One of the most well-represented racing classes in Gran Turismo Sport is set to see its ranks grow by at least one more car, if an Instagram post from endurance racer Matias Henkola is to be believed. During the Nürburgring 24 Hour race last month — where GT Sport was playable for fans — Henkola and the rest of the team had access to a special private build of the game, where their Walkenhorst race car was made available for crucial virtual seat time.

Much like the automotive sector, China is a huge market for gaming. Sony is capitalizing on that with a tour of the country over the next week, and Gran Turismo Sport will feature heavily at all three planned events.

The teams over at Playground Games and Turn 10 have stayed remarkably quiet on the car list front for their upcoming open-world driving game. After the initial reveal at E3 this month, gamers have had to piece together Forza Horizon 3’s garage based on videos, pre-order info, and interviews. That changes today, as CNET has revealed the first 150 cars set for inclusion.

Summer holidays are going to leave a big impression on Gran Turismo fans spending their vacation in Japan, as Polyphony Digital recently took to its Pit Stop blog to announce it will be hosting special GT Sport public sessions over the course of the summer. Much like the previous event in the country, these will be open to the general public.

The folks at YouTube channel SurrealCar are back at it with another video comparing Assetto Corsa with the real world. This time, the star isn’t an Audi hatchback or a carbon-tubbed Alfa Romeo, but the fearsome Lamborghini Aventador 750-4 SV. The big Italian bull arrived as part of the Red Pack earlier this week, and the video highlights how accurately the digital version replicates its physical counterpart.

Previous Mixed Reality videos recorded using iRacing featured GT3-themed gameplay where Marcel Pfister aimed to display the benefits of the Oculus Rift VR headset while tackling corners in a RUF GT3 machine. There’s been a curious trend of vehicles showing up in Forza Motorsport 6 without notice. First was the 1966 Nissan Silvia last December, which players were able to purchase through an unusual method. Access to the car was removed in the next update, but that hasn’t stopped other cars from being discovered. The most recent car pack – titled “Turn 10 Select” – has brought with it another new ride: the Ford XY Falcon GTHO Phase III.

The day has finally come, the Red Pack is now available to PC players for Assetto Corsa. Named after Italy’s national racing color, the pack pays tribute to Italian machinery and is dominated by a certain Italian automaker more synonymous with the color than any other: Ferrari.
