I like the no tuning as its fairer for the time trials. I dont like the 40mph hybrid lupo handbrake “drifting” style, so lame

    1. 48ShowtimE24

I also dislike the fwd drifters. I feel like it’s cheating too, and it doesn’t even look good.

    2. braunracing88

I don’t think front-wheel drive cars can drift well at all. I know it’s easy to do so in one, but it’s not very beneficial due to speed loss.

  2. lemans2005

Time attack is much better those “chasing rabbit” Seasonal Event, at least I enjoyed it every time.

    1. Flagmo-T

I really Like this Timetrail, it’s fun and creative, Because the car can be thrown around like no other, so I actually have Fun with it.

No:1067 on the board, so doing ok :O)

But most of all, i find it Fun and Fair for all ..

    2. I roll engineer

      +1

But I think getting gold should be harder. When the fastest online time is 7% faster than gold in a car that’s non-tunable it’s too easy. Or are we too fast?

  3. skyhighguy86

i find stock cars for a time trial is a bit boring, especially when the dodge handles like a BOAT, also when is PD going to stop the drifters using FF cars with the handbrake on , wiggling MAX points at 55 kph is not cool

Hello all, I need help cuz I’m trapped in this big A truck… making a living. I cain’t remember which is ranked higher, the ZR1 or the ACR? Is there a pp limit or is it stock?

Anywho, I’m quicker in the ACR, but wonder if others find the ZR1 faster. Is it a matter of tuning? It would be nice if PD would setup these special events for rival competition. There’s plenty out there.

    1. Both Barrels

At the dealer, the ZR1 is rated at 638hp, 1505 kg and 574pp.
The ACR is rated at 603hp, 1552 kg and 579pp.
The TT is set up with no tuning option in a stock car.

    2. Both Barrels

Oops, that should read 1508kg for the ZR1. I know the ACR was designed to dethrone the ZR1, but for me, they failed. And I’m not even a Chevy guy. I may have just started a holy war.

    3. infamousphil

Heck yeah you did! Best rival in GT5. Win or lose, I just enjoy challenging Chevys with Dodges. Thanks BB. Hope to get home soon.

  5. JohnScoonsBeard

Excellent. There should be one of these non tuning fixed car time trials every time along with a more usual with varied tunable cars.

    1. infamousphil

OMT… I’m curious. I have stock, street tuned (to matching pp w/SS tires) and race tuned (to matching hp/kg/pp w/RS tires and wings) versions of the ACR and ZR1 and am quicker in the ACR consistently. Maybe I just enjoy driving the Vipers more… I am a Mopar man at heart ;)

How did you come to your conclusion?

    2. Both Barrels

I have matched them both PP and weight-wise, and I recall the Viper being just a touch quicker too. I simply found the Vette more fun to drive. I have always loved them.

  6. SCER

this is great to see, i’m grateful for the fact that pd are still trying to keep things interesting despite the huge pressure they’re under with gran turismo 6.

  7. Pvig73

Is my game messed up or is there a different format for the time trials?

Normally I have to go to my garage to change cars but not this time.

    1. hobanator24

Not this one. On these, they let you borrow a stock Viper ACR & Cappuccino. It’s a good way to show the players driving ability, rather than tuning ability.

    2. Pvig73

Cheers bud. It’s a very good way to see how good we all are comparatively. Got gold but not as good as I thought even with a Logitech wheel :-)

  8. mcalva98

I own over 800 cars in the game, who ever needs a car tell me I might have it, unless you have a friend who has every car in the game lol

    1. Pit Crew

^ * I know you mean well, but why not start a gifting/trading thread in the marketplace. Thats what its there for.

    2. kekke2000

I beat you! I own EVERY car in the game (except the latest car pack with the Super GT car). No trades have helped me get there either.

    3. mcalva98

I own multiple cars, also I own every dlc, and I could care less that you own every car, I just put that out there, thanxs for the brag anyway

    4. infamousphil

Kekke2000? Do hour have a standard version of the Mazda Group C car or the Mitsubishi IV? Some sites say they exist but I haven’t seen them. Real diligent when it comes ucd cars.

  9. Lambob

    •Suzuki Cappuccino (EA21R) ’95: Kart Space I TT ,
great! time to teach my 5 yr old nephew to drive at the wheel , albeit virtually. Knowing him, he will back out into the seasonal menu and point to the Dodge ACR TT. Atta boy!

  10. Haitauer

yes – i have had a great tune in ACR (loosely based in the tune of the real life ACR) for a long time with which i have annoyed SuperVeloce and other top dogs. Now its time to see just how good the tune is. :)

  11. Sarkazmo

Got GOLD in both events. Best ranking is 175 for the Viper challenge but it’s early so I’m sure that’ll get knocked down in the 4k-5k range soon.

    1. Amac500

Lol, varmintx is right. Only time I ever sold a bunch of cars at once was when the 2J was about to go out of the used car dealer and I’d been waiting for that one for weeks.

    2. MeanElf

I’ve only seen the 2J in the UCD once in over two years – in fact, it might have been in the OCD…still waiting for another.

    3. 05XR8

I’ve been collecting and cleaning out my garage for the past 2 years. Not like the cars will vanish forever. Besides, I can only drive one car at a time. I collect maybe 20 of the same cars in diff colours or maybe all race cars or maybe standards and no premiums or maybe all premiums no standards. That’s the joy of this game.

  12. RESHIRAM5

Not another racing car drift trial, I don’t like them because people get so unoriginal with or not, don’t get me wrong I’ve seen this in other events. Why can’t we have seasonals that are more regulated so people can get a bit more created with there cars :(?

I would buy a Porsche license for PD if a Toyota 7 doesn’t win this seasonal.

    1. TomBrady

We all would. I’m pretty sure Kaz don’t like doing it because the price that Sony makes them charge. he said before that he doesn’t like how much developers charge for DLC but they have to charge somthing except in special cases like the new corvette.

    2. Quakebass

It’s more the fact that it’s obvious we won’t be getting any new GT5 content since GT6 is just around the corner.

And this was a scheduled Seasonal event… So I don’t see why the DLC complaints have reason to come in.

    3. StiggyGT

If PD focused on implementing more desireable cars like more classics (e.g -Ferrari 250 GT California) instead of 20+ different MX5’s, then there would be no need for longer production time and more DLC. That’s all I want from GT6, apart from Midfield Raceway, please!
