Did the outer oval for Salem speedway, and sorted the best I could how the surface looked, not sure if its as bumpy in real life as this, like up and down, but its quite fun in the right car.
I'll add some more grid slots I think to both the inner and outer at some point and maybe look at sorting out better adverts round the track.

To be clear again, I am taking ovals and places which have been turned into drift areas and repurposing them back to how they would be as racing ovals....Nothing will overwrite the originals and they are just there if someone wants that sort of racing.
Effectivley you could have all variations and someone cleverer than me could put them into one folder i guess.

Also made this freedom factory drift track work as an oval now. Really good fun as again has loads of ups and downs for an oval.
Grid slots still need tweaking and again few bits I'd like to update but as it to me was such fun I thought I'd get it out there anyway.

The model is E46 GTR so it is a V8. The car will be released with our 2006 ALMS season mod, that is with other GT2, GT1, LMP2 and LMP1 etc.

Probably these meshes have not been optimized due to the fact that noone expected to be used. Most likely they need remeshing in order to be used properly

Yeah i guess, It isn't too bad though, the bumps sync with the track elevations. Its not like bad juddering which I've come across on some rfactor rips, it feels natural to how you are on the track. Its whether in real life salem is like that, i don't know.

You might be a good person to ask this next question to.
There is an oval track hidden on button willow track which i've got working as a track, but there is no road surface and surface is straight from google earth i imagine. (same with Birmingham wheels oval)
a) surface looks better than any surface in AC, as in real, photographic.
and b) it feels great too, although has no fake road surface or surfaces ini.

So question is, why do we have these road surfaces over the top of the tracks?
You see in 3dsim that there is photographic image with road surface pasted on top?

I would really love to run an '89 F1 season in AC, bucket list kinda thing

I got the 89 Benetton B189 and Williams FW12C in CM, but I get multiple, multiple errors when trying to simply drive a car in a practice lap.

I am a bit out of my depth here.
Any help would be appreciated, simply for personal use, just to be clear.

@Peter Boese Do you still see too much yellow green in this pic? I reworked the skin a little, but mostly changes to the seasonal material adjustments in the config. On my system I can't go much bluer than this or the trees start to look blue, not green. The grass I still have some room to adjust, but I like where it's at here. Thanks for feedback.

It is a shame, and there is discussion about trying to get it finished. It's been driveable since January and just needs a final push really.

Would love to share it if I had it.
The more people know about this, the bigger the chance for a leak.
I talked to a few people who has it, but noone is willing to share and ofcourse it's encrypted.

No one asked for it, but i would like to try to do something (with my ZERO knowledge of 3D) and this is what came out for the moment (i put together also a full new ext_config reusing most of the work of @slider666 before deciding that re-do from scratch the windows and the semaphore would be a easier way than try hundreds of config values to make them work as i wanted).

Is not a priority, so i don't know if/when i will have time to work on it again (before other projects needs my attention and my free time, which as you know, is very limited to the weekend), but i think it was worthing a share and grab some feedback (even on minimal things like this)

EDIT: removed the 2D textures logo and replaced with a 3D sign that can be illuminated at night (just needs to define the font used by the HUNGARORING and the color used)

No need to be sad, and I think your imagination might be running a little wild. There's no drama, no rifts, just slow progress as people do other stuff. Think solo projects before the band reforms for the next album.

Yeah i get that, but in some cases these drive really well but don't have a track on top or surface ini, the oval on button willow for example looks and feels better than many actual oval rips.
Example, no track overlay. Looks great.
Its sat there hidden away on button willow by drm.

I know the extra folder. yeah I got the same problem. The cadillac northstar lmp worked but when I tried courage and the bmw, When I try to enter the track the loading screen just stops all together.

Well we been seeing two tracks ported GT Sport. Mainly Dragon Trail & SSRX so expect the same modder to port this as well.
