like I’ll miss out on these since I’m doing the Nurburgring 24hr race. Only about 6hrs in.

  16. ShiftingGears

I don’t understand the GTR having both mediums and softs on. It makes it quite jarring and unpleasant to drive.

    1. infamousphil

Good question, SG. It would be nice to know if this was the car’s actual qualifying/race setup and the team’s qualifying time.

    2. infamousphil

Also, l have yet to see any posts or comments on the lack of suspension and aerodynamic tuning on this particular car. What’s up with that? Some folk have extremely different tuning preferences than me. I just tune these whips enough for me to keep on the road whilst l erratically attempt to negotiate the multitude of corners that is “The Green Hell.” ;)

    3. KYD302

@infamousphil Let is be known i will start the lack of tuning hate here haha. After 2 attempts all i can say is this car is complete trash for my particular driving style. It’s obvious the suspension is set very tightly compared to what i’m used to. An with the tire’s i think there backwards but maybe thats my love affair with rwd cars i would rather have more grip in the front then the rear it makes this car hard to slide the rear when you need to in small tight corners like the carousel or in the first moto gp section. The way this car is tuned i’m having a hard problem with the rear having to much grip. Also another thing thats bugging me is how slow this car feels while WFO. It’s almost like they wanted this car to be fwd. I’ve had this car in my garage for awhile an like most of my GTR’s it has 0 miles. This setup is the complete opposite of what i want in a track car but yet i find myself frustrated and amused, This is a good challenge for me trying to overcome this ridiculous setup. The track i could almost do in my sleep with a properly tuned car but with this setup i’m fighting the car more then the track. All that said i’m enjoying the royal PITA this challenge is.

    4. infamousphil

Sounds like you a lot of fwd racing, KYD. My advice is to break earlier than you you are used to then hold your momentum until you are clear of the apex then accelerate, in as straight a line as you can, after the apex.

Bottom line is, you need to stay on the course to finish the trial. 9mins is plenty of time, so you don’t have to rush through it.

    5. Spannermonkey33

I’m not a fan of this car, the lack of tuning options makes it frustrating to drive fast

    6. infamousphil

Always slow getting around the circuits… l have a better time with a longer wheel base. Those little monsters, like the Elise, make it harder for me and my controller to be quick or maintain speed through the corners. ;)

    1. WonkyFonk

irony-meter is reading 0, changed the batteries and all. Sarcasm meter on the other hand…whooa!!

I call fail on your comment.

  17. awr117

Saw the picture and thought the and 15th Anniversary and thought the event would be taking place at Silverstone. Just wrong to tease us like that!

  18. rallymorten

I think you might want to check what you wrote. The Performance Difference Bonus doesn’t apply to the time/drift trials (and it wouldn’t even work, since you can only win the money once) and the Online Colloector’s Dealership only refreshes when we get the race seasonals (or said in a different way, when we get time restrained seasonals, the OCD remains. When we get ongoing seasonals, we get the new OCD)

    1. rallymorten

I’m just glad I could help you out, strange feeling to notify a mod, but glad I could help :)

  19. ZedMan1996

Ladies and gents. I’ve realised that in one of the menu themes where you can choose between GTMode, Arcade mode ect. Its te one with the car and team in the pit garage. There are boxed, walls and stuff painted the same colour scheme as the car no matter what cat. So that shows up different every tine you login. I only just realised. It could be old but I’ve only just found this out.

  20. nascarfn

can you play the 15th anniversary more than once? i’m not at 200% right now so if i can only play once i’m gonna rack up my %

  21. Deko Wolf-GTPT

I thought there was something wrong with that picture of the GT-R. Famine used a shot from GT6.
Besides some minor body kit changes, the one in GT5 reads Nissan instead of Nismo on the hood (or bonnet if you prefer.)

    1. Famine

Well… SCEE gave them out yesterday and it seemed rude not to. Besides, it’s a Special Event for the GT15 celebration that saw GT6 properly revealed. I think this car has Michael Krumm’s name on it too, unlike the older GT5 one.

      It’s also at Silverstone…

  22. SiDeShOwBoB

With the GT6 lauching, the GT5 online players will be fewer, so they could put all the Seasonal Events for download, for we play offline!

  23. acidreach

Actually, its 800,000. I was referring to the winnings for Gold placed finish not the accumulative winnings of 1st, 2nd and 3rd. Pedantic.

    1. McSalsa

Actually, it is 1.5 million, since you get the bronze and silver prizes too. Plus whatever bonus you have…so at 200% you get $3,000,000! :)
