Sick to death of turning this game on for online racing only to find I've got to waste racing time doing yet another ******* update, part of which is to correct the **** up the last update did.
Just release the game when it's a complete game you ****wits.
Correct.
Or at least let me get online without having to do the stupid, pointless updates which I'll never, ever use, B Spec, crappy vision cars and **** knows what else .
The only updates I would bother sitting through are new tracks, at least give us the choice, rather than forcing them on us.
🤬 <---- Use that instead of relying on the swear filter.

You'll thank me later.

Frankly, I think ukmadmax is mistaken when he says the updates are useless to him. PD does not provide a changelog with each update, but I guarantee that there are occasionally changes to the code that are 100% necessary for everybody. I couldn't possibly care less about Vision GT cars. But any small changes in collision physics or something like that, behind the scenes calculations and processing, is welcomed with open arms.

As for the actual topic of the thread, I am "indifferent". It is a hotfix that they took the opportunity to announce GTA and another car with. Nothing particularly groundbreaking or to get excited over, but not getting the patch would have been unacceptable, seeing as it fixed a terrible bug.

What am I thinking. Getting worked up and stressed out... :ouch::banghead:

The problem here is that people just aren't happy with anything, no matter what they get. We got an update; it had the bug fix, a FREE car, and the GT Academy announcement. People complain. If we only got the bug fix as a hot fix, people still complain. We could only gotten the tranny fix, but PD is generous, and they gave us more. People would've complained even more if all we got was a hot fix. And if CM were to be released now, it's not finished, and it would probably be buggy. PD is working on it, and it will come when it's ready. PD knows we want it. The more we complain, the angrier they get. We don't want PD angry at their fans, do we now?

Im excited! I hope we can keep the cars this time
You're probably glad you weren't here waiting for the servers to come online. :)

"GTAcademy? *servers down for maintanence* *waiting* "Guys servers online! GTAcademy starts April 21st." *disappointed* :grumpy:

Kinda. But I figured it wouldn't start right off the bat and I wasn't expecting it for some reason

I am surprised that over 50% have said yes so far.
There really isn't much to the update, a bug fix and 1 new VGT car that we weren't really expecting.

I have been hoping to see the course maker before I start playing PCars next month and as for the VGTs I've been looking forward to the Ford and the Tesla since day one and still not a peep on either of those.

So I am happy that they are still updating the game but I am not happy with the content of the update. We need to get the course maker in the game, we need more options for online races and of course we need leaderboards. It is such a shame that these guys do not seem to know how to create an online multiplayer game.

I only said "yes" because it included the Academy, which is the only real reason I play anymore....to keep improving my skillset just for this event. Otherwise, its off to Xbox, Forza and PCars. If PD don't pull their head out of their ass, this might just be it for me as far as the GT series goes.

Meh. One fantasy car that's cloned from the one IRL. GT Academy and a hot fix (which is nice that PD listened, but doesn't listen to anything else). The Course Maker has yet to be shown, AGAIN AS USUAL.

Overall, nothing interesting. *Tosses away document* Yaaaaawn, Next please...

I'm not a bad driver, but I don't think I have a real chance in the GTA. IN Seasonals I can get gold at the first try and I'm ranked at about 3500. But I don't think I can push it so far that I'm under the first few 100 drivers.

Or which place do I have to be to get to the next round?

Good one Kaz

Seriously though...

Ok nah for real...

Ok ok ..here's mine

A dog walks into a bar and hops up on a stool. He looks the bartender in the eye and says, "Hey, guess what? I can talk. Have you ever seen a talking dog before? How about a drink?"

The bartender thinks for a moment and says, "Sure, the toilet's right around the corner."

with this update, this could actually be the last time we'll get something worth going online
PD is angry, you won't like when PD angry. No more updates, no more Vision GT, no more CM, GT7 in 2020.
yeah right they should stay angry, and with the incoming Forza6/PCars competition, in turn for sure they'll end up having no money :ouch:

Don't worry, junior designer touches up the jaggies on those standards, we copy paste everything over, improve the graphics and physics a bit, let the PR department blow the big horns pre-release and we promise the world in future updates! Sell a couple of million copies just like that... brilliant!

Thanks you for your comment, these are very important information for the community, good job...

Looks like we gotta continue to wait for the course maker.... unless we get another update this month which i doubt we might not get it until may. Btw i see that when you go to community and click on things its much more faster. Only positive in this update along with the VGT car.

I am surprised that over 50% have said yes so far.

I said yes because I'm judging it based on the actual content of the update; I like the VGT, I look forward to GTA, and I'm pleased for bug fixes, even if the bug didn't really affect me.

The people that vote no are possibly doing so in protest of the yet to be released features... which is fine, but doesn't actually relate directly to the content of 1.18.

There was almost no content, just the VGT, a bug fix and a menu link. GT Academy did not go live so I don't even count that and really all it is for most of us is another TT. So very little in the way of content and still no course maker nor even any word on when we may eventually get it. How can anyone be happy with that?

So.. if you you could skip 1.18, and never receive it's content, you would be happier? Seriously, your last sentence is what I'm talking about, you cannot view what you get for free, without thinking about what you don't have. I don't see that those things should be related.
