This is amazing. Have you considered pulling some of the PGR 3/4 maps?
I would love to race those PGR tracks again.. good times
Would be cool if the creator knows about the layouts.

I have these two links saved in my "Fixes" bookmark folder. Honestly I don't remember if I actually used these "tricks," but if I have them saved, it's probably because I did and they worked... Use them at your own risk; it shouldn't be necessary to point out that messing with the Windows registry is a delicate matter.I haven't been able to start a race without getting 99% CPU OCCUPANCY error and massive computer lockup for about 6 months now. I am trying to race Kunos Spa with VRC Formula Alpha 2024 (CSP) with 19 opponents. I have searched the forums and google for answers but I'm just not finding any. I remember a while back a lot of people were going through this but it seems to have went away for all of you guys. Can you give me some advice please?...
Preparation: After entering the game (no need to pause), press the keyboard keys Ctrl+Shift+Esc at the same time, and pop up the Task Manager to check whether the current game program is running in normal (default) mode for CPU. If it is, you can permanently set it to "High" mode as follows.Hi. How do you do the manual editing of the registry please to resolve this issue. Many thanks. At the moment I reverted to 2.12.
easier wayThanks. It seams quite complicated for me. Not very good with this sort of stuff. Will give it a go though.
the amazing race was f1 thoughWho watched yesterday's Arlington Indycar race? Great racing and I'd say it's more interesting now than F1 battery world championship. Sure Indycars have hybrids too but they are more in "assistant role" like they used to be in F1/DRS/ERS era.
So amazing race...Kyle Kirkwood's overtake on Alex Palou alone made it worth watching. Sure I don't really care about the oval races but the street circuits are amazing to watch. Since we can't really play Indycar on AC, who of our "AC gang" is waiting for the iRacing Indycar game?
I've been trying to help out Beni and Abulzz on the new lidar version of the Targa Florio and it is unplayable on CSP 0.3.x because of the broken GrassFX. Even CSP 0.2.x has weird grass effects but at least it doesn't have crashing frames. We need an option in GrassFX to display all the grass within a radius rather than having it 'grow' as you approach it even if it does mean higher resources because at the moment you have a draw line 10m in front of you that makes it hard to concentrate on the road and it is especially bad in a high res VR headset.
Because you do it for fun, not for money? Why would we spend 3–4 months working on a 3D model only for someone to steal it and re-upload it on sites like Sketchfab, Cults3D, CGTrader, and others just to profit from it?
This is the first mod I'm aware of (please correct me if there's another) that uses different push/pull animations for the up/down sequential shifting. Kudos, @Koldo83. A great little detail that adds a lot to VR immersion, and a fantastic car overall. Great job! We've released the 1999 Nissan R34 GTR GT500. We hope you like it and enjoy it.
Note: Although it's published on Patreon, it's a completely free release; otherwise, I wouldn't post it here. The mod can be obtained by downloading the file attached at the end of the post. Thank you.

Actually, our model is for sale on Gumroad and another 3D site, so in reality every download of the decrypted version represents a loss of potential revenue. Fortunately, I managed to recoup the cost of the model on the same day it was released, so financially it’s not a major issue for me. That said, we do this for fun, but that doesn’t mean we should just bend over and let people steal our work.Because you do it for fun, not for money?
(And legally, it's not stealing unless you have suffered a loss of money as a direct result of the action. Which you haven't, because you're not making any money from it in any case. Selling or distributing other peoples' intellectual property can also be illegal, but it's not the same as stealing.)
I'll have a play with custom splits, but at the moment I'm just very relieved that everything seems to have improved to the point that shadow issues now have to be looked for, rather than being obvious distractions that were very hard to ignore. Not sure if they're as good as they ever have been or whether I'm remembering through rose-tinted glasses, but maybe the limits of what's possible with AC shadow parameters have now been reached.@Masscot
The smart shadows seem less "grainy" than before. It's improved in part, but I still find the waterfall issue visually annoying. Custom settings mitigate the problem, but it will never be solved due to how Kunos programmed them, I think.
And this is where my skill/knowledge gpe deminishes because i am missing something......i just pulled this AO off the car and it is the same as any other AO..........Well you can't export it since it's encrypted so...
You are not missing anything, As long as the 3D model isn't blue crystals you can grab the AO files with 0 issue. You just need to set the AO to "multiply" in photoshop or whatever software you are usingAnd this is where my skill/knowledge gpe deminishes because i am missing something......i just pulled this AO off the car and it is the same as any other AO..........
Here is the thing i had maybe 1-2-3 pints down and maybe 1 or 2 more
i am not saying your wrong
i am saying why can i not skin the AO that pulled from it?
I feel like i am so thick i am missing something.....................
This happens when things are not made to the Kunos pipeline. This car, along with most of their others, are extremely unoptimized. Every car you have on the grid loads in 7 steering wheels. That is 140 high res steering wheels being loaded into your game. Things like that will kill performance. Now go load up a grid of RSS cars. The models have more triangles and details, yet they run extremely smooth. You can tell they spend time on optimization.I haven't been able to start a race without getting 99% CPU OCCUPANCY error and massive computer lockup for about 6 months now. I will try a skin for this BMW this week and see what i can do. As far as i can see it should be no problem. You are not missing anything, As long as the 3D model isn't blue crystals you can grab the AO files with 0 issue. You just need to set the AO to "multiply" in photoshop or whatever software you are usingotherwise you'll be making the livery ontop of the AO file instead of under the actual AO.

I'm amazed that car hasn't been decrypted yet actually, I remember when I first got my hands on it and I noticed there was some bad topology causing a shading error on one of the "windows" and when I decided I was going to fix it the model was encrypted. Physics on that car suuuuccckkk though.Yeah well the car is encrypted and Ceky didn't provide a template so we're **** out of luck lol
Jesus, how horrifying. It has an AO mapping to skins, It's a bit ****ed. but eh, (this is not the correct one, I just print screened it)
Is releasing the model on all of the 3d websites first and then releasing the mod later an option? For one it would be more likely that you recoup your cost, and for two it may be less likely the model ends up for sale on those websites under whoever decides to try and steal it? At the very least it would probably be much easier to have those sites take the model down if they see you already have the same one uploaded. Just thinking out loud here.Actually, our model is for sale on Gumroad and another 3D site, so in reality every download of the decrypted version represents a loss of potential revenue. There are certain boundaries people need to learn. You wouldn’t download someone else’s YouTube video, slap your own watermark on it, and reupload it without changing anything, would you? It’s the same principle with mods, in my opinion. Either you ask the author for permission and get the approval you need, or you respect their work and leave it alone.
I think the confusion is he is saying you cannot export the AO from the kn5 that's saved as a texture and "built in" to the model so to speak. You can still generate the AO using CM but in theory it could be different and/or worse, though I don't think Ceky is taking the time to bake AO in blender or anything like that so you're probably getting the same result. And this is where my skill/knowledge gpe deminishes because i am missing something......i just pulled this AO off the car and it is the same as any other AO..........

The Indycar content for Authentic Sim seems to be dead at this point. Detroit, Nashville, and St Pete have all been in beta for years now, with no substantial updates or progress shared. Authentic Sim seems to have the same issue that Historic Sim Studios has: tons of new projects /WIPs being added with no release for any of them in sight, just endless carrot-dangling. In their 2025 Year End Update, they're promising the Markham Street Circuit already, but based on the aforementioned tracks, I'd imagine it won't be released in a v1.0 state. There was one being worked on two years ago almost, that was released. Nothing since and the ones that should have released something (Authentic Simulation) haven’t put out a track in months (and the race weekend is over). Not sure how those contracts worked out but man does it suck to see it.

Yet couldn't fix the AO...
You're expecting too much from that guyYet couldn't fix the AO...![]()
You really expect him to know how to hide 3D models inside of CM showroom? Just look at the AO mapping on Benja16v's Citroen AX GTi F2/12 that he decrypted. He ****ed the AO mapping completely lol. He didn't bother hiding the extensions because he don't know how to.Yet couldn't fix the AO...![]()
Was a much better race than I expected it to be, the track allowed plenty of passing places. I believe we missed half the overtakes on the tv coverage though (Fox director still needs to be taught how to follow races properly). Considering all of Andretti's pitstop mistakes it was great to see Kirkwood hunt down and then get Palou. Now we see who has the stronger road course package at Barber.Who watched yesterday's Arlington Indycar race? Great racing and I'd say it's more interesting now than F1 battery world championship. Authentic Sim and HSS are one and the same, so not surprised the issues are the same. Surprised the work has stopped because Ben was working on them. I think the nature of how they operate is a bit shady and can cause issues between owner and modders. EDIT: just want to clarify that I respect the work of all the talented modders who are making said content, it's the management of their Patreon / lack of delivering on promises that is the frustrating bit.
Alright well looking at his website it's the most recently added car so I can't help but feel responsible now, he is in this thread after all.About that, take a guess who's got hands on that M3...
What are the chances that goes well enough that you decide to release your projects after that? 🥺That's what will be done with the Porsche![]()

They are separate entities as you say, but the owners are very similar, just one focuses on historic stuff and the other focuses modern stuff / commissioned stuff. In my eyes I see them as one and the same. You sign contracts to be on both and I'm pretty sure there's clauses in there to swop between the 2 as required. I'm also surprised the Authentic side has died down.Authentic Sim and HSS are not one and the same, even though Daniel owns HSS and is partner on Authentic. Yet they are two separate entities as far as I know. HSS has been badly sidelined in latest years while Authentic has gained all the momentum, so it's surprising to hear that they have stalled development on that front too. Well, don't have much visibility how it's going there, so can't say really.
Can you give link to that mod or at least where I can find it? Easier to look into it, than trying guess what wrong. No one will help with only one screenshot and no more info.Would apprciate any help with this, if anyone knows?
Thanks a lot, friend! I really appreciate your feedback. I've always struggled with adjusting shift animations, and if it feels good in VR, that's great news. This is the first mod I'm aware of (please correct me if there's another) that uses different push/pull animations for the up/down sequential shifting. This must be something different than setting up CPU core affinity's & priorities! My son does have an AMD 7700X and I know this beast is running circles around my ancient i9-9900KS even mine is a binned version. I even run VR without any 99% CPU warning.
