I agree about the track. It's the reason I still play Forza Motorsport. I'd love to see this track in Gran Turismo.

Quite frankly, I think this is a bad idea with equally worse timing, given the rising costs of GT3 racing and the state of the global economy, particularly in the auto industry. As much as it pains me to say it, I have a hard time seeing OEMs being ok with committing even more time, money and resources in the long-term to race in what is ultimately a major regional championship, rather than in their own backyards where it's likely a good bit cheaper to race than in the US currently (and likely have an easier time racing their cars and drivers in other parts of the globe).
If IMSA are willing to subsidize some of the costs for Mercedes and Ferrari (and potentially Lamborghini and Aston) to run a GTD Pro team, then I could maybe see this happening. Otherwise, if it's going to happen, having it happen next season would be a little too soon imo, since we already have potentially 2 GT teams bowing out, and I could see it potentially be more depening on how the rest of the year shapes up.

It's appropriately ironic than Dragonspeed & Pfaff got pole today in their respective classes. And another one is gone.

It's interesting, isn't it? Someone posted a race-pace analysis on the IMSA subreddit, and the Temerario was 1 of 2 cars, the other being the GTD THOR Aston, to post a best lap in the 1:46s. Caldarelli, along with Nicky Catsburg in the #4 Corvette, maintained an average lap time roughly .5 seconds faster than nearly every other driver today.I don't know if they wanted the Lamborghini to win that one or if they just underestimated it, but last year's lap times were faster for the other manufacturers, close to the #9 Temerario if not faster.
Funny you put this... I went and did a couple of chores and came back and thought, "Well for ****s sake, it's still yellow"!!IMSA has to be the least efficient series when it comes to clearing a FCY... 25+ minutes to pick up a single car is ridiculous.
Yeah that was ridiculous. Theres gotta be a better way.IMSA has to be the least efficient series when it comes to clearing a FCY... 25+ minutes to pick up a single car is ridiculous.
