Hello,
May I ask did you make the pit areas work correctly. Original Gilles version of Glen 1967 has a split pit area(2 sections) where the 2nd part of the pit area did not work properly(the speed limiting did not work). Also original track was kind of bumpy. Thank you for your work, will download it and try out your changes later today. PS I also have all of Gilles tracks and agree many could be improved, Several of the guys here in the group have made or redone several of Gilles converted tracks which are also very good. Take care.

Nope, I did just visual stuff. Fixing the pits and adding bumps would be a job for someone more capable person.

Whole CM shaders settings are default? I understand that you have other cars that works just to narrow down which issue can be caused by spoon. Every track combination same issue? With or without rain activated?

Old EG Spoon before those updates(wipers etc...) is OK on my PC.

make a backup of ext_config.ini inside car extension folder and put this one.

Now that I think about it, something similar happened to me with the steam platform for mods.
If I recall correctly, at one point GTAV modders started to release mods that were dependent on other mods.
I just wanted mods to be as little intrusive as possible. Didn't want them to change the whole game.
If there's a thing I don't like about the CSP scenario, it is the fact that mod versions (I would call them improvements, rather than issues requiring troubleshooting) are virtually endless.
Also, CSP brings bugs from time to time. There's a book called Systemantics that puts it clearly: (new) systems for things create problems that weren't (shouldn't be) there in the first place. If we check the changes each ACC and Automobilista update brings, it's almost the same thing. So, in conclusion, we're not really strangers to it.

To the car modders, I ask: how difficult would it be -at some stage of a mod development- to release a version that's independent from CSP?

Hi! Now I agree 100 % with you. Bugs are part of the life-cycle of any software, so anybody using a computer for a while will end up with at least some basic troubleshooting skills.

However, if the CSP features are optional, instead of mandatory (as when they are in a config), it's not only easier to troubleshoot the occasional issues related to CSP, but also the mod could still be used while the issue is ironed out. Except in the case of mods that rely on CSP encryption, of course.

As some of you may remember, I'm doing driver kits and gloves for my whole cars library (2087 cars).
Starting from 1923, I'm now in 1991 and have covered 1/4 of my cars.
The whole library is quite heavy to upload, and most of all, too customized for my own library to make it easy for others to install.
However, if anyone in the forum needs a specific driver skin (say, for the 1989 Audi 90 Quattro GTO) you can ask me on PM, and I'll see what I can do.

Been following it since few months, and I've known GTPlanet since 7 years now, when I was playing GT6 and looking for good tuning guides.

@JakubP @flyingsaucer - you can make this mod very nicely, just a few things noticed after downloading
(i write to help you spot the areas for improvement, not to empty criticize - I am still learning too, started just a few weeks ago!)

I downloaded the car , run it in Assetto Corsa ... and
1. stopped in the pits at Opaque Windscreen (all gray to me) -> thankfully it's not as hard to fix as other quirks.
unpacked it, imported to Blender and by the way re-added missing honda badge, adjusted roof antenna etc (just for my taste)
- windscreen fixed
2. the size of original kn5 is 230MB -> i have reduced it to 100 MB (still WOW but much betta for a quick start )
3. "Spoon" banner is invisible from the cockpit and the lhd wipers even exaggerate the effect - but they work in csp 1.66_2, so should also in 1.67_1(great!)
4. wipers are from lhd (left hand drive car) , but this civic is rhd (see screenshot)
- take the wipers eg. from civic type-r ek2 and fix/adjust

I'd love to help myself, but
1. dashboard and tyres of that car are messed up on importing to Blender (so it would require even more workarounds from me)
2. i can't upload such big files (even compressed) here.
3. time resticted.

We can work togheter no issue or trouble for me. You have found two front windscreen?

I've created 3, Windscreen, Internal and Damage Glass.

Maybe some windscreen parameters is not set as "NO SHADOW".

I think 3 front glass are needed to obtain windscreen/wipers, raindrops, damage glass.

In this way this car works with and without "USE NEW WINDSCREEN EFFECT".

Lol, no! Not that many! Most racing cars, even today, share the same glove models.
Also, I'm not doing individual work for street cars, lol.

Hi Diego! In almost every scenario, you can place the glove files (2016_Gloves_DIFF and 2016_Gloves_NM) inside the skin of each car.

Thanks a lots for testing so it depends by a 3d object inside the scene, some material shader or parameter. Only in VR?

Thanks, i would love to contribute and i already got things working on my side (talking about the windshield), just i'm not able to upload my kn5 files here. (and as i mentioned, there is issue with dashboard and tyres on importing to Blender - i think because we use different 3D software).
If you can swap the rhd wipers and adjust it,and fix other minor bugs like windshield banner(Spoon) - it will take much less time than adjusting my compatibility issues with importing this model to Blender. So, cheer up!

BTW just one more hint - if you gonna take wipers from that civic type-r ek2 (they are correct rhd wipers), remove some mesh leftovers from right wiper.

Hi Diego! In almost every scenario, you can place the glove files (2016_Gloves_DIFF and 2016_Gloves_NM) inside the skin of each car.

you can also put your custom gloves, helmet and drivers suit here:

C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\texture\driver_gloves
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\texture\driver_helmet
C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\texture\driver_suit


and use a skin.ini file to point at those files... so you don't have duplicates:

skin.ini files are text file editable with notepad containing that info:

you can edit any parameter to point at your desired folder.


look inside any kunos car skin and you will find a skin.ini file allocating a certain suit/helmet/gloves to a skin. look into those folder to see how it works...

the thing is not really user friendly yet. This could definetively be a cm implementation to have a visual representation of a driver appereance. Like you choose a track, a car, and a driver.
