Ahhh Nice to finally drive this Track and listing to live covering from Leman on the TV – Place No: 4185 in a Pescarolo Judd after 10 laps – Time to sleep .. Happy Racing :o)

    1. Flagmo-T

Could it be in the second hard corner to the right, after the start line and Bowed corner ?

I think that we are going over the Apex with both wheels, it’s just a little hard to see, when you sit in the car..

( maybe the penalty comes even when the opposite wheel hits the Apex of the turning way, which is a Ok Rule in real Racing, we do use that rule when we drive online endurance Races in our FB Group on EX: Le Sarthe 30.lap or Nurnbergring 30.laps – It’s considered Cheating, like Cutting a Corner But we all agree on that before starting hehe :o)

  2. Flagmo-T

@Mer1nza You Saved my weekend – It works without old ghost’s – Thnx M8 :o)

@Dusktrooper – Ya you’re right, the system ‘Performance Difference Bonus’ isn’t a part of TT/DT’s But how would they be interesting/Work in these event’ ? I can’t see it – I actually like the Idea of being Given a Car, and a Track and then go for the best Lap time, There is still lots of secrets to get a Faster car in the settings, even though others are using the same car, the knowledge of setups will make a bigger difference, and only driving skills and Clean Race Spirit will put you on the Top 10 board, but then a 740 place still a big effort :o)

@PitCrew – Thanks Bro for such a nice gesture M8, that’s a cool help in my Book, I will deffo give it a Try, if you could send it, and ya I know there isn’t any guarantee, But then it would be too good to handle hehehe – Thnx Bro..

    PSN: Team_MoFF-No2 – ARtist Name: Flagmo-T – Real Name/FB Name :Flemming Terkilsen.. :o)

Ohhh Damn Doh Hoo – It wasn’t suppose to be a Comment, it was a reply-feedback Hehe So Sorry for the waste of Words here :P

  3. PRR

To maintain some reality-like cars, I think PD should aggressively limit power limiter and extra weight setting.
It is quite unreal to take ultra-high-power car and limit it so that it has max power from min RPM to limiter.
I think power limiter should go no lower than 90% for example.

    1. Progress823

It is realistic to limit a car’s power (see NASCAR – restrictor plate; IRL – electronic fuel shutoff; etc.) up to around 50%. I would rather see other methods applied to this – adjusting turbo/supercharger boost pressure, engine compression, etc.

    2. vabeach311

Are you referring to the first 250+ times on the 600 TT are the J2? Think they should ban that car like they did F1 cars on the 700 TT. They could do the same for the Nissan 390 Road Car, it had dominated past TT in the same way. If you do not have or use those cars, your rankings are worthless.

  4. Dragonthing

Well this is pretty abysmal by any standard…so I’m not allowed to enjoy my normal drift cars? I instead have to fail at dirt ‘drifting’ with the still poor physics and then struggle to find a racing car that will do the complete opposite of what it is supposed to do…

  5. Flagmo-T

Ohh Bloody something bad Poop tasty wrongness just happen :o)

‘ I’ve had 3 almost full runs on Le Sarthe in a 787 and last one in a Pescarolo – and all 3 times the PS3 stalls just before the last two small Corners ( just before startline ) SO i had to skip that event :( ( It’s the game that stalls, because i can push PS button, and Quit Game, and load it up again )

The other Event (TT) is Ok, but sadly the Top is ones again Driving The chapparal RJ2 from 70’s ( damn not sure about that name again :P Hehe – It’s so quite amazingly boring to watch. SO i skipped that too –

You guys are really making these TT’s into a only winning boredom and not a Challenge, by Constantly using the same Cars for all these TT’s , PD has to find a system, that makes you drive other cars, then that Car only.
If you haven’t got it, you wont have the chance of getting even near the top..

    Next Time PD..
please!! If it’s a Rally TT, Make the Mitsubishi 03 available to buy, and any other TT’s like the one this time, A Chapparal RJ2 available to buy, or just Narrow the use of Cars to a more Narrow selection, that you apply for using.. Then lots of other drivers, that haven’t got all the time in the world to drive GT5 and win the special Cars, a slight chance of feeling good about them self, Because there is no doubt that these Cars are needed to all of us to make it Fair Racing experience
( This is just to boring to look at ‘ Sorry boys )

There is a slight chance that I’m making a fool out of my self again, Weirdo ‘ Spoiler :o)

    1. DuskTrooper

“PD has to find a system, that makes you drive other cars, then that Car only.”

Uh, they did. It’s called ‘Performance Difference Bonus’, unfortunately the PDB hasn’t been used on TT/DT yet.

    2. Pit Crew

Unfortunately Flagmo You may have to considr lvl ticket duplication, if you wanna tap into owning some of those cars like the Chapparal 2J 70. as that car is 15 mill Ibelieve and doesn’t show up in the UCD when you need it. If you can get your hands on a lvl 23 ticket, it has a bevy of great race cars including the Chapparal 2J70 , Toyota1, BMW V12, 70 Toyota Race Car, the787B Mazda ( I think you have that) Audi R8 Lemas car etc etc. I can send you ticket if you need though no guarantee what car you will get.

    3. Mer1nza

“and all 3 times the PS3 stalls just before the last two small Corners ( just before startline )”

Are you following your (or anyone else’s) ghost? If so, try turning that off and giving it another go.

For some reason I can’t follow any loaded ghost (including my own) on most courses because if the ghost crosses the finish line before I do the game freezes up exactly as you have described. If I set the ghost car in my current session though (meaning I haven’t loaded one), I can follow it around all day long.

Possibly something messed up with the game data, but I’d rather just avoid loading ghosts then re-installing/downloading everything again.

    4. Flagmo-T

  6. tacom08

Passed the Eiger Norwand G Trial with a fully modded SUBARU WRC IMPREZA 2008. Now to buy a Pagani Zonda F

  7. TheEnd35000vr

Nice to see PD keeping up to date with real world motorsport :D
And that picture by mazda787.. My God, I thought it was real!

  8. TomBrady

You know PD may make some odd choices at times, but at least for once they’re doing something that not only makes sense but is also really appreciated by some of us racing fans.

First the F1 at Monaco time trial (the week of the monaco GP, which I personally loved doing), now a LMP1 at Le Sarthe time trial (Le mans is this week, and I love that they’re doing this).

It may seem obvious to do, but nonetheless I’m really happy about it, and enjoy this type of thing more than any other seasonals they’ve done.

    Good choice PD, good choice.

    1. TayTheDay

You’re forgetting the Nurb time trial that accompanied the Monaco one (as we had the 24 hours of Nurburgring one week and Monaco GP the next)

I totally agree though, I might go scan some more race series’ calenders to see if we have anything else conveniently lined up :)

    2. Quakebass

I just wish they made the events bigger; like a semi-endurance A-Spec race on the given course (like a 24 minute and/or lap Sarthe/Nurburg race [depending on which event is going on]). But I’m glad PD’s been supporting the seasonals with meaningful content nonetheless.

  9. ding0tr0n

I just wanted to say whoever picks the photomode pictures that accompany these articles is doing a great job.

    1. TayTheDay

haha I was even watching Le Mans qualy lastnight (and again today) but completely forgot about the new TT and hence it was a nice surprise! But yeah, it was to be expected …By the non forgetful types unlike myself ;)

    1. EVODUDE999

haha what a noob! thats such a noobish car! when the hell is a frigan buick special EVER been able to drift on DIRT yeah thats realistic…use a rally car like a real man and stop drifting with your noobish car

    2. SamMakinBacon

damn man, no need to be like that! I’l drift what il like, your comment is really childish…

    3. Pit Crew

Thats the internet SamMakinBacon. Your statement hurt no one, yet he chose to beat you up bout it anyway. A Sad Shame.

    4. SamMakinBacon

arite i understand you cant drift them and you cant get high scores, so you think talking crap will make you better, stop cryin and go pratice driftin maybe?

    5. Pit Crew

No TaytheDay, the sad shame is one GT5 player focusing on how another GT5 player gets his or her groove on using the Cars and Trucks they earned playing a game they bought using their money. Like the saying gos; “DoYou” and dont worry bout others.

    6. Quakebass

I really can’t stand the words “noob” and “noobish”… So EVODUDE’s comment kinda just pissed me off. Also, it really doesn’t matter what car you use… does it…?

  10. montecarlo87

And the rest of us are still playing the hurry up and wait to see if the next DLC will consist of a few LMP cars. Damn you GT Academy.

  11. jetmac

I have not been able to learn to drift. Anyone have any tips or links to instruction on laerning to drift?

    1. Pit Crew

Check out the Drift tune link. Its best to also check out the replay from 1 of the top 10 just to get a visual idea of a clean Drift pattern.

Dont focus to much on the cars they are using, just the technique and the aggressive camber angles they use.

      tiepoes happn lol :)

    2. Quakebass

try to find a car with lo grip/oversteer, and just practice on basic tracks at low speeds. You need a RWD car, thats really it. I recommend the Aston Martin DB9 or Lotus Evora. Just go slow into corners, then slam the throttle to get the tail to kick out. First figure out how to hold a powerslide, then you can get more advanced on your angle and apex. It’ll take a little while to figure out, but you’ll do it.

    3. mikecustom

practice makes perfect, just grab a low powered car like a 350 z or a 370, rx7s are good too, then go to a drift lobby and try to drift around, some people in the lobby might even help you out, to be honest, the tuning of the car is impotant but i dont have especial set ups for drfiting, i just drfit with my racing set ups cuz im lazy, once you feel confident with low powered cars, move on to something with more power, old muscle cars are great for drfiting, but never use an AWD car, it may look easier to drift but after a while, when you switch to RWD, it will be even harder to learn, I learned to drfit like in 2 weeks, and about a month after i became the leader of my team, once you get to that level, its like riding a bicycle, you will never forget how to do it, and you will be able to drfit whatever you want, with any set up and on any track, including dirt and snow tracks

  12. sanesh21

Damn I gotta say, that drift trial at Eiger Nordwand was one of the strangest things I’ve done lol !

    1. TomBrady

Why? They’ve done drift trials on rally courses before. I don’t prefer them but it’s not too difficult to get the gold, and I’m not a drifter at all.

  13. mikecustom

these ones were easy, i did the la sarthe one with the GT-R TC and golded it in my first attempt, and i came from playing NFS MW just 5 minutes before i inserted GT5, the dirt drifting was kinda funny, uphill dirt drifting with a 1000+ hp viper is insane, still made to the top 100 though

  14. Blood*Specter

Now we’re talking. These (along with GT1 &3) are the cars that rock. We’re talking speed and endurance.

    1. Pit Crew

Yank Pieces of junk lol OK. Had PD used the Rat Motor specs or introduced a COPO (Central Order Production Office) or Yenko Dealer mod on them Chevys you would think Diferent. Please PD Get us some better American Muscle for GT6 so the non believers can experience the Holy Grail of American 59 to 71 Muscle.

Enjoyed the TT and need more work Drifting in Racecars but as always, an enjoyable experience.

  15. Progress823

Something to look forward to after work…. Buy new 908, leave stock without chassis reinforcement, adjust gearing and pp level, then gold time trial.

One thing though, PD: Where is a one or two hour A-spec expert endurance event for this weekend? I figured we would have had something to that extent as you gave us a B-spec 10 lapper last year. We need events like this in game, two laps races are too short.

    1. yudge2k

      +1
PD should also do some rally events like in the special event… You know those special stages. That would be cool too!!

    1. infamousphil

I ran the “HighPerformanceRacing” lobby online, met some real competitive friends but mostly haters that caint respect an assistance or performance restriction… DAD

    2. infamousphil

I ran the “HighPerformanceRacing” lobby online, met some real competitive friends but mostly haters that caint respect an assistance or performance restriction… SAD

  16. shmogt

Oh man I killed these. My BMW V12 tune which was built originally for sarth came in handy lol. Than my Buick special drifter placed me 99. Barely but I’ll take top 100.

    1. lldantell

If you want to gold circuit de la Sarthe, then the 908 with a good tune is the perfect car for this because I was 230th place in the ranking.for the 600pp one,the high performance g37 because I got gold in my first try.i haven’t gold the drift trials because one of the tracks is a dirt track and the first drift trial is a racing car drift trial.seriously

    2. TokoTurismo

Thank you for your reply and explanation, it was really good. :) I’ve gold the Sarthe track with my GT One race car, and the rally one with my GT-R ’12. But it was downhill and uphill drifting. O_o

    3. Pit Crew

@TokoTurismo Go figure, a Dirt Drift event with characteristics based on the trials of life (uphill downhill) lol

I may have overanalyzed that 1 but oh well..

  17. BMfan

Never been a fan of the race car drifts and TT’s but at least with it been on Le Sarthe it will more fun.
    Thanx PD.

  18. Swagger897

idk about that.. there are some hardcore Le Mans (ers??) out there like me that would rather do this and get a faster time than Alan McNish!!

I WANTXXXXX…. I NEED THE R18…. PLEASE PD, PLEASE READ THIS, GIVE US ALL THREE VARIANTS OF 2011’S LE MANS AUDI’S!!!! (i dont know where they are going to be able to find Alan McNish’s car, or Rocky’s either)

    1. BlindZenDriver

Sorry, but that was not Allan’s car it was Tom’s car :-)

I would also like to 2011 one but having the 2012 ones plus the Toyota’s and ideally a few more would be even better.

  19. Marky264

Gutted I missed out on earning Cash on the last TT I never did them in time before this appeared :( ah well this looks like fun though :)

  20. otakukid96

And, ironically, I’m running B-Spec Le Mans right now. Gonna give this a try as soon as that’s over.

    1. BMfan

Do you think that everyone is soo slow that they can’t see that you posted the 1st comment?

You don’t need to worry though because not everyone here is that stupid that they can’t figure out what is the 1st comment.

    2. Stevo

Come on guys give credit where credit is due, this guy is a champion commenter. Well done man, keep it up.
