***The Lamborghini SC63 has taken its first Evo joker update ahead of this weekend’s race, with the Ligier-chassied LMDh car debuting an all-new rear suspension, confirmed by a Lamborghini spokesperson. Sportscar365 understands that Riley-run factory team tested the car at both Indianapolis and Michelin Raceway Road Atlanta prior to this weekend in the updated configuration.

***This weekend’s race is the second-to-last scheduled outing for the SC63, with the Italian manufacturer having previously announced that it will “pause” the program next year. Further clarity on the future of the car is expected to come during a media roundtable meeting with key executives on Saturday.

A hail mary attempt to save this program? Why bother if its not, just sell them off to some collector and go back to GT3 sales.

Another rogue employee is getting the ax at MSR huh.

There is a chance of rain and T-storms in the last half of the race.

Does LMP2 normally start that close to GTP? People in iRacing get pissed right off when that happens lol

As an aside I never noticed how small these Hypercars / LMPs actually are. The Mustang makes them look tiny!

I've been near (like, inches near in the paddocks) the GTPs at CTMP 2 years ago and I can tell you they're not small at all, the Mustang is just humongous. They're about the same length as a 5-Series, but wider and obviously lower.

Alright I wouldn‘t have expected that. Tbf I have never seen modern prototype race cars in person.

The older DPi cars were actually smaller than the current crop of LMDh and LMH cars. Though even still I felt the LMDh cars were still pretty small in person, but then when everything on the road is a mid-sized SUV or full sized truck, everything is pretty small 🤣
And next year hopefully I can go to the IMSA race at Indy, since it isn't super far away. Still need to prep all my camping gear for Petit though lol

Man that sucks for #04

Edit: Great racing by the Cadillacs, especially Ricky Taylor in the last few laps.

Team WRT will run the full 2026 IMSA season. No word if it'll be a single-car or 2-car entry, though.

First reported in July by RACER's Marshall Pruett, BMW M Team WRT will run two M Hybrid V8s in IMSA, taking over from Rahal Letterman Lanigan Racing (RLL), whose 17-year partnership with BMW concludes after the 2025 season.

The accomplished Belgian team, led by team principal Vincent Vosse, will make its first appearance with the updated 2026 M Hybrid V8 at the November IMSA sanctioned test at Daytona International Speedway.

The Petit Le Mans entry list has been published.

Imo, the biggest news piece here is that KMag will be present in the #24 RLL BMW. That car currently sits in 3rd, 14 points behind the #7 Penske 963, and 131 points behind the 1st place #6 car in the GTP Championship. BMW could very much steal 2nd, but there is a plausible, albeit unlikely, chance for them to steal the title from Porsche if A) things go really well for them, and B) if things go pretty badly for the #6. NO matter what, KMag is a very fast driver, so I think putting him in the #24 makes BMWs intentions very clear.

Also, Connor De Phillipi is gonna pull a Ben Keating, as he'll be the 3rd driver for both of the Paul Miller M4 GT3s.

Really cool, I‘m definitely going to recreate the Halloween Rexy livery in GT7!
