So what? What's the big deal? I don't see this as anything different from the last few seasons aside from the fact that WE know the system now. All they have to do is decide the punishment, then find where on the chat it fits so it seems more official I guess. THIS is all superficial, almost everything else is a bigger deal, even Jr's commercial during SB 48.

Nothing wrong with the penalty system.

Edit: Especially since prior history counts into it. Glad they don't start fresh with this.

The 2014 Sprint Unlimited will be the first ever Sprint Cup race broadcasted on Fox Sports 1.
In other words, FOX the network is too lazy to put NASCAR on a Saturday night. What in the world do they have that day?

College Basketball? Hockey? Reruns of American Idol?

It should be whatever channel SPEED was on your lineup. If you didn't get SPEED though....

On TWC in my area, FS1 is something like 1512. It's where ever the SPEED channel used to be.

Speed was 102, and FS1 was there for like a week, but after that the TWC in my area decided to rearrange everything by genre. So I've yet to find it again, but I will before the Sprint Unlimited

hey i need someone opinion on where to get the NASCAR '14. At walmart they're preorder bonus is a die cast car and gamestop has four in-game cars. so which one do i get?

Well would you prefer one model car or 4 driveable cars in the game you're buying?

On Saturday night Fox shows reruns from shows earlier in the week or the local station shows a movie or old episodes of sitcoms that are in syndication. There really is no excuse for not showing it on Fox.

The TUSCC is the ONLY reason I even am willing to watch FS1 (and the Truck Series as they just aren't willing to let those TV rights go to anyone else), otherwise I would've just stopped watching by now.

well gamestop has four themes saints row, metro last light, dead island and gamestop, while walmart has nascar '14 die cast car so i don't know which to get?

Well, what do you look for in pre-order incentives?

Those pre-order bonuses suck. Nobody is going to pre-order this because it's probably going to be horrible.
They need to go back to Thunder's career mode, update the graphics, and update the roster. I really want an actual sports game where silly season happens, too. In Madden, I've seen Aaron Rodgers play for the Bears after his deal is up, I hate playing NASCAR games up to 2020 with no changes whatsoever.

Like when Greg Biffle retires after one year due to a coding error.

Personally, the only one I find to be at all decent after looking at some of them are the Gamestop ones as they actually sorta mimic the real life Nationwide cars (sans the numbers obviously). Have yet to see the die-cast one from Wal-mart, but I'm not expecting good things from when I see it.

You didn't expect good things and yet you still expected too much.

well i really want both bonuses, but it would be illogical.

I'm sure one of the 5 people that will actually pre-order the game will put the car on ebay.

Well I expected to see a die-cast, so I got something :p

Unfortunately though, its lackluster. Not a fan of NASCAR sponsored cars as they are always bland.

Edit:

Despite all the changes, France remains unsatisfied, seemingly prepared to create more ways to eliminate what he perceives as the conservative nature of championship racing

Link

So basically, he's dead set on ruining the hell out of it (even though that's essentially what he has already done the past 11 years). Good to know.

NASCAR Thunder 2004 has tons of weird things, such as only around 16 drivers having a shot at even finishing in the top 10 (without manipulating the hell out of the race), and as a result you have drivers with crazy stats like 35 top 10's in a season.

Wasn't the race aired on SPEED last year?

I don't see that as being any different if so.

The game was made in 2003, AI is one of the few things that has gotten better since then (graphics and physics being the others)
