Looping When Trying To Load Game After 2.10 Udate *FIXED*

Are you having the looping problems after 2.10 update

Yes, I did. Explain why that might be a problem and I might be confinced to go back to 2.09 and delete them. If that was the case tho, I think it would effect more people than it has. Thats about the only thing I didn't delete was all my tickets because I had so many of them.

EDIT: Can someone point me in the direction of a place that has all the updates from 2.00 to present that describes what each update did. I just thought of something.

Maybe you are right. Please don't tell PD that I have them. I like it that my game works.
 
Could be a possibility a lot have both and are working ok but you never know if they have put a code in to break someones save and its only worked on a few rather than everyone?
For who ever wants to try its back to the game delete for them but you never know.

I'm stubborn and just don't like giving up I guess, lol. I have the XL Edition so I will be starting from 2.00
 
Because if someone has a hacked ticket/car on their save PD may not take kindly to that. Refer to Sorg's thread. https://www.gtplanet.net/forum/showthread.php?t=269462

This is the first update after it was publicly released that GT5 tickets have been hacked. It was mentioned in Sorg's thread to stay well away from them if you value your SAVEDATA. It is not out of the realms of possibility that PD have made a stand against the hacking.

Perhaps I'm wrong. I dunno.

I'm using my GTP account which only has the DLC cars on it so if you want to throw stuff at that account, I'd appreciate it. Its GTP_CargoRatt. I'm doing some experimentation right now so won't be able to accept f/r for awhile. Thanks Hamster.

@Pure: Doubt thats the case tho otherwise it would be affecting far more people than just the 33. There are way more people than that that has those tickets. I will delete mine anyway while I'm at 2.09 just to eliminate that idea.

Maybe these game saves that don't work have cfw manipulated data on them and are now locked out.

Anyone with one save that does not work and another save that does work, are there cars, paints, etc obtained on the broken one that you never sent to the working one?

All my gamesave are legal. Never manipulated... Im not any hacker.

Im gonna post the propieties of my game. Maybe we can found a common problem
PS3 slim: 4.31 GT5: 2.10 . connection by ethernet
All DLC's owned and installed (colors DLC's buyed 2 times)
All license and special test in gold
Aspec 40 Bspec 40
around 1300 cars
 
If you back up your save, delete your game data and open GT5. Does it work?

If yes, then it's your save, if no then it's GT5.
 
This might be futile, but worth a try, if you keep the 2.10 save that the first time have the looping problem, try this : with 2.09, do an update to 2.10, while having 2.10 save instead the old 2.09. Start the game offline, which means go offline right after installing the update finished.

Hi mate am just asking this one before you do the delete and load thingy.
Have you got another USB stick instead of the one you have been using?
That one has not been shouted yet. So it maybe a faulty stick?
Maybe thats at fault when you come to save. Always best to rule every thing out.

I had my brothers ps3 on 2.09 today.
I tried changing display settings, almost every option in the options menu,
got rid of all my tickets, spent some money, bought some cars.
Went to track , drove around, had a shower.

Back onto my own ps3 with 2.10 & endless loop. :/

Hope you can find something, I'm out of ideas for now.

Otherwise, we can only hope they fix it with 2.11
 
I really don't think this is a punishment for having glitched cars, or PD would certainly be informing the rest of us as a warning. I'm sure PD want us to stop the glitching, but they don't want to loose a ton of customers over it. It's also been a pattern that when PD see us doing something they don't approve of, they simply stop us from doing it any more (the $1m trade cap). I strongly believe this is just a hiccup in the update software, and what we need to solve this is for enough people to complain about it that PD notices. It would be nice to get something in the GTP news feed, if any mods are reading this it should be considered.

We could probably prove or disprove this by finding out if everyone affected has glitched tickets.

If there are people having the same problem and dont have glitched tickets then we can say its definately not that.
 
Hummmm just a thought and wonder if anyone has tried this.


Backup your save data and then delete both the back up too off the ps3.

Then try to start it up. After it does then go delete the new save and replace old

Is it just on one or more accounts?

And have you tried to manually do Restore File System or manually doing Restore Database?

If not it might be worth a try if can post how to step by step
 
Yes it is unfortunately. I have been playing since the game launch and have never even deleted anything from my game.

You guys might want to try this. It will not delete or hurt your PS3. This information i got from Sony directly years ago and i use this weekly. Worth a try.

Note this down.
Cleaning ps3 from corrupt files

Do not skip any steps important not to.

1. Take usb flash drives and disc out of the ps3 then turn off the ps3
2. PRESS AND HOLD the power button till the ps3 turns on and then off. Then release your finger
3. Then PRESS AND HOLD your finger till you hear the double beep (you will hear the first beep then a second beep then a quick double beep) then release your finger.
4. You will then be prompted to "plug in your controller using a usb cable and Press the ps button
. Do that then STOP.

5. You will see a screen with 6 options.

Choose option three (Restore File System)

If that doesn't fix it try option four (Restore Database)


For totally bringing the system to basically brand new formatted you choose option five (wouldn't recommend doing this if you do not want to lose anything).

I have a fat ps3 and option three I use about once a week to keep my ps3 running smoothly and clean. I really don't want a slim.

I do suggest doing like every other week to keep the ps3 clean from corrupt files.

Ahhhh, I think I may have (along with others that have mentioned it before) the answer to whats causing the problem. Bad news is, there is no way to fix it as far as I know.

Follow me now. I have 76 Premium cars. I thought that I had deleted them all the last time I did this but I ended up missing them because they did not have any thumbnails and I must have passed right over them. They are two NASCAR cars. Anybody want to hazzard a guess as to whats wrong with them, besides the thumbnail thing. I can't delete them, use them, or do anything with them. They also lock up my system when I try to "create thumbnails for all cars". My system is locked up right now because it was creating the thumbnails, got about halfway thru, and froze. And I'm guessing it froze when it got to one of those undeletable/unusable cars.

Others that have this looping issue, have mentioned that they too have these cars. I think because of the PP update, it is getting stuck in the loop because it can't update the PP value of these cars.

I am almost willing to bet that if there is a way to delete these cars, everything will work fine. Thoughts..................

It is possible a glitch like that could happen.

Does it give you a error message when you try and delete? Or does it freeze?
