Also TUSC has the worst stewarding seen in a long time that ALMS would have never had issues with in it's opening 2 races.

Which they acknowledged. They've upgraded replay equipment to HD and made other changes. There was garbage all over the track at the end of the Long Beach race - but they kept it green

Surprised seeing @LMSCorvetteGT2 like every negative post, because of how quick he is to attack those who question other motorsports.

ALMS P2 teams are slow. Get over it. Even if Oak won a race, ESM, Pickett etc would be miles behind it and DP teams, probably fighting with GTLMs like they did at Long Beach.
Remember, negativity is always the best solution. It's always the best thing to quit watching a series, but still complain and moan about the series.

It's the same idiots who stewarded the ALMS who stewarded TUSCC these first 2 races...

To the PWC guys: PWC won't be anything major anytime soon. All the marque races in America are locked into TUSCC. Unless TUSCC folds (it's not gonna happen anytime soon although I think it will change ownership and be reworked many times) PWC will stay a side show.

The best sports car racing in America is the Continental tire sports car challenge. It's GT4 spec on steroids with another class that's just as exciting. Tons of variety, tons of close racing, and tons of cars on the grid.

What am I suppose to be questioning, and if you're that naive you'd notice I'm not that only one that does it, just so you know.

So being critical is now negativity? Do you plan to quit crying at any point due to having an inability of making a counter point that doesn't rely on putting American racing in an ivory tower without many facts if any? Also how am I still complaining/moaning about the series? It's quite simple I don't want to watch an unorganized project, which is an argument you've made in the past "if you don't like it don't watch it" and I'd think this would be a proud moment in your life, since you're finally right.

Also speaking of proof, how do you know the stewards are the same from ALMS and now somehow after these two races the stewards are now previous Rolex.

Did I ever say Rolex stewards are now the TUSCC stewards? I made this point to try and get this response. If you knew about the series, you'd know that the same stewarding team was in charge of both the ALMS and Rolex series last season, so technically, yes the previous Rolex stewards are in charge :dunce: In 2013, prepping for the merger, the Rolex series put Paul Walters in charge of stewarding

Then what's the point in bringing it up if I'm "technically right" and if your trying to bait you might want to rethink that and read the AUP, if you feel neglected because I'm not commenting toward you then you can take it to my wall and you and @Earth will get all the attention you want.

Also now I don't know about the series because I don't check who stewards the race yet I'm still somehow right even though I don't check. Man I'm a lucky guy.

I wouldn't go as far as calling them morons.. that's basically doing what the article says us as fans of the series should not do..A house divided cannot stand.

It's not wrong, but that doesn't mean people who liked P1 and/or ALMS just have to be happy. It's not as simple as, "suck it up." If there is a competing series that meets the desires of those fans better, then yes they will root for the other series to gain premier status over TUSCC.

People who watch TV shows want sports to start getting bad ratings so their shows don't get interrupted. Boxing fans hope MMA collapses so that boxing regains it's spotlight. Indy fans want NASCAR to lose its glory so Indy can be back on top.

People aren't saying, "I hate it. I hope it dies." They are saying, "I hope it fails so they make changes that make me happy or a series I prefer takes over as the go-to sports car racing series." And how do they make that happen? They eventually take their wallets and go elsewhere.

I'm not happy yet, but I'm giving it two seasons. I might cut it after one season because I have Petit plans in place already, and if they ruin that experience then I am done, as that is an event I've gone to for nearly a decade. It's the highlight of my year. Also keep in mind that I don't have cable/satellite, so I only get to see the races after they are put online and I already know what to expect, so I don't get as angry as if I were watching it live. I do not affect anything but a single ticket purchase if I quit.

But more passionate or less impatient people have reason to look for something elsewhere while they wait to see how Tudor turns out.

All that said, I do realize that Americans complaining about Tudor not being enough like ALMS sound a lot like that guy that shows up at the party where everyone's watching football and talks about how soccer is so much better and we should all be watching that instead. And that is something the old ALMS crowd needs to keep in mind.

That "Joest" guy is most definitely a moron.

Kinda agree with it. We get that the series has growing pains and serious issues to overcome but for the love of all that is sane, enough of it already.

In a funny way, aren't they giving the very object of their ire/discontent more attention though? It seems to me like its exactly same sort of counterproductive idea that people do with bad game companies: They choose to just make a big stink about it and wish it all to hell rather then simply stop acknowledging their presence at all (which in that case means stop giving them money).

Long Beach was definitely a step in the right direction. The happy trigere fingered officials must have been shaking like junkies on rehab when the 2 DPs visited the wall!!! They definitely did a great job and made the right calls on that one keeping it green all the way, I hope that the rest of the season will be like that, even the long Endurance events.

My wife doesn't watch basketball when it bumps her show. She says she's pissed about it and then watches some wedding reality show on Netflix. She gives them none of her money.

Thoughts?
I can agree with the first half of the article.
But by the second half it was getting old.

I did not know anyone was rejoicing over Muscle Milk leaving.
I already miss them and Dyson.

Sunday evenings has my wife pissed trying to catch the "60 Minutes" clock to see how late her shows will be delayed because of some sports.

Dailysportscar expects a "high-profile" team to announce it's withdrawal from the series early next week.

It could be Viper, since they are having financial difficulties and already withdrew from Le Mans. Or Alex Job racing, after the Sebring debacle.

My god this is not how I thought the series was gonna play out this early on.

If it's Viper, it's nothing to do with the series. They're struggling for sales at the moment so Motorsport is kind of an afterthought right now.

I can't see HPD wanting ESM to debut their new customer car- they aren't any good. 8star likely won't stick around when they get their Ligier, I don't blame them.

What other choice do they have? There literally is nobody else running an HPD right now.

Find another team. JRM? Highcroft? KCMG would dig a new car. Muscle Milk, but that ship sailed quite a while ago. Dyson may have done it too. CORE Autosport? They could drop one of their PC cars. Conquest Endurance perhaps? I don't think it "Needs" to be a team running Honda currently.

On the subject of Nissan not providing support... They aren't supposed to support LMP2 cars. The head of JOTA Sport explained that Nissan has nothing to do with the engines other than the origin of the parts. Nissan P2 engines are built/run by Oreca or Zytek. It's the same as having a "Hendrick" Chevy V8 in your NASCAR- if it pops you don't go shout at Chevy, you shout at Rick Hendrick.
Nissan DOES give cash/driver sponsorships to teams like Muscle Milk or G-Drive or ADR-Delta, but they aren't involved with the day-to-day running and development of each engine.
I also find it curious that we blamed Nissan for having a poor car/not being developed, when the Oreca-Nissan is the preferred chassis/engine combination in both the WEC and the ELMS(The Morgan is faster at Le Mans, but is slightly compromised at tighter GP tracks). Regardless, the engine alone is the ONLY engine used by ANY team in the WEC right now. The only reason people use the Judd is it is significantly cheaper.

So that's that then.

As far as I can tell, JRM has no interest in going Prototype Racing again at the moment (besides, wouldn't they already be as a Nissan only Team?). Highcroft as a team no longer exists (despite their involvement with the Deltawing), Dyson wants no part of TUSCC at the moment and even then seems tied to Lola, Muscle Milk as you pointed out isn't happening and CORE Autosport is way too heavily involved with Porsche North America at the moment. As for Conquest Endurance, I think the package they have right now works just fine as Gustavo Yacaman proved this past weekend (Sans the Aggression). And KCMG, I'm not so sure that team (or any team outside the states sans Canada) will think TUSCC is worth the expense in traveling to the US.

Andretti Autosport could run the new P2 Honda. The team ran Honda P2s a few years ago and is using Honda power in Indycar again

I'm not sure what JRM are doing at the moment, but didn't they have an HPD P1? And I wasn't speaking directly about TUSC, I just meant that in general, HPD wouldn't want to debut their car with a questionable team, in a questionable series.
Scenario A: HPD debuts car in TUSC with ESM. They continue to lose, their target market (P teams, mostly made up of DP cars) goes "Lol wut? Why would I spend money on the slower car?" Internationally, people go "Wow, they can't even beat those Rednecks in the DP cars? Why bother?" Honda then sells no cars.

Scenario B: Honda debuts car with Murphy Prototypes, JRM, KCMG, SMP, Morand, Delta-ADR-Millenium etc. in the ELMS. Other teams "Hey, we need a new car because they're gonna require closed-tops. That Dome has issues, and the Ligier is limited in distribution (or other reason). But those Honda teams have pretty solid cars. I think I'll have one of those!" IMSA teams: "Woah, look at all those people running Honda's, it must be a solid package!"

I know there's a lot of "ifs" in there, but I think you see the idea.

Can't much worse be said about the only Lola Mazdas in the field? The Oreca Nissan AND the Pescarolo haven't been anymore successful either. Also, I'm pretty sure people are still going to blame it on the series BOP (as they have been ever since this series began) before they JUST say "Oh this car sucks"

Indeed I do. However, teams didn't seem to be even interested when the ARX-03C was doing well (apart from Strakka and ONLY Strakka) so I'm skeptical that this new coupe will make much difference.

@hawkeye122 I had no idea that people overseas saw the DP as redneck mobiles, quite insulting. Almost seems like ignorance from one fan base to spur on the ignorance of another fan base @cnd01 for example.
