Ford Falcon GTHO Spotted in Forza Motorsport 6; Set For Horizon Inclusion?

There’s been a curious trend of vehicles showing up in Forza Motorsport 6 without notice. First was the 1966 Nissan Silvia last December, which players were able to purchase through an unusual method. Access to the car was removed in the next update, but that hasn’t stopped other cars from being discovered. The most recent car pack – titled “Turn 10 Select” – has brought with it another new ride: the Ford XY Falcon GTHO Phase III.

Revealed by Forza franchise insider Badned over at Forzacentral.com, players can’t currently drive the Aussie homologation special in-game. What Turn 10 has planned for it is unknown: it could be another Unicorn put up for grabs in an upcoming community event, or perhaps a prize in the Forza Racing Championship.

Whatever the case may be for the car’s future in Motorsport 6, its appearance all but confirms it will join the ranks in Horizon 3. After a Playground Games employee confirmed Aussie auto history will be a highlight of the game, we certainly wouldn’t bet against one of the most famous of the breed being a part of the festivities. With roughly 10 weeks left until the game releases, we should expect to see the car lineup unveilings start soon.

We’ll have more to report once Turn 10 makes an official statement.

If forza has this, then Gran Turismo should include Regular Car Reviews’s vagabond falcon! That would be sweet!

No! Gran Turismo NEEDS to add more Australian content, not these rubbish, slow and unreliable American Fords!!!

I had a look at that Vagabond Falcon – absolute crap! 90 hp? This GT-HO Phase III was a 1971 production car, not specially built, that came with a 351 cubic inch Cleveland V8 (5.763 litre) that produced 224kW (300bhp) at 5400rpm and 515Nm (380lb-ft) of torque at 3400rpm. With the rev limiter disabled it is capable of 228 kilometres per hour (142 mph) and can exceed 7,000 rpm in fourth gear. The production rev limiter is set to 6,150 rpm. At the time of release, it was the fastest 4-door saloon in the world!

Personally, I’m not a Ford person but, as an Aussie, I would much rather have this Ford in GT Sport than another American Ford! What I’d really like to see in the GT series are Holden’s and HSV’s!
