Personally I'd PG the track surfaces and a few reference points, then do a much lower resolution pass for the environs. Set your zero at a visible point on the S/F line or similar. With that said I'm pretty sure photogrammetry isn't the answer here. You'd be as well using the DEFRA lidar set for a layout and work from there.

Oh i fully understand that its not going to be perfect, it's worth a try though, at least to get reference materials etc, there's obviously no Lidar data for the Gran Turismo fictional circuits.

Yeah, fair enough, somehow I'd missed that they were entirely digital landscapes rather than popular real-world tracks from games. I'm on painkillers and I'm blaming that

In that case I'd still do two passes, one in a higher resolution for the track ribbon and immediate surround, another in much lower resolution for the far environs. Use the same zero for each model and you shouldn't have too much trouble merging them. Personally I'd use 3DS Max for this, Blender can get itself a bit knitted with very large models.

So i changed the Springrate and the wheels went haywire the height of the car was really decreased. Its like the car gained some sort of camber.
I have no clue what's causing this help would be appreciated.

You more than halved the spring rate, so the car compresses those spring twice as much! You need to recover your default ride height with ROD_LENGTH

Aren't you effectively softening the springs thereby letting the sprung mass (the body et al) push down further? If that happens then the wheels will also show more camber due to the suspension geometry.

This is for the actual race driver Grid le mans. Not real life lmao so some of the cars from that race wouldn't be in like the zytek. That's literally all the LMP1s that were in the game.

I was looking around for a Rainfx file for Fuji 1968, but I haven't found one. I even when so far as to try pasting in other Rainfx text, but no luck, haha.

I'm wondering if you either DO have one made, or could produce one? I know it's an older track (apparently the original modder WilliamTRiker is working on a new version).

I'd like to second the entirety of this. Love the work on here. Love WilliamTRiker's track, would love to see a rain config for it. I've tried but I just can't get my head round it.

@DaBaeda You should change your avatar to something like the image below. Maybe something in color, and with "DB" or "DaBaeda" somewhere. Maybe I could create something for you if you like.

Also, it's great that you're naming your download files--just add something like "_DB-CAMS" to the end of them. Otherwise, they look like a full track mod download. For example: goodwood_circuit_DB-CAMS.zip. Also, when I drag them to my backup archive directory, they won't conflict or ask to overwrite the actual track mod archives.

Just a tip to help you and everyone else out. Otherwise, excellent work and contribution to the community.

Brilliant. Goodwood needed some great cams. Thanks for doing the British tracks.
I have an idea for Le Mans if you ever get time. 2 sets of close to track action cams. 1st set cams from out
side of track then next from inside. The 2nd set the opposite way round. You would then see all corners from both sides with the same for the straights. Your work is amazing.

This is caused by the smoothed road mesh kn5. I will try to adjust it lower ( when I tried this before pieces of the bumpy mesh pushed through )

options:
1. lower the mesh
2. lower the mesh and remove 1ROAD_ naming from the old surface
3. simply texture the new mesh and RENDER=TRUE

Thanks for the cams, this track is now 100% "Guy-Ills75" free

floating cars is due to the smoothed track mesh.
Will see if I can fix it. Previously I lowered it, but the old mesh poked through causing bumps.
Proably fixing it by:

1. lower the mesh
2. lower the mesh AND rename the old surfaces not 1ROAD_
3. texture the new mesh and set RENDER=TRUE

1. I have patched my 3dSimed with 4GB patch, can you try on your system? ( I can load way more things after doing this)
2. run the 700mb.obj through an FBX type of converter thing

Finished the Gulf skin for the URD Detroit (Ford GT MkII)
This one has come out looking really good (imo anyway - your view may be different of course) but you just can't go wrong with a Gulf livery.
Grab it from RD or shout if you want it and are banned from RD for whatever reason and I can upload it somewhere else for you.

Yes they are not great in cornering compared to today's cars. Straight line they are fast as hell. My 65 Impala is basically stock,summer driver. Turns heads and my grandaughter waves at people going down the street.My son and myself are currently working on a 71 Chevelle that will basically be a Corvette with a Chevelle body on it. Another year should be done. Covid puts a damper on parts and stuff.

There are some gems here, but in need of some tweaking. The 250LM has great engine detail but no wiper, the Tuscan (yay!) seems to have no lights, etc.
