So do the accounts with obvious hacks still get banned? Or has Sony/PD stopped caring with the impending GT6 launch?

It makes the TT events a sham when a Fiat Panda is lapping Tsukuba in 33s.

A new law in Spain will impose prison sentences to those who have hacked his consoles. To protect the copyright of video games. I think that many Governments will do the same, starting with USA.

Do these Seasonals really expire ..?

I hardly rock my PS3, even take it online. Only for GT5.. but every time I do get on I have @ least 20-25 events open

    1. MeanElf

The seasonals stay open indefinitely, only the TTs close just before the next one. Back when they started, there was an expiry period of a few months on them, I think, plus some expert challenges which lasted about a month. Then the lot got wiped and new style seasonals started to fill the gap.

Maybe there were just too many of them.

Off topic (sorry) but has anyone seen the creature on Trail Mountain. It sits on a dead log hanging over the track. I always thought it was a bird but when watching a replay I saw it didnt look like a bird, it looked like a monkey or something sitting on its haunches! So i went to photomode zoomed in and its hortible quality but its face sure doesnt look like a bird’s face or monkey’s. It looks like a demonic cat sized thing! Its horrible! This whole time its been watching us race! Creeep-eeeey!

Hackers pffff, gsxr shouldn’t count, hope gt6 improves , anyway was 2nd fastest road car time when I set it yesterday

Agreed, quake… If players want to hack for their own amusement, more power to them. Hacking for ranked events is just super lame, though… Kind of hope PD would just start nailing players who do this junk…

  6. Quakebass

I think it’d be fun if PD did trials where only a few (maybe 5-20, depending on PP range) cars were eligible, and THEN have a PP limit…

If they use less “mainstream” cars, it could mix things up… And maybe get rid of SOME of the hacked cars…

Wow! This photo of mine is set on my laptop’s background. When I opened up Firefox with the news page as my home page, I began to wonder what that photo is doing on the article’s preview. Thank you very much for the recognition, T12!

I think that given the circumstances of this TT, a sub 1:00 time with a legit car will be the ideal time, but I highly doubt it that anyone will reach that!

    2. jagenigma

i agree maybe 58 seconds but 37 seconds isnt rifht because if yoh look at the leaderboards, there are fiats in there as well

    3. SnakeOfBacon

yeah, it seems the HONEST times start around 30th place with the GSX-R/4, but before that there’s little fiat 500’s doing 38 second laps, with TC on 10, and using the buttons to steer… what? hacked car if ever I saw one

    1. smskeeter23

It only took them about 20 minutes after event open to show up.

I didn’t realize that was still going on. Golded this and done. Until they bring back the “supplied” cars I think I’m done with them. Pity.

  8. MadmuppGT

500pp and comfort tyres? Pass… Sports hard are the minimum 500 cars should have, you wouldnt stick cheap budget tyres on a powerful car like that on the street so why PD insist on doing so is beyond me

    1. TokoTurismo

What’s the matter? You chickeeen? Bawhahaha! Only the pros wouldn’t make a big deal over tire choices, meaning you’re not worthy enough for this event… U_U

  9. MeanElf

Non racing cars, eh? So what are the Suzuki GSX’s doing on the leaderboards? I do hopr that sort of loophole will be a thing of the past with GT6 and the better filtering which has been mentioned.

    1. GTO_VR4

I see where you’re getting at. However; I dare you to name at least one professional racing series that feature the Suzuki GSX R/4.

    2. MeanElf

You’re right GTO. The GSX had a single make race in GT4 and needs a few classmates – maybe in GT6…

I do think that as it’s race tuned, that does make it more of a race car than non-race car PC. I’m not really complaining though, more pointing out the inconsistency in class filters that allowed the Veyron to compete in the Hot Hatch A-spec races and so on.

Plenty more concepts coming with GT6, so I’m all for them. If they fit within the PP brackets, then all well and fine.

    3. Pit Crew

You got a point Mean Elf it is a lil advantageous especially in the right track setting. It’ll destroy most 500PP cars at Nurb like a Boss.
