I don't really see the big deal. The positives far outweigh the negatives as far as that is concerned. Your really willing to sacrifice the ability to personalize cars and create replicas just because you don't like seeing cartoon asses? To be perfectly honest, I'd rather race with a field that has a couple of boob cars than a field with 5 Jeff Gordons. Thats boring and unrealistic (not to say boob cars ARE realistic, they obviously aren't). The people who make those, ahem, homages to the cartoon anatomy can be ignored. I'll have fun racing with my friends in replicas of 2010 and 2011 NASCAR schemes.

Sure, if you have bad taste and/or are a frustrated 13 year old boy this kind of thing is fine, and you probably don't see the big deal.

Yep, because it's so much nicer to race online against a thousand cars with anime and porn painted on them.

And so much more realistic :D

Don't get me wrong, custom liveries are cute to have, but they also have PLENTY downsides, so I would not even go near defining them a "must" or anywhere near a priority. If I had a dime for every absolutely tacky (and immersion breaking) car I raced online in Forza 3, and had to pay a dime for every good and realistic looking one, I'd be able to afford buying a Ferrari. Scratch that, I could buy Ferrari. All of it.

Yep, because if there was a livery editor, we'd have a majority of realistic looking nascar replicas, right? Not a thousand of nascar cars with boobs, asses and hello kitty? 💡

Are people still offering this logic, no, this rationale, no, as you can see....I don't know what to consider it because it's asinine. I suppose you're against people speaking freely on their microphones as well? Also, for the record, I hope you're aware that there are some race cars out there (most notably those that participate in SuperGT, yes, in Japan. Japan and anime - go figure) that have anime-style liveries. So, that defense you just presented.....out the window.

Well then that's too bad for you and them. Others shouldn't have to miss out on updates because you guys have crappy internet plans.

There is more then 1 internet plan in NZ, its a big place lol, not everyone has this guys ****y internet plan. I'm in Australia and have unlimited. Stop being a typical ignorant and bundling a whole country together because of 1 or 2 guys posts.

I'm sorry but what is wrong with showing off your individuality? Maybe everyone doesn't want to be seen as the next black Audi R8, the one without the wing. Why call it GT Life, when you can't for the life of you personalize to reflect your GT Life. I don't get people who complain about the down sides of a livery editor and then have lame reasons to back it up. What does wanting to express his creativity on his hard worked for cars in GT Life, have to do with being a 13 year old. I can tell you that many of the great works of art on FM3 we not created by some 13 year old, but by grown men and women. Stop finding fault in things and try to be reasonable, so what if you don't want to paint your car or anything like that, simple just don't. You are entitled to your way of expression or lack there of, but don't expect me to have a game that harps about a community aspect and then have no way of differentiating people. Communities are filled with individuals who are apparently and inherently different, it's the differences that make it a community. What will you talk about in the lounge? Aside from tuning that's currently broken and paint chips(needs to be fixed), no auction to be seen, just a gift car system that is risky business at best. Yes I would enjoy having a livery editor applied because I don't want to be just another number driving down the road. I want you to read SavageEvil on my bumper as I disappear ahead of you. FM has shown that this is a great tool, sure it has people who seem to enjoy sexual things, but those people are far and in between, you find many replica racing liveries, I even recreated the '99 Oreca Paint scheme for the Viper myself and I'm not good at much. Everyone has opinions, but far be it for you to force your opinion as fact when the vast majority of people would enjoy having a way to differentiate themselves from everyone else online.

Whilst I agree with the high principle of your argument, the problem lies in its ultimate conclusion: Some kids (or whomever) will create crazy offensive stuff.

...and this ruins it for everyone else that may have created something 'cool' or 'unique', because everyone else (if they desire to race in a public race) has put up with looking at the offensive stuff.

I would hope that legitimate concerns like broken, not working, crashing should be heard and addressed and carefully constructed requests with not only the 'issue' but a well thought out solution would be nice too but some sort of Beta must have taken place during production and PD have done games like this before! They knew how to do the rest of this game and the ones before it without our help and none of us contributed to the artistry involved either.

Most are happy with the fact that a largely great game has been released and that there is months and months of playable fun in there before reaching the bottom while others take a sip and keep spitting everywhere for some reason. There is an amazingly efficient engine surrounding that jaggy shadow if you stand back.

I intend no hostility btw, so :)

It's not the royal society ;) As long as peoples posts meet the aup then there should be no problem with what they write. What you and someone else see as a legitimate concern may be two entirely different things.

Wow look what I said earlier today....

This is a thread to discuss Update 1.03 and its contents.

It is not a thread to discuss what you want from the next update, the next Forza or for Christmas.

We have plenty of threads on these other topics, locate the search tool, have a look, discuss them in the correct thread (or if you are 1000% sure it doesn't have a thread start one).

Post on topic or risk losing the ability to post here for a few days.

I am serious, any member not following this will be given a 24 hr ban from GT Planet.

....quite astonishing that its still being ignored.

Wow - Its been a while since a member of staff has been ignored quite so quickly.

This thread gets locked for a few hours (at least) and a good number of you are very lucky to not be taking a 24 hour time out from GT Planet.

Just a quick reminder, the AUP includes this....

AUP
You will, if asked by a representative of the forums, cease posting any content.

...seems a number of you are under the impression the AUP is either optional or does not apply to you. I will be blunt, you are wrong.
