With both the Pro-Am driver and team championship titles captured in 2013, the Nissan GT Academy Team RJN will mount their defence of the Blancpain Endurance Series at Monza this weekend.

There’s a lot to cover this week, so instead of me yapping (which I’ll do plenty of later on) we’re jumping right into things this week. Here we go!

The latest Seasonal Events are now available in Gran Turismo 6, featuring three new time trial events exclusive to the Tajima E-Runner Pikes Peak Special, Mazda RX-7 (FD) non-racing cars, and non-racing car Peugeots.

The latest Seasonal Events are now available in Gran Turismo 5, featuring a series of five expert level racing events featuring real race tracks from around the world. Any car is eligible provided it have no more than 730PP and no better than Racing/Hard compounds or less.

A new Seasonal Event has been released for Gran Turismo 6, which features the Toyota FT-1 Concept at Fuji Speedway in celebration of the car’s appearance at the New York Auto show this month.

The sixth update for Gran Turismo 6 is now available, and it brings with it the GPS visualizer, data logger, custom rear wings, 3D compatibility, as well as adjustments to the open lobby for multiplayer games.

As we found out earlier this week, the GPS Data Logger feature in Gran Turismo 6 is set to be released in the game’s 1.06 update, which will be available to download on April 7th. We now have a bit more details on the feature, thanks to a press release from Toyota Japan.

We’re in the wake of another Formula One weekend, this time taking a trip to the Bahrain International Circuit, albeit with a twist. This year the circuit will make use of an all-new floodlight system that will see the Grand Prix event into the hours beyond the sun, making this the second race of the season to run without natural lighting.

We’re moving straight into the goodies this week as this week’s headline is actually a full-length segment that may very well return at some point later in the year with yet another look into what makes a racing game attractive. It’s a question that isn’t as easily answered as you might think, and I know you’re sitting there shouting out answers.
