Awesome, specially Laguna Seca.RELEASE of...
I already asked you in RD, but but since I can't find a solution, I comment here, in case it happens to someone else. I am the only one whose tire walls have disappeared with this new (and fantastic, on the other hand) 1.1 version?Niagara Falls v1.1...
Awesome too.Newbury 2002 and 2006 from SandroX updated DaBaeda...
Another little gem, but aside the little glitch of the left rear window...Release: Updated Opel GT 1900...
... with this data replacement, when the AI cars start bunching up, they can't shift gears; they all get stuck in second gear and don't go over 75km/h... Any idea?Opel-GT 1900 - Data Replacement...
I quote myself to comment that I have been doing some research through dark corners of the web and I think I have solved the problem by tinkering with the ai.ini file in the data folder, lowering the rpm (I guess?) at which the AI changes gears, which have ended up like this:... with this data replacement, when the AI cars start bunching up, they can't shift gears; they all get stuck in second gear and don't go over 75km/h... Any idea?
It might be possible to remove them from the 3dmodel.
Kiitos brother, Sadly I'm not JJ, just a fan of his, had the privilege to meet him years back. Nice knowing you got a chance to work with him. Also, Don't think I ever used 3dmodel.It might be possible to remove them from the 3dmodel.
Tervetuloa GTPlanet JJ
(we met once at a CK promo event in Helsinki, I helped you get up to speed in a simulator back in 2011 or so)
Would be a bummer if he did come here and see that someone has used his name...Kiitos brother, Sadly I'm not JJ, just a fan of his, had the privilege to meet him years back. Nice knowing you got a chance to work with him. Also, Don't think I ever used 3dmodel.
Wasn't meant to steal as I just openly said I'm not JJ, just admired his racing. But if that's an issue I can get the premium and change it.Would be a bummer if he did come here and see that someone has used his name...
Did see a few, But their pretty crappy TBH. Physics were horrible.
Yeah man change it. Try and use a name more original, besides it wouldn't make people mistake you for him.Wasn't meant to steal as I just openly said I'm not JJ, just admired his racing. But if that's an issue I can get the premium and change it.
Bumping since I've finished the initial lists now.Amazing work!
Side note (kind of relevant, considering new Laguna Seca '60s)
I did make a list in the past of every iteration of layouts for F1 circuits (and whether they exist for AC/what's different/etc). Today I've started work on doing similar lists for:
WSC/WEC/ILMS
IndyCar/ChampCar/CART/USAC
ATCC/V8SC (including non-championship races)
ANZ Open Wheel (Tasman Series, FROC/Toyota Racing Series, S5000/Australian Drivers Championship)
IMSA GT + Equivalents
EDIT: Firstly I'm just making the lists (and then adding the AC research bits)
- F1: 161 (including new Las Vegas)
- WEC/WSC/ILMS: 108 (including Losail currently on for 2024 onwards)
- ATCC: 54 (including non-championship circuits such as Wellington + Kuala Lumpur street circuits, F1 version of Adelaide, etc)
- Australian/New Zealand Premier Open Wheel: 61 (Tasman Series + Australian Drivers Championship + FROC/TRS + S5000 + Australian F3 2015-2019 and non-championship races of all those series from 1957 onwards)
- IndyCar Road/Street Courses: 84
- IndyCar Ovals: 42
- IMSA GTP: 101

Final note: I've spend way over 100 hours to create this car with my basic knowledge in Blender, but I completely suck in creating driver animations. Tried with the original file of Kunos and with the rigged driver too, nothing really worked. So if anyone (who is not ACTK/Easy) is in the mood to create proper driver animations, feel free to private message me.
Really final note: Problem with the rear wiper was fixed after the recording of this video.

Thanks for the driver, will check it out tomorrow. And the wheel too. Here's what I mean about the steering wheel artefacts
With the success in Daytona backing them up, team Heico came to Le Mans. Sadly this year they were not able to finish the race.Chassis 6066
Customer: Mr. Heidenreich, Germany
Delivery: 11. May 1993
Color: Speed Yellow
Present whereabouts: unknown
Today I show you a car which most people remember for its success in the 1994 Daytona 24h. The car was used under the banner of "HEICO Dienstleistungen" or later under the name "HEICO Motorsports"
The activities of HEICO Motorsport have been part of the HEICO Group. The origin of the group of companies goes back to 1966, when the Heidenreich family founded the room and office care institute Heidenreich & Co. in Wiesbaden Hochheim and operated it for over twenty years. In 1987, the management was taken over by Dirk-R. Ebeling. At that time, new business areas were opened up. In the years that followed, HEICO developed into a mixed service group. In 1990, the company was renamed from Heidenreich & Co. to HEICO. (source:https://www.wikiwand.com/de/HEICO_Group)
HEICO Motorsport was founded in in 1986 and was initially focused on historic motorsport. In the early 90s the team started to do service for modern racing cars (mainly BMW and Porsche). In this period Mr Heidenreich bought the RSR chassis 6066. The driver lineup included mostly no professional race drivers but successful business men and racing amateurs.
The first adventure of the team was the Le Mans race in 1993. The car was delivered in time for the Le Mans test which took place the 16. May 1993, 5 days after the delivery of the car. A good explanation for the naked design....

The first race event followed soon after. The most experienced driver in the lineup was Ulli Richter. Karl-Heinz Wlazik had tested his skills in the Spa 24h race before and Dirk Ebeling started his adventure with the Le Mans test. They did a great job finishing 3rd in class and 17th overall.

The team must have had a soft spot for endurance racing as the next race they took part in was the Pokka 1000 km race on the Suzuka circuit. This time Jürgen Barth joined Dirk Ebeling and Karl-Heinz Wlazik. Suzuka sadly ended with a DNF result.
Jürgen Barth is not only one of Porsche best remembered drivers, he also saved the sports car racing branch of motorsports from an almost certain end. When the prototype scene was at its lowest point after the end of the Group C era, Barth, in his function as Porsche customer sport director, had the idea to revitalise GT racing. Together with Stéphane Ratel and Patrick Peter, he created the BPR series in 1994.

The beautiful car was next seen for the 1994 Daytona 24H race. This time Richter, Wlazik and Ebeling were joined by Gunter Döbler. Döbler fitted perfectly in the lineup of gentleman drivers. His first international event was the Le Mans 24h race from 1993 and the Daytona race in 1994 was his second international race.
Nobody had the team on the list for a top result and especially not for a podium, but they did not only finish on the podium, they went for the class win in GTU class. This race was a game changer for HEICO Motorsports. In the same year Volvo contacted them and asked if they would like to run their official European motor sport program from 1995 onwords. The success of the team with Volvo and later Mercedes went on until 2012, when HEICO decided to end the motor sport activities...
So here comes the 1994 Le Mans GTU class winner...
