ok, there has been a lot of confusion as to which mode we are going to do the races. in a few minutes, i will check something, which, if i am right, will work. it is to do a family cup race, which is basically an arcade race in gt mode. now, if my hunch is correct, i should be able o change the length of the family cup races by changing the length of the arcade races. then again, i am trying to progress further in gt mode, as so many of us here at gtplanet are doing, so feel free to try this if you wish. i will try to do this, but i may get caught up doing some other races.
now there is also another issue which i found whilst scanning through the last few pages. it seem as if some people don't know how the lenght of the races or the qualifying works. well, let me explain it detail:
for qualifying, you take your specific car which you have signed up to drive (stock, no nitrous) and you go into free run mode and you do laps of the circuit which the current race meeting is taking place. you then take your best overall lap time form the two days (that means the best lap time which you set over the course of both thursday and friday, which are the qualifying days) and you are allowed to post it in the qualifying thread. then, on friday evening, at 6:00PM GMT, qualifying will be over and I will look at the qualifying times and put them in order. then the resualts will get posted in a seperate thread.
then, on saturday, the 2-day race period begins. basically, what you do is you run as many races as you like and the your target is to get the best possible RACE TIME, not lap time. like i just said, you can do as many races as you like over the 2-day race period. then, on sunday 6:00PM GMT the race period will be over and i will list all if the race time and put them in order to find out who finished where. then i will post in a seperate thread the results and will also hand out the points.
now, back to which mode we do the races in. if you like, i will post a seperate thread which will contain a poll asking " which mode would you like to do the races in?" you can then vote as to which mode you would like, and it will close 7 days after opening. that way, the mode with most votes is the mode we do the races in.
