Due to lack of sponsorship the Woodone Supra is withdrawing from the competition. I will be joining Cristiano in the Au Cerumo Supra.
 
How many drivers are there now?
 
2x20 laps is pretty rough, please tell me that means 20 per teammate or something, that is really, really rough considering all of the long races you'll be doing in GT mode.
 
Can I join? Looking at the cars on page 1 I'll take the astra dtm! nothing like a nice V8!

Why dont we start right now and do one race every day hehehe
 
Any one out there worried about the difference in cars? The Skylines are the dominant entries and tops some of the others by 80hp! Anyone think that we should have a mod option to level the field? Something like: All cars can be tuned with a 500hp limit? Any thoughts?

hey all just wanted to put in my late entry for te GT4 cup.
I will be driving the Nissan pennzoil nismo GT-R 99'. If someone wants me on their team ill join and drive whatever, but for now im bymyself.
 
CONFUSED! K, 2x20 means both teammates drive 20 laps and combine their times?? What about the qualifying laps? DO we combine times? AN what is this about having two cars? Did he mean 2 drivers + 1 car, OR two drivers + 2 cars?
 
i think its combined times and we both drive the same car not sure about rest
 
is it too late to join? since it doesnt start untill may? if not, i'd like the Esso Supra please :)
 
I think the tuning to 500bhp would be a nice touch and maybe even balast so every car needs to be at least 1150kg or something like that because there are some significant weight differences ( for example the astra wheighs only a ton and a NSX ways more than 1150kg.... )
 
thats the challange of this cup, do you pick more hp, or less weight
 
TOTALLY AGREE!! We need to balance the cars a little! I say:

HP
Weight
NO NITROUS!
Unlimited body mods (cage, frame strengthening, etc)
Must buy wing (for downforce)
 
The best Skyline will dominate. This will be a very unbalenced race series! I don't want this to be like the WRS completely, but a little more fair. I don't want to lose every week by driving perfectly but having a slower car.
 
well first off its an arcade race so you cant heavily mod the car and you cant buy wings.
second off WRS isnt unbalanced because of car tuning everyone uses the same car, its shows that whoever wins has more skill than the next guy.
This is no different many of these cars are very fast some faster than others, it just takes skill and a bit of tuning know how to get you to win.
 
DUH! Forgot this was arcade mode. I can buy the car in GT mode and ahve it available in my garage, but not tuned. Sorry for the venting. Hope I can do better with my driving that with my words recently.
 
I'm pretty sure some of the other cars have a weight advantage on the skyline. That would just pose more complications.
 
My Skyline is the lightest, eventhough it is under HP from the top by 30 or so. We will see what happens. I can't wait for the GT4 WRS to start so I can see what division I am in. I hope it is at least Div 2!

Hello, I'm new here. This looks like the perfect series to cut my GT4 teeth. I haven't raced online since GT2, but I ran one successful rally spot race on the old granturismo.com board and finished near the top in several endurance races on another board.

So I see that only one person is listed for the Nissan Motul Pitwork Z. Could I possibly take the second slot in that car? It's my favorite from the JGTC.

BTW, did anyone see the California JGTC race on Speed Channel last weekend. Great stuff.
 
ok im changing cars into the car Nick_johnston28 picked the skyline loctite GT-R and we are called TEAM NSR for a benchmark in a quick test run i ran a 6'48.xxx at nuburgring with the pennzoil gtr99'
 
Ran some laps at Tsukuba Circuit... Got down to a 49.565... car has 473 HP and weighs 1100 KG
