FH3 Forzathon Gets Festive With Thanksgiving-Themed Events This Week

Americans are gearing up for Thanksgiving next week. Thanks to a certain consumer-oriented event that also takes place on the last weekend of November, Playground Games is kicking off the holiday celebrations a week early in Forza Horizon 3.

Players will be glad to know this week’s challenges are mercifully easier than last week’s high-flying demands. As before, when possible, you’ll be able to accomplish these tasks in offline mode as well as online.

While the fourth challenge will undoubtedly present the largest commitment in terms of time, it also has the biggest payoff: the rare Horizon Edition of Subaru’s funky little 80’s pickup, the BRAT. Not many cars look more appropriate roaring over the sand dunes in the Outback.

  • A Bountiful Harvest: Rack up 100,000 Landscaping Skill points while in a convoy to earn 10,000 XP
  • Gather For The Feast: Join and complete an Online Adventure in a Holden Sandman to earn 20,000 XP
  • Gobble, Gobble!: Join an Online Freeroam session to unlock 3 wheelspins
  • Food Fight!: Play in 20 Playground Games to win a Subaru BRAT GL Horizon Edition

There’s no discounts available for players this week, but you’ll want to start saving your credits anyway: word from Turn 10 is that next week’s Black Friday-themed Forzathon will include a 30% discount across the entire Autoshow. That’d make for substantial savings on some of the game’s more expensive rides…

This week’s Forzathon event is now live for all FH3 players across both platforms. It runs until November 24. Visit our Forza Horizon 3 forum for more Forzathon discussion.

Thanks for the pic feature! :)

I gotta say, the Forzathon events are at least for me quite fun, keeps the game alive between races and DLC/Expansions.

I still think the Club 1000 should come back, having special challenges for each car in the game was a very nice touch, had loads of fun doing as much as possible. I hope apart from snow the expansions add even more to the game, at this point many people have every achievement (which implies having done everything in the game) and Forzathon I’m afraid is not going to be enough for many.

the good: the challenge now lasts a week instead of a weekend and it’s easily achievable for all.
the bad: Playground games are boring.
