First 150 Cars Revealed For Forza Horizon 3: Ute Better Believe It

Strewth! Utes are coming to Forza, and this is the first to be unveiled.

The teams over at Playground Games and Turn 10 have stayed remarkably quiet on the car list front for their upcoming open-world driving game. After the initial reveal at E3 this month, gamers have had to piece together Forza Horizon 3’s garage based on videos, pre-order info, and interviews. That changes today, as CNET has revealed the first 150 cars set for inclusion.

For players familiar with Forza Motorsport 6, there are very few surprises. This is to be expected: with DLC support continuing for that title, genuinely new metal may be saved for closer to the release date to avoid spoiling any potential crossover reveals. Polaris arrives as a manufacturer, though not with a rumoured 3-wheeler, but a buggy.

Three Aussie vehicles get their official reveal today: the 2014 HSV GTS, 2014 FPV Pursuit Ute, and 2015 Ford Falcon XR8. The two Blue Oval rides get accompanying images (check the gallery at the end of the post), while the HSV GTS is found in the full list. Of note is that this brings the road-going modern Falcon count up to two: the GT F 351 model is also ear-marked for the VIP car pack, joining four other new-to-Forza vehicles.

Cars in bold seem to be cars new to the franchise but 2014 Holden HSV GTS shouldn’t be in bold. It was in FM6 already, just under the brand HSV (Holden Special Vehicles) instead of Holden.

  2. Skids4kids

I really hope the full list includes an R8 Maloo, it just wouldn’t be ‘straya without a proper Holden Vs. Ford ute battle.

I like that most of Forza Motorsport 6’s DLC cars are included in the mix; gives a chance to try ’em out without having to pay extra.

    Also, racing cars?

Very interesting, I like it… Man, I’m so eager… mostly for the blueprint feature. Gonna enjoy driving my own enclosed circuit layouts with dad. He never was good at finding his way in GPS racing games, now he’s gonna be able to keep up. ∩ω∩ (It’s a happy kitty emoticon.)

This is quite a great start to a car list! I’m so used to GT that this game had me looking up pictures of cars to make sure I was reading the names correctly!

Who knew that an Escalade or a GMC Van would end up in a racing/driving game! There’s a lot of other out-of-the-ordinary cars. This list is unlike GT’s where there’s about 55 versions of the same exact Nissan Skyline, or 30 Mazda Miatas.

No RX-7 either :/ or SW20s aw…. But the rest of the car list seems, alright. I may play this on my next PC if I buy it at least.
