Photomode Competitions, Week 7: Win In-Game Prizes!

Hello everyone, Slip here again for this week’s coverage on our forum’s Photomode Competitions. If you missed last week’s entry, click here to catch up, and get the low-down on what exactly happens each week with the competitions. A quick refresher – post an image (no bigger than 500 pixels on the largest side on the forum, but linked to a bigger image for full-size viewing) following this week’s theme, in whichever competition you choose (or both!), and compete against others for in-game prizes! This week the prizes are in the shape of Peugeot’s torquey Le Mans prototypes, or for runners-up, those paint chips that take 30-car intervals in your garage to win, like Matte Light Green or the elusive Chrome. Now, let’s jump to this week’s open themes, and details on those prizes…

PMC Week 5 Winner: Atlop

Photomode Competition (PMC): This week in the zero-editing competition, Week 5 Winner atlop has given us a pretty wide theme of Rally. Grab any liveried rally car, and take it to either a Dirt, Snow, or City track in the game, and snap away. The only other rule? It has to be by itself, no other cars with it. Which car will you go for?

2.0 Advanced Week 5 Winner: Polifonic

Advanced Competition (2.0): Fresh off winning the PMC last week, Polifonic‘s making a name for himself with another win in 2.0, making him the first member to manage wins in both in GT5 so far. In this Photoshop-allowed competition, the theme is Sunrises and Sunsets, chosen by the runner-up to Poli last week, Shidapu. What better way to show off GT5’s awesome new variable time of day courses than with a theme like this? Expect to see lots of cars riding off into the distance…

This Week’s Prizes:

You read right: there are 2 Peugeot 908 Le Mans racers up for grabs this week. One of each livery, the details of who gets which will be sorted later. As for the runners-up, they each get 5 of the special gift-only paint chips in the game (the matte or chrome prizes). The fun little catch? The winners get to decide, Price Is Right style, if they want to swap the Pug for the paints. Dun dun dun!

This Week In The Polls:

PMC Week 6 Poll:  Snowy WhitePolifonic‘s ice cool theme garnered plenty of entries last week, cast your vote for the best of his Top 30 picks.
2.0 Week 6 Poll: Ferrari Poll – This week 2.0 is a Head2Head theme, meaning you have to vote twice! Pick your best Ferrari, and…
2.0 Week 6 Poll: Lamborghini Poll – your best Lambo. On Thursday when these polls close, the highest-voted from each will be put in a 48 hour poll against each other. Only the strongest will survive!

All sound a bit complicated? Read this thread for an explanation on how to get your images off your PS3 and onto a computer, and read over the individual rules in each competition’s thread. Ok i like fotomode is not bad sometimes the pictures come out really great……BUT with all the work that has gone into the interior modelling why is there no option to take pics of cars with the doors open or the tops down??
MERC SLR or SLS the Mclaren F1 ????

I seriously doubt those “Forza 4” renders are representative of anything we’ll see in the actual game.

Okay we get it, you can’t afford GT5, maybe if you ask Mummy & Daddy really nicely they’ll buy it for you.

The Rally Raid trucks like the Pajero are allowed yes. As long as the vehicle is stickered/liveried, and isn’t the Escudo, it’s good!

Once you take a photo there is an option transfer to xbm i think its called and the photo should be in your saved photos on the ps3 main menu.

Next you need a usb memory device. Plug it in. Go to the photo press triangle and then hit copy and there should be an option to copy to device.

      Hope this helps

I think a good theme would be action shots of overtaking but i do like the wheels off the floor idea. Nice thinking
