GTPlanet User Takes First Spot in GT Academy UK Finals

Winner of the first GT Academy “Wild Card” was just announced last week, and I’m very happy to report the award goes to GTPlanet’s own James Hudson. Hudson, who goes by TwinturboCH here in our forums, has now become the very first confirmed national finalist in all of Europe. The second UK “Wild Card”, of course, is still up for grabs in the GT5 time trials currently underway at GAME retailers around the country.

For the rest of you, time is quickly running out – the first round of GT Academy EU ends in just a few days this Sunday, April 17th. Visit our GT Academy 2011 forum for more last-minute tips and tricks from other participants. Good luck to all GTPlanet members, and congratulations, James!

Were they showing shift 2 gameplay in the background while people were talking? or are those also hints to tuned GTR’s in the future?!

If by runner-up you mean 7th-runner-up? Just kidding! Excellent job TwinTurboCH. Signature Edition Challenge wasn’t much of a challenge in terms of actually playing “the real driving simulator” the way it was meant to be played anyway. Good luck in the national finals.
