Closer Look at GT Award-Winning 1970 Mustang
November 7th, 2009 by Jordan
A few more pictures Philip Koenen’s 1970 Ford Mustang were snapped by AutoBlog, providing a much closer look at the latest addition to Gran Turismo 5’s roster. We’re still, collectively, waiting on video footage from the new SEMA demo, which supposedly features previous GT Award winners, so if you see anything floating around on the web, please let me know!

I hate to admit it, but it’s starting to get in my head with all of this lack of info about GT5. Oh well I’ll do my best to be patient and pretend forza 3 is GT5. What in world are we living eh? Can’t wait to drive this car. Looks bad ass, hope PD make the sound right on this one. They said the engine on this car is ahead of it’s time during 60’s.

I respect every decision Kaz makes every year in the SEMA events. Can’t wait to drive a real-tuned muscle in GT5, and also maybe even drift it, of course.
I’m surprised there are no videos of anyone running the two previous winners’ car in the game. Is it confidential or what? Then again, we didn’t see much gameplay footage from the SEMA show in the past years.
Anyhow, I will stay as patient as one can be. Please make GT5 a true masterpiece Kaz.

@daus26
Did you think about, that Kaz don´t want to show every content of GT5 in previews and posts?
This car is awesome and will be 100% in GT5, like the Corvette of last year (or 3 years ago?

Nice, it will be in GT5, I hope it could be on GT5 Cover Box because that ride looks like it’s ready for first place on 24HR race!
Btw, we don’t want Tokyo anymore.

WTF why did this car win??? It looks like a pile of scrap, there were much better cars in the show! The car looks stock. I hate the way the tyres stick out. :(
November 8th, 2009 at 11:56 am
Azzer. You have no clue what you’re talking about. Looking stock isn’t a bad thing. If you’re so concerned over looks go play Need For Speed. And none of the tires stick out past the fenders…what are you talking about?

I love the subtle details on this Mustang. Subtlety shows class, and this Mustang reeks of class. I can’t wait to drive it (I’m hoping the front and rear splitters will make it a nice handler also)

Classic look.
But something tells me that car is not a “stock” Mustang..
LOL

The 60’s/70’s Mustang is one the coolest cars out there; I remember my father raving about his, years after he gave it up against his will due to his own father’s insistence.
