Hello, it's not your fault, but the German beer brand is called “HASSERÖDER”. It uses the “broken Gothic” font from the 1930s, which makes S look like L.

Here's a work-in-progress livery that's coming along just fine, but those side-stripes are killing me to get them aligned properly (the right arm/elbow and wrist that is)...

@JK1977 - appreciate the update pics posted earlier (exhaust, etc), just keep on working (when possible) on this mod as it deserves all the attention it can master.

It's even more challenging when you're running out screen-property and cannot see everything at once (with many ALT-TABs in use).

The other two mods (in any case) are being used as reference.

It's almost 1am here in Oz, better get some Zzzz and continue sometime on Sat/Sun.

Great job as always guys . The car looks and feels great . The only thing i would say is that the engine sound is a bit off . In 2000 the northstar V8 had much more of an old school pushrod V8 sound . The 2001 and 2002 cars sounded much closer to the Audi R8 . I'll leave some videos for you to check out ,

anyone here knows what a .dds~ file is ?

I was going over some of the largest car mod folders (and compressing DDS files in them) when I found one that has these really large .dds~ files:

Couldn't find anything online on this filetype .dds~ ...

Are these used in any way for the mod?
Can they safely be deleted these .dds~ files? (in total I have for approx 2.4 GB of them in my car folder.)

Sevilla Circuit (WIP) for Assetto Corsa

A track that's being built few km away from my hometown and with the inauguration set for next month. It will be the third longest track in Spain behind Motorland Aragon and Montmelo. 35 boxes, with a main straight of 822m (~300m more than Jerez) and 12m of track width. From the same creators of Circuito de Almeria which had held a private test of W Series few years ago.

Based on 2020-2021 LiDAR data (before the construction began). This is my first permanent track, after the street circuit of Detroit (and Nashville but never got released).

This video is from early alpha version of the track i've made these days. I got the wrong scale and it was more shorter than what it is so I had to do the track from 0 yesterday (the Blender pics are the most latest one)

some of you might remember my posts concerning the history of all 964 Carrera RSR chassis represented by their skins race by race. The skins have not been released since then and are done for the 964 Carrera RSR made by zOffty, Javs and me. We all took nearly a whole year off the project, as real life needed our attention.

Good news, the project is still alive. The 964 RSR will be a car with a lot of configurable extensions, which allow us to represent all the variants which raced since 1993 in IMSA, BPR, ADAC GT Cup, Italian GT Cup, LM24 etc.

Just to name a few option:

Wheels: Speedline, Speedline Center Lock, BBS
Rear wing: Standard, Standard + extension wing
Front splitter: stock and alternative variant
Side windows: glass, lexan
Rear window: glass, lexan with metal support
Front lights: open, with cover
Endurance lights: on, off
Mirrors: standard, small mirrors
Steering wheel: Porsche stock, Momo wheel + Momo hub

I am very exited for the project to continue (this means also for the BPR project, that the pause is over).

The shots below show the new optional splitter, the rear wing with extension and the lexan side window on the driver side as well as the endurance lights. The rear shot shows the metal support on the rear window.

I hope you guys are looking forward to the car as much as I do.

one could assume it is a backup (and likely was recompressed to the .dds you see)

You should know that there are certain German Länders in which the law strongly penalizes the sacrilegious act of placing Audi skins on mundane Opels... 😬

They could be a temp .dds created while saving the final one which for some reasons have not been saved in a proper way. BTW did you edited in some way that particular textures with some app or similar? 2.4gb for a .dds is quite huge dimension to be honest.

(as you see in the screenshot that 1 file is approx 22 MB)

I would like to know for sure that these are 100% not used by any mod before I go and do a mass delete of these files..

As said, i'm pretty sure is a not-properly-saved .dds file leaved for mistake in the folder. Can you DM me the source of that particular car so i can see (if is possible to find and download it) have the same issue on my side too? Anyway, i'm pretty sure about what i said above

here a copy of that mod, you can find the weird dds~ file in skin "01" ...

Published a Python script that makes it easy to create a track file for RaceTrackBuilder, directly from lidar data: https://acrallycentral.com/lidar-data-tools-for-rtb/
You have to create a .gpx file of your track & download the lidar data, the script does the rest.
The result is a .csv file with coordinate points at (default) 2m interval with precise elevation data, ready for importing in RTB.

Now it shouldn't be too hard to create an RTB height plugin (substituting Google Earth data) using the same elements.
Except I'm crap at C# and can't figure out how to use the required libraries 😝
So if anyone with C# skills is interested, do get in touch

They are a bit steeply priced, but they're not encrypted or anything, and are usually quite good. His 1989 BTCC Golf is cool, and rumour has it that he'll be doing the group A Volvo 240 Turbo next.

They are a bit steeply priced, but they're not encrypted or anything, and are usually quite good. His 1989 BTCC Golf is cool, and rumour has it that he'll be doing the group A Volvo 240 Turbo next.

Only thing i dislike about ALL of the DTM he put out are the "injection mold marks" (?) he put on EVERY ONE OF THEM!!

On the first one I have black and transparent areas and on the second one I always have a winter season with snow, but I don't have any skin activated. I've already tried to delete and copy again. Thanks in advance

For winter issue, simply you have setup wrong the seasonal adjustment in CM (is a common issue that hundreds of users had).
On bahrain no idea, probably you have a wrong/bad updated config or something that have compromised the package causing that issue.

Cool thing BUT at least in my case his cars become useless as soon i moved to a direct drive wheel. The physics/ffb are just broken. It seems he addapts the physics to older wheels. Earlier with a T300 everything was ok. It´s the one and only case where a DD wheel works that weird
