Looking good!
Very nice, looks like a much more elegant solution than the stretched grids app too. I guess I have to stop putting off installing aiWhisperer. After nearly 12 years of ****** starts with AC's Ai, i finally found a workaround and managed to get the AI start like a normal crackhead.
Would it be wishful thinking to hope you're working on that Ligier next? This is update for GT4 spec race car from Aston Martin.
Yes, I will be making 2 more variations of the car sound for it before release and am also completely redoing the physics for it and all of the other cars i'm working on to make them controller friendly as some of them don't perform good on gamepad. I was originally going to edit the model, but since I didn't originally port the model I will leave it alone as i've fixed pretty much everything else with it.any news on the clk?
damn, that e55 is lovely😍
Yes. Ligier will be updated to. And other gt4 car from Lotus.Very nice, looks like a much more elegant solution than the stretched grids app too. I guess I have to stop putting off installing aiWhisperer.

Speaking of the Ligier, what are the chances we ever see mods for the new Ginetta and Ligier GT2 cars?
After nearly 12 years of ****** starts with AC's Ai, i finally found a workaround and managed to get the AI start like a normal crackhead.
It was a battle against the machine, reverse engineering, and it took 12 people and 876 hours to crack.
Kidding of course, in the end, the solution was to tell the AI "you can fully press the gasthrottle for 7 seconds at start". That's... Pretty much it.
I'm a little disapointed, to be honest. Even with the racestart timer and exceptions for other cases, it's barelly a few lines of code.
Of course the AI will try to space itself (like it always does at start) but with some safeguards off it's actually competent at bringing 25 cars moving at the player's pace.
I'll include it in the next aiwhisperer update.
For me, i never understood the fascination of the rotary sound, it is loud but annoying. In videos on a device, the 787b appear to sound like a v10 f1 engine, but it isn't as clean and nice in reality to an open pipe v10 or v12, or even normal cross plane v8s of high capacity. I guess they are comparable to the annoying 2006 -2012 era F1 v8s engines, loud but annoying. when i see modded old school rx-3 mazdas on the road, they all sound terrible and annoying to other road users. Must be one of those engines where beauty and sound quality is in the eye of the beholder. to me they sound as bad asexhaust modded diesel road cars, and 4 cylinder civics that are fart canned.I never heard it irl, but it is said that the 787B could be heard at all times around the track at Le Mans, no matter where it was. And they have basically the same engine.
The sounds in game really do the cars no justice, in that regard
I had a 1987 RX-7 Turbo II back in the days, so this is one of my favourite cars of all times. Even though the IMSA car is just a fiberglass shell on a space frame chassis.
The rotary engine is actually very clever, but it has some weak spots that were never really sorted out properly. So it's more difficult to maintain than a regular piston engine, even with a lot fewer moving parts and less stress on most components.
i thought chemflummi steals mods and modifies them?Chem is great, it sucks he decided to abandon Assetto modding. I still prefer his 296 over the URD and RSS ones and his C7 is my favorite GT3 car to drive outright. (I am a biased GM fanboy though, and a purist who doesn't like the C8 though)
Nice! I forgot about the Lotus. I'll have to see how these compare to the Guerilla GT4s and the Fenix Chinook GT4.Yes. Ligier will be updated to. And other gt4 car from Lotus.
He does not. That's copium from people upset he uses ported models.i thought chemflummi steals mods and modifies them?
They BOPed to compete with Guerrilla gt4 cars. They make similar lap times. Just Guerilla cars have wrong fuel cons values. On longer races they go to pits which ruins their positions.Nice! I forgot about the Lotus. I'll have to see how these compare to the Guerilla GT4s and the Fenix Chinook GT4.

I use this app here, works also very good. No messed up AI starts any longer.
Stretched Grid
AC AI is flawed on race starts where drivers check up if there's a slower car close in front. That makes it easy for the player to gain positions on them. This app modifies original grid positions with a stretched version, so AI drivers are much...www.overtake.gg
Pilot, could you please have a look onto the Huayra R by EXMods? The car paint (the carbon fiber) looks very dull and matte, I´ve had another version from a different modder where the car paint looked very good, but the interior looked rubbish. So I rather would keep this one.Looking good!
I think this isn't the only part wrong on their cars. For me, AI from Guerilla's GT4 have problems in tight corners, not breaking enough. Cannot play a championship because of that. Haven't you notice this too? They BOPed to compete with Guerrilla gt4 cars. They make similar lap times. Just Guerilla cars have wrong fuel cons values. On longer races they go to pits which ruins their positions.
Shure, i love this car.Man, this is just awesome. This game is more than 10 years old and still rocks.

Hey Guys,
I have an issue regarding Suzuka 98 track by Shin (https://www.patreon.com/posts/106187193). The AI who is starting from the pole missing the pit box when goes into the pit(the pit position for the pole sitter, (the one which is the closest to the pit exit, behind the player pit position)). The rest of the grid has no issue.
Here is an example video:
I tried with kunos car and I experienced the same issue. I am palying with CSP 0.3.0-preview140.
I have contacted with Shin however he said I should ask fgor help here as he cannot resolve the issue.
Can someone help me how can I solve this issue?
Thanks in advance,
Philip
Sorry, at least on my rig this won´t work. I still have 2 matte carbon skins, both named "default" (00 and 01), difference is only the rim color. Have you uploaded your updated file?Aston Gt4 does not have working wiper.
This how it will look now. i updated two versions clear coated and matte. Download.View attachment 1501467View attachment 1501468
All the skin folder are empty with only a preview file in itAston Gt4 does not have working wiper.

Thank you. Works now.silly me, yes i deleted extension files from skins. my bad. this time it will work. Download.
Yes tried it with earlier version but i have same issue. Maybe something with the track?did you tried different CSP version?
That obsessive pursuit of perfection...... when working on these older tracks that were released before CSP, I always want to get a sense of what the track maker intended the track to look like. So...
Looks great! is there somewhere i can find all your configs in the same place? You're pretty active in here so it's alot of posts to look throughSneaking up on it. Getting closer to a better color match to one of my reference photos.

On a side note, when working on these older tracks that were released before CSP, I always want to get a sense of what the track maker intended the track to look like. So I disabled CSP and had a look. It's amazing how different the track looks without CSP\Sol\Pure. It's has so much color depth compared to with CSP\Sol\Pure. The dirt areas actually have a dirt look to them (yellow\brown) compared to how they look like white sand with CSP. I'm doing my best to try and make the track look like it does without it but it requires a lot of changes to all the grass area textures.
