    Hey @Jordan & @Famine!

    Please return the weekly rewind!

There is so much going on in the world of online racing/gaming that is being missed out on!

Sure, it takes a bit of attention away from Gran Turismo, but that can only help to benefit the franchise in the future by raising awareness to the crew at PD to what their fan base has greater interest in! It can liven the atmosphere around here a bit and possibly, even influence the production of the next GT!

Plus, the Weekly Rewinds were friggin’ awesome!

Come on guys! Please! Bring it back!

Anything extra released after the game release can only serve to make the game better, if its not something you like or want then that is just hard luck, for you, for as many people that dont want something, theres an equal number to look forward to it.
In PD’s quest to acheive perfection there will always be pitfalls, something that could have been done better, something missing, promises not fulfilled etc..

All I can say for me, is that a games lifespan is more important, after purchasing other games I can safely say that GT’s lifespan far, far, far exceeds any other game I have played and these staggered extras that PD release only serve to increase this. This means that they must be getting something right.

I will take whatever FREE (wow) release that they give, and enjoy it, comparing this type of aftermarket care to any other title it is far superior, take Fifa for example, its late in the year release only serves to make EA more money, as soon as the January transfers window closes its latest release becomes dated, and customers are then awaiting its next release, its shelflife is a few months opposed to GT’s years…

In closing its obvious that PD are not just in it for the money, there are producing this game to acheive the pefect racing game, and I will support them along the way until they reach this goal as I believe they are the developer who can acheive it, and as Ive mentioned they look after me the customer the best after I have invested in their game.

    Win Win.

6 versions of the game in 15 years and no flags, no standing starts in career mode, no damage modeling worth mentioning, a very basic tire model and more, and that’s why it’s obvious they are trying to achieve the perfect racing game? Doesn’t seem so obvious to me.

    2. Davoxx

Yeah, as the engine sound and able to enlarge tires. Before released extra why not finishing the game in order to make it better ?

Actually, I see it the same way. For me it’s an important factor that a racing sim lasts for a long period of time. Why? Because this isn’t just some random arcade racing title like NFS or Drive Club nobody really cares about when it’s gone. A racing sim serves the fun and training in driving cars. It doesn’t need to have fancy explosions or pretend hecticness that actually never occurs while driving. GT does a perfect job physics-wise and lets me fine-tune my cars – and that’s what I want from it. I don’t need virtual cockpits, same as I don’t really need accurate damage models, because this all is just effects to attract the average gamer. Generally, my goal is to push a car around a track without crashing it, and when I don’t crash the car, I don’t need no damage model.

Of course, GT is not perfect. I’d enjoy to have better sounds, like most of us do, but it’s no killer-criteria – to be honest. Also, I’d like to have more premium cars of the 80ies and 90ies in, instead of the VGT concepts. I’d love to have original Porsches, a Ferrari 512tr, and race car versions of them. But the fact they aren’t in doesn’t kill the game either. And even among the VGT concepts there’s cars I actually like (the FT-1 race car).

I think there’s too much moaning recently. GT has its flaws, but any game has them, and we can be happy GT is one of the games constantly improving…

What about real cars (possibly that everyone want) for a change? I know that these GT vision are an easy way to get cheap/free cars into the game, but it doesn’t replace REAL cars (or should not)…. is GT becoming just “Concept GT”… ??? all these smoke an mirror are just sad.

I think this Corvette was an Oldsmobile Aerotech race car made in 1987 because GM revived the Oldsmobile Aerotech in 2014.

  5. catamount39

I almost want to say that they’re making a modern reinterpretation of the original “Stingray” racer concept. Other than that….WHAT THE **** IS THAT THING?! XD lol This should be cool.

  6. Chameleon9000

Huh, so maybe PD is at least going to try and realease as many VGT’s as they can before the deadline… Plez?

  7. sirjim73

    Cor! Vette is this?

If it’s a modern take on that classic stingray it’ll be the business…

However, Before everyone gets carried away even if it is revealed this week that doesn’t guarantee it’s in the November patch. I can’t remember which one it was but one of them was revealed and then took a while to arrive. This looks like it might be worth the wait though.

Also for those saying there will be 3 VGTs this month I think more likely 2 at most (like with Nissan and Aston). Although we’ve seen that Alpine design that was not a gt6 pic so I think that car is not necessarily going to appear quickly. If they’ve only just finished the final design, PD will need to model it in GT6.

  8. Kovu

    …this looks… like a Xenomorph crossbred with Bumblebee…

Also, I don’t think this is coming with the next update.

  9. GT5 Level 41

    Pfffft,

Drivers side cupholder. The glass dome is to prevent spills on the Ring. They flipped it 90 degrees to throw us off track. Nice job GM!

  10. cdx

The pneumatic thing looks like it would take the seat back for the driver to sit in it and then push it forward to put the driver next to the controls.
The logo is on the back of the cockpit, the blurry thing past the helmet looks like the opened cockpit cover.

Also, there is a face reflection on the helmet visor :)

    1. OpticZero

You guys are being silly. We all know that it will likely not have an interior. It IS a Vision GT car, after all.

  11. infamousphil

Sooo dislike being teased. But that’s definitely an actuated unit and an antenna. An antenna angled rearward? A rear veiw camera or lazer blaster… for you know… tailgaters ;)

  12. Niku Driver HC

Looks like PD had a few surprises in their pocket for the next two months. This is a very confusing trailer for me, but it has definitely piqued my interest. I eagerly await what GM has in store for this project.

And for those who can make out what is going in that teaser, I give you my congratulations; your eyes are more keen than mine…

  13. hankolerd

The gold section looks like a helmet visor, and just to the right of that looks to be some sort of display… Look like the top of a cockpit. Almost looks like the driver would lay in it…

    1. AbsoluteBarstool

But there’s a pneumatic thing coming off it…

In reality I have no idea where or what it could be but I’m just throwing it out there.
