Brad and Carl on the same team?

That was years ago but still, it would be utterly bizzare to see them as teammates. Wouldn't surprise me if that's partly why it may not happen.

Well, Kurt Busch is Tony Stewart's teammate and we remember some intense scuffles those two got in so anything (well, almost anything) can happen.

Stewart has been in a fight with Busch and Harvick before though to different degrees and that didn't stop business from unfolding (though in the case of Kurt there wasn't much say Tony could give). I don't see it being any different here if Carl went to Penske, they'd probably get along and do what they're paid to do.

Montoya returns to the Cup Series this weekend in the Penske #12. Will be interesting to see how well he does, considering Brad and Joey have been front-runners all season.

Indeed @GTPorsche, he could've won the Indy 500 -he was on a 5 pitstop strategy while everyone else was doing 6 stops but a penalty ruined his chances IIRC- and #22 & #2 are pretty much locked in the Chase.

How the #12 fares could tell us more about a third full-time Penske car with CE99 next year... Blaney qualified 21st and finished 27th in his only (and first) race, Kansas in May.

I think this race will show people what we're missing with JPM not in NASCAR, whether it's good or bad is yet to be seen

What we have missed is a crapton of bent up sheet metal, Indycar can have him.
And lots of anger! I wonder who he'll put in the tires at Sonoma
Must have been Sebastien Bourdais moonlighting as Montoya all these years....
*Sebastian.

Bourdais belongs in sports cars in my opinion. He has been awesome driving for AXR and Starworks these past few years

I don't think Montoya is able to run the road courses this year due to a lack of a pit crew for both venues.

Montoya as of now is only in the car for 2 races- Michigan and Indianapolis.
I can't wait. This is the one time Montoya has ever been in a truly elite car- I wouldn't be shocked at all if he wins one of these races.

In other news, Kyle Larson and his girlfriend are expecting. At the age of 21 may I add.

It happened so fast.

That's nice...but I don't get what age has to do with it?

I think many people consider early 20s to be too young to have kids. When you think about the past few years, all the drivers who were expecting babies were way past 20.

And suddenly, his Nationwide sponsor Cartwheel now is truly ironic (along with his Cup sponsor).

Maybe it's me having personal issue with that notion since I had my kid at the same age as him, well closer to 22 but still in the same proximity. Though off subject it's a bit asinine when people move the scales as to what they think is an acceptable age to have kids. I mean 16/17 is wrong, and yet so is anything from 21-25. It hardly makes much sense.

Um no it's actually how @GTPorsche spelled it and to be frank he's more knowledgeable in international drivers and probably smart enough to look something up to be correct in spelling than you and most people. No offense just know how he is when it comes to this stuff.

Oh and it's the french version of the name... So there is a major reason why it's not the spelling you tried to correct him upon.

In before the flood of complaints raining down about the mighty Cup Series superstar Paul Menard dropping down to the Nationwide Series and dominating the field today.

I thought Gateway International Raceway (now known as Gateway Motorsports Park) went defunct or something. I thought it went defunct after one of the previous races had some sort of power failure with the race. NASCAR Trucks are racing around Gateway as of right now for the Driving (or "Drivin'?") for Linemen 200.

Gotta love the fact that while Nationwide is basically just Cup with a different name and less powerful cars, Trucks still manage to be original. They just did Rockingham a few years ago, then Eldora and Mosport last year (the first dirt race in a VERY long time and the first truck series road course in... quite a while), now they're going back to Gateway as well.

Not sure why you quoted me since that is what I agreed the spelling was...

I was telling the other user that the common spelling he used isn't correct, but then again he has a tough time being correct on many things :sly:

unless the difference is the accent mark which isn't something most American's would know how to do since we don't have them in our language for about 90%-95% of diction used here.
