E3 2016: Ferrari’s SF16-H Takes on São Paulo in Latest F1 2016 Gameplay Footage

Team VVV brings us new E3 gameplay footage of the upcoming F1 2016, featuring the Ferrari SF16-H taking a couple of laps around Autódromo José Carlos Pace, home to the Brazilian Grand Prix.

While nothing new is revealed in the video, it is the first in-game footage that we’ve seen of this year’s Ferrari. Interestingly, Alan brings up the topic of VR support and how the peripheral could benefit the titles. The potential is there, as Alan states, with supporting features along the lines of headtracking, seat positioning adjustments, and perhaps even real-time driving adjustments on the steering wheel.

As mentioned on the previous gameplay footage, the overall UI looks unchanged and is still as straight-forward as it was in last year’s entry. The only readily-apparent change is the speedometer, which unlike the previous games, doesn’t look to have been inspired by the official overlay used during broadcasts.

F1 2016 releases August 19th for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC platforms.

Looks cool, though I wish there was direct sound.

Also, he brings up a rather sad point about the fans (which can really be applied to all motorsports) and how nowadays, you’re either a fan of this driver or you are an idiot for not being a fan (The Pro Hamilton vs Anti-Hamilton crowd comes to mind, as does the Manufacterer fanboys in Sport car racing). Its exactly as idiotic as the “Console war” crowd.

And by the way, did the site derp up? I guess it doesn’t recognize the accented A in ” São Paulo”

This is the first time I’ve seen a Codemasters game run at 60 FPS on a console. Was F1 2015 like this on PS4 and XB-One?

Yes,F1 2015 was going at 60fps on PS4 and Xbox one and at 1080p.
The only thing is that F1 2015 didn’t get career mode and the online wasn’t working really good..

At Least F1 2016 will get back career mode and safety car…now let’s see if they improved the online.. And hopefully it comes with less bugs and issues than F1 2015 also..
