Gran Turismo 5 SEMA Demo Gameplay Videos
November 8th, 2009 by JordanFinally, we’ve got our first look at video of J.R. Rocha’s G37 in the latest Gran Turismo 5 SEMA demo. Unfortunately, the quality is very poor compared to what people managed to grab at previous shows, but it’s better than nothing, right? The lack of footage seems to indicate that the GT Awards show was the only place the demo was playable, which would explain the lack of more footage. Thanks to akumatose for sharing these! The first clip, above, shows replay footage, and the second provides a look at the interior.

November 8th, 2009 at 1:21 pm

Bravo! PD
LOOKS good even with the crappy recording …@ least the driver drove the car better than the people in the last demos (lol),I peeped the Damage to the car starting @ 1′09″ and you can see it numerous times, but look @ it between 2′18 to 2′30. the minor bumping (except when the driver first hit the wall) reflected minor damage, very nice!

Now with all the new screens and video’s is it me or is this starting to look better than For3
I am no fanboy and never will be but there is something about GT5 that looks better I was personally dissapointed with F3 when i played it but that’s just me not sure about what others think. but I will say the packing for forza is really dissapointing ms could have done a better after all they are trying to sell the thing for heaven sake.
I am going to be prepared to wait a little longer since the wait is no longer than waiting for Pokemon Heart gold which is set for around the same time.

@Tim
I think the same thing about FM3. It seems like i was waiting for more than that. FM3 is not much of a game. I thing they could have packed it all in a demo. The “store front” thing is stupid. It looks like they waisted time with it.
FM2 was a step behing all the competition in 2007 and now FM3 is just at the same level as other games. Even on some reviews FM3 got a worse rating than FM2 did.
There are a lot more problems with FM3 than with FM2, like menu which is boring and complicated. Some times you don’t know where you are and what are you doing. There is no main screen or main menu. The only menu which you can call main is the carrer menu which doesn’t need to be main. The real main menu is where you can find windows like carrer, arcade, cars, online, tuning, options, credits + some more probably. The main menu needs to have a lot of features in it, needs to have a good backround and needs to be packed together densely. GT5 prologue main menu is nearly perfect, but it needs to be packed without moving left and right.
FM3 didn’t nearly change at all from FM2 and it’s really dissapointing. If you have an Xbox but not FM3 better buy FM2 cos you’ll save money.

Oh my sweet CHRIST, why do you keep complaining about Tokyo? Its clearly the track they are using for these Demos, it looks better than any track seen in any sim. Now multiply that times the 70 tracks we know of, and the ones we dont.
Do you honestly think thats the only track thats going to be in the game?
I just wanna see the top gear track, then I can stop online participation till march. People are just complaining every damn second.
November 8th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
It is me or are the two videos exactly the same ?
November 8th, 2009 at 2:32 pm
Nvm, before they were the same but it’s fixed now
November 8th, 2009 at 2:33 pm
OK, so, can Sony realase this demo like GOW 3?
November 8th, 2009 at 3:16 pm
I think the EK Civic looked effing amazing!
November 8th, 2009 at 3:27 pm
Why does PD keep changing the 3rd person camera.
Where it is placed and how it moves.
In Gamescons it was perfect
Than TGS it was like GT4
And now its more behind the car and still glued but you can see the car turn a bit more.
They need to just put it the way it was for Gamescon.
Anyone else feel the same?

@Walsall FC!
The band playing in the background is The Offspring and the song is called Hammerhead.
Nice vids
November 8th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
i agree with both “Tim” and “Wolgib07″
they should have called it forza 2.5
November 8th, 2009 at 3:46 pm
I love the camera man slowly crouching to the side of the car in the pits.
November 8th, 2009 at 4:06 pm
I hope they are releasing some direct feed vids soon with sound. I want to hear what Kaz called “one of the most improved features”.
November 8th, 2009 at 4:26 pm
my goodness my cousin thought that this was real racing video, and she was shock when i told her that this is GT5 game. I hope we can have this game ASAP, the waiting for the launch really hurts, i hope there is a demo this year
November 8th, 2009 at 4:53 pm
“Gonner sem”
Its NOT the Mini that you in the video there is a pic of that car on this web site a pages back and it you got on “You Tube” and type in HKS CT230r you will see a few videos on it. Its a EVO……………….
November 8th, 2009 at 5:23 pm
I want to know what is written on the windshield of the EK9 Civic. There is GT on either side of some words I can’t make out. If anyone else would know what I’m talking about, it also lookds to have Spoon mirrors but no other signs of a Spoon EK9 (possibly the wheels also)
November 8th, 2009 at 5:35 pm
yeah “ICANT55″ you are right but still that mini is awesome oh and 950 cars i don’t think so looks like we will be getting another 50 to complete 1000 omg 1000 cars we love PD
November 8th, 2009 at 5:48 pm
I am so ready for this game.
November 8th, 2009 at 8:02 pm
2:02 on the first vid, you can see the hood and front end popping apart, it seems that the G37 will have the full fledged damage
November 8th, 2009 at 8:40 pm
@ Gooner sems,
I hope your right about the cars the more the happpier i will be…
November 8th, 2009 at 9:12 pm
i thought the mini was a porsche from one angle :(
November 9th, 2009 at 12:28 am
Sweeeeet.
November 9th, 2009 at 5:06 am
Stunning
they should realllllly get the demo out, either as update for gt5p, or either as stand alone ( i know they won’t ), but it’s so bad ass.
Maybe the mini is a tuned mini (tuned with the livery editor) or it’s simply a mini from the mini cup.
Ohhh damn I WANT GT5 :(
Bought SCC to get over the waiting time, but i’m already back playing gt5p ’cause it’s lots better
GT RULZ THE WORLD (at least gt world )
November 9th, 2009 at 5:32 am
I still got twice the same vid !
November 9th, 2009 at 8:52 am
March seems so long!!!!! :/
November 9th, 2009 at 3:45 pm
just change this one thing pd…….. why do the bumper camera sticks to the back of the car? when the car turns the camera sticks to the car…it looks weird, it has been like this from granturismo 3… good thing there is the cockpit view. apart from that to me the game is brilliant, long live granturismo.

Sorry to jack your thread – I need some help please. Tomorrow my PS3 arrives – I have never owned a game console before, nor have I played GT. Best Buy offers Gran Turismo and GT5: Prologue. Which should I buy? I should add that I will almost certainly buy GT5 when in comes out in March.
November 9th, 2009 at 4:23 pm
Steve, “Gran Turismo” is the PSP game, and “GT5 Prologue” is for the PS3. So you’ve really only got one choice. :)
November 9th, 2009 at 4:30 pm
Jordan – thanks for saving me a second walk to Best Buy … and I have a feeling this game is going to be the best birthday present ever.
November 9th, 2009 at 4:41 pm
No problem, congrats on your new console and enjoy the game (now it’s time for a Logitech G25 or G27 wheel)! :)
November 9th, 2009 at 5:08 pm
Jordan – one step at a time – first I have to learn to get around a track without crashing.
November 9th, 2009 at 9:13 pm
S3 Racer – agreed
Seems like a long time till March… damn!!
