Thanks for reporting this issue, I updated the model to use the mod's glass.dds texture for the internal windows. I don't see any weird shadows on the windscreen but there is some flickering on the wiper texture depending on the position of the sun (e.g. at the barbagallo hotlap start in the morning) which was also present in the original mod so at least my update didn't introduce any new issues. DL link for the complete mod is in the original post:

That's totally fine and now that you brought up the topic I will definitely be watching out for the track release because I do see myself using the track for testing purposes and the kids will surely like it as well.
The weird windscreen shadows appear with the original OTT dirt/dust texture when driving into low sun, but you need windscreen shadows active in CSP as well I think.

Thanks, much better than before. But, if I may:

1) Is it possible to do something about the horrid gaps? Between doors and body and even on the wheel arches and cockpit... you can see right through the wheel inner fenders into the cockpit.
2) Strange positioning of the rear wheels. Are they really positioned like that? Seem odd compared to the Kunos car (the 25th Anniversary is basically a slightly reshaped 5000QV).
3) Is the scale right? It looks shorter, narrower and thinner than the original Kuno's Countach. It's also noticeable due to the standard AC plate looking too big for this car.

All in all, it looks and drives nice. If the aforementioned aspects were to be corrected, it would become an almost Kunos-standard car.

Cheers!

Will take these into consideration. Thanks!

And a little look at the engine sound

Its an edited GT Sport model. Parts of the bodywork(rear boot, skirts, bumpers, rims and some dials) will be redone because they do not look good enough. A standard carrera and GT3 model will be done and maybe GT3 RS version.
Peter Crill has ported the 996 GT3 from GTS already but a bang average 996 carrera would be more than appreciated :)

Hmm haven't played in a while while transitioning PC and GT7. I got most of my mods back up and running but when I pressed F5 camera I can rotate and spin with the car in the middle but the camera can't move anymore? I remember being able to use WASD moving the camera around and tilt and stuff. Is there something I need to enable in the CM menu somewhere?

Is the orbit mode, toggle that off and you should be able to move around on F5 mode.

Hello VheEth,

Thank you for this version of the Hockenheimring circuit, it's a great version of it :)

Unfortunately, I only noticed one small problem with it, concerning the barriers.

With the railing barriers it can happen that if you drive against them you can get stuck in them and you don't slide along the railing when you come against it, but you are immediately turned around as if you were driving head-on against a wall and that at every point.

How can you fix these barriers so that you can no longer get stuck in them and so that these barriers are not recognised as edges?

I have also uploaded a picture of the barriers that I mean, so that you can imagine which ones I mean :)

Many thanks for the help :)

With kind regards
Stefan

I appreciate the rules about not linking to paid content, and I have no connection to abulzz except being on his patreon, but I thought people here might be interested in the following, announced today. His Targa is already a nice track; if this works it should be amazing!

"First of all, the important announcement: Our friend Beni is currently on his way to Sicily right this moment. He's gonna be there from 12th to 17th to gather even more data around the Targa Florio. And that includes scanning the entire track. That's right gents, we are scanning Targa Florio. We've been preparing for this for quite some time. Now that the situation ease a bit, we're finally able to do this. Hats off to Beni who've been relentlessly putting massive efforts toward this. You're already a Legend! :D Although it won't be the standard laser scan used by professional companies, but the result he was able to achieve is no joke. Here's a sample of that:"

Targa florio scan.jpg

He goes on to say: "And so, if you guys probably living around Palermo, and you want to help or just wanting to meet up and say hi, come on over and hook us up on discord. Especially if you have a drone that is capable of doing photogrammetry, that would be awesome! Although to be honest, we don't know about the license needed if we want to fly drones in that region."

The new beta has improved quite a few aspects and it is clear they are doing a lot of research into track surface appearance and so on.

Sounds like a really interesting project. From experience, I've driven a large part of the track - and some of it was undrivable and I had to turn back. Drones would certainly be useful.
