Is this the next level of slowdowns now?
RD is not reachable, does not appear to be linked to internet connection, other sites load fine and it also doesn't load on my phone via mobile data.

Maybe they are finally joining the modern computer age and migrating to some faster servers.

Yeah, thing is: there wasn't even a extension folder in the jeddah_2021_chq map.
I had to made a extension folder to put the bahrain_2020 (author jk v 0.1) config in. After that the night lights in jeddah were OK.
Afterwards I added the pyyer F1 2023 layout, which was nice looking during the day, but nuclear at night.

I have no no jeddah_chq-lightfix.ini either, nowhere... so, disabling it in the config isn't even necessary, right ? Or what am I missing ?

I never understood the need of putting configs outside the track/car folders. People are adding stuff they think is good, but really isn't and breaks other things.

the extension folder and the config are inside the last update of Pyyer's addons.
Most of the time it's better to have only one ext_config, but if you have multiple layouts some time it's necessary to have custom config for each layout.

Is it easy to make a car presentation in the race menu like in the video below? Some car mods have it and I loved it. BTW, this car is great! Thanks, MNBA!

[xNAPx]

steamapps > common > assettocorsa > extension > config > tracks.
Don't know why it's there and not in one of the folders (Chiqui thing I guess because there's also the hong_kong_grid2_chq.ini).

But that said, changing the values as mentioned above and without the Bahrain config in the track extension map, it's still not looking good.
Above that, with Pyyer's F1 2023 added, the standard layout looks good at night, but Pyyer's is still overexposed at night, while during daylight it's the better one.
It's a mess (at least on my part) and again above that I totally dislike the track layout ...

Ok thanks for this I might way for a fix than. It's not the end of the world

Copy the .json into the car .ui folder

[giorgos_nes]

edit in the same manner "jeddah_2021_chq\extension\ext_config.ini".
Edit "jeddah_2021_chq\jeddah_f1_2022\extension\ext_config.ini" at section:
[INCLUDE: jeddah_chq-lightfix.ini]
ACTIVE = 0

That worked for me! Thank you!

[PGMurphy]

I guess I had something similar and I had to map my sequential shifter as first assignments, wheel paddles as second and some random buttons from keyboard as third mapping. This is how I have my settings currently

View attachment 1240723

Not sure if same issue and if you can leave wheel paddles unassigned as next/previous gear in this.

I tried this, but no change for me. I appreciate any suggestions though, as this is quite puzzling and annoying, especially as the shifter still works in other sims.. well, AMS2, at least.

[NandoRock]

Copy the .json into the car .ui folder

It worked! Thanks, bro!

This is mental... Any ideas how to lower the brightness? Tried the things with reducing 22 -> 2.2 etc for all lights, both in "ext_config" and "jeddah_2021_chq" but still getting blinded

[Aaron Green]

Does anyone know whether AI use wet weather compounds currently? I've run a couple of races recently and some cars go round really slowly like mobile chicanes and then other cars are basically uncatchable as rain doesn't seem to effect them. I'm using the latest version of CSP with rain enabled and extended physics.

If you follow @Quark67 tips you should see this (CHQ and Pyyer versions)

Still somewhat bright, but not nuclear anymore.

Still somewhat bright, but not nuclear anymore.

i fixed it for my personal use, and there's no overexposed lights but (for my tastes) it requires a full config from scratch. Even on low shadows, it still too demanding with the setting used for the lights in terms of fps (like basically all ChQ tracks).

The overexposure in pyyer config, is due to the bridge lighting he use since day zero. He (even on the config i update in the past) keep using and reusing the same values which ends in a full overexposure unfortunately

Must have just missed it, thank you so much man!

Does anyone know what causes the Sebring 60s track loading error and how I can avoid it?
ERROR | Crash! Trying to generate nice dump: 000000E3427FC200

Aye, it's something in the latest CSP tripping it up - go to \steamapps\common\assettocorsa\content\tracks\sebring_60s\data and delete audio_sources.ini and it'll work.

There's also an issue with the occlusion blocking when you go under the final bridge and the scenery disappears for a moment - you can sort this by deleting the relevant lines in the config.ini

Finally, parilla just released an excellent AI for it so make sure to grab that: https://www.racedepartment.com/downloads/sebring-1966-faster-ai.59027/

Care to share that config with us? 🥰

Care to share that config with us? 🥰

is not a config (yet) simple a tone-down of all lights but it looks terrible (at least i was able to avoid losing my ability to see).
Maybe for the weekend (if i found some free time) i will try to "finish" a config that can be playable (at least for potato pc like mine)

[safi hellie]

Bit crude, but first try at a display case simulator.......

My new "fake" version for the Ferrari 330 TR/LM, winner of the 24 Hours of Le Mans 1962 (O.Gendebien/P.Hill). Two versions of skins (clean and dirty). You can have fun while something better is not done.

I've got a really weird Content Manager problem that I can't resolve. If I use any version of CM newer than 0.8.2297.38573, the car and track pictures for my 'Previous Session' replay on the replays screen shows from a race I probably ran more than a year ago. The race info is correct, but the car and track pictures are not. Even if I run a new race session, it still shows that old car and track picture.

Would anyone have any clues as to why this happens and a way to resolve it?

for me nothing works or maybe I didn't understand what to fix

Here is my camtool cam set for the Jeddah track with all the Pyyer extensions as well. I can post my config file if anyone would like. I use pure so it will make a difference with the lighting if you are using SOL.

here is my extension. Just throw the folder into the track folder.

Are you also going to add the School Circuit Layout? That would be cool

I may be able to add a School Circuit Layout. However, I do not know the start/finish line for that layout. I couldn't find it on racingcircuits.info. If I don't know that, I can't proceed with the work.

From what I remember the school circuit had start finish on the back straight. in aerial photos you can still see fragments of what could have been a little pit area.

But the concept is different. I will release it tonight.
