New GT5 Time & Drift Trials, Online Car Dealership Updated
Hot off the heels of the formal Gran Turismo 5 Spec 2.0 announcement, Polyphony Digital has just made two new Time Trial and Drift Trial events available in the game:
Time Trials
- Japanese 90s Deep Forest Raceway/Reverse: for any commercial car manufactured in Japan in the 1990s. Participant cars can be tuned up to 345BHP and 1000kg. Tire selection is limited to comfort/soft or less.
- PP750 Cape Ring Outside Time Trial: for any car with 750PP or less. Tires are limited to racing/hard or less.
Drift Trials
- Eiger Nordwand G Trail Reverse: for any car equipped with dirt tires.
- Autumn Ring Mini/Reverse: for any car equipped with comfort/soft tires or less.

More drift and dirt events Are great. Polyphony should also consider dedicated servers to drifting and gymkanah as well.

DO AWAY WITH THE ONLINE DEALERSHIP!!!!
Does anyone remember when GT5 didn’t have an online dealership? Everyone had to actually WAIT for the rare cars to show up.
And the most credits of any race was 117k(American Championship), now the American Championship is 97k and a 1 lap ride in a Ferrari is 504k!
Mark my word…Every room will be buzzing like the sounds of bees once the x1 is able to be downloaded. Now, every room has the 2J,2D,GT ONE, Speed 8, 1963 Corvette Race Car, and the BMW V12.
I hope you all that really wanted the GT ONE are going to be happy seeing a room full of them!

Are you serious? They put the Speed 8,the GT ONE, and the BMW V12 in the online dealership at the same time?
WHY?????The online dealership is KILLING the rarity of the cars!!
Can anyone answer this question: Why does the Miata show up on nearly every refreshed list on the Used Car Dealer and the Cuda only shows up twice a month at best? Do you get my point?

AAAAAAARRRRGH the BMW V12 LMR is in the OCD! You guys want to hear a story? I thought not, but i’ll tell it anyway. The other night, the BMW popped up in the UCD, at 3.6 mil cr. I thought to myself, geez, i really don’t know when i’m going to see that one again, i’d better snap it up. I had 2.5 at the time , so it was a question of winning a few seasonal’s and i’d be good. Except i was playing really badly and not getting any wins, so i have 3.1 mil cr by the time the Beemer is right at the bottom of the UCD, one more race and it’s GONE. So i think to myself, ok, i can do a time or drift trial, because the UCD doesnt refresh when you do those. But i’d already golded both time trials and i’m B A D at drifting. Long stgory short,it took me 2 and a half hours to finally gold the Special Stage route 5 drift trial, and the BMW was mine. So, that’s my story, no, don’t mention it, was a joy to share it with y’all.

Yes! The OCD contains the last two standard cars I don’t have: Pescarolo Courage C60 – Peugeot Race Car ’03, and Audi R8 Race Car ’01.
The only other non-DLC car I don’t have is the X2010 Prototype. I guess I gotta get working on that X2010 challenge gold. :-)

Figuring it out, the new OCD has a cost of approx 32mil to purchase all cars….I love it, reason to modify more unused low level cars to win seasonals with to buy the biig guns a 0 miles.
