A little track skin\config mod for the ks_nurburgring track. If you feel like trying it, make a backup of your track's extension folder first. This will overwrite your existing ext_config file.

ks_nurburgring_mod

The mod changes the tree textures and darkens the grass a bit. The skins are split into separate folders so you can pick and choose which parts you want to use. If you like all of them, feel free to lump them all into one folder. As usual, there is an optional vaos folder to eliminate some of the really dark areas under the trees. Although I found the default csp vao for this track is not as bad as on other tracks.

I have an updated version of my ks_nordschleife mod to match the trees and grass on this mod.. If you like how this looks, be on the lookout for it soon. I just need to double check some things.
Do you have a place where all you mods are kept? I feel I may have missed some and searching thru GTP is doing my head in...:)

On another note, i'm sure this has been done already but I can't find it so i'm making my own version. I decided to add live displays to the TV trucks on ks_nurburgring and i'll eventually add car numbers and lap count to the Goodyear board and the other timing board on the track. This one is going to be tough to release though. On the older version of CSP i use, they look fine. On newer CSP versions, they are dark and need a different set of shader values. I'm probably going to have to release separate versions unless I can use the $" read('csp/version', 0) > 1819 command to assign different values based on the users CSP version.

Does anyone knows on which track the 1923 Tours track by HSS (Historic Sim Studios) is based on? Upon a report from a friend i noticed that inside their v0.93 release there's a config made by me (which i don't remember i ever done and which i don't have in my archive). So, since i never collab with them (as far as i know) i would love to know from which of my config they grabbed that one.

DISCLAIMER: i'm not angry due to the fact they release something from me behind a paywall, but i'm curious to know from which track they took it...

I'm looking into revamping the textures on the Kyalami 1967 track mod by actrackrebootproject but this error message comes up when I try to override the textures.

Open models.ini and put a comment ";" before FILE=marshall.kn5.
There isn't a marshall.kn5 file in the archive. I think it's a left over from a previous version

Pretty sure (most of?) their tracks are done by Tyrone / Nukedrop - if you’ve done other tracks of his that could be the background?
 
I did almost everytrack he released for free, so it could be. Since i don't have that track (Tours i mean) i can't check if that config is working fine or not, but i don't care since is not a problem, just a curiosity that i have :)

Given all the confusion surrounding it, I expected a lot worse. It's actually a nice track for something like the Mini. Only issue is that it keeps loading the Winter skin when I have seasonal adjustments disabled.

I think it was made by some guy on Racedeparment. HSS bought the track from him and the original one was deleted.

You can disable the seasonal stuff in the ext_config.ini (delete everything related to it off that file or comment it out).
 
Does anyone have or know of a link to the Kunos Maserati MC12's 2010 FIA GT1 skins?

I have the Hegersport cars but not the main Vitaphone team.

Did you perhaps remember the track name? At this point i'm pretty sure that i've worked on it, but i don't remember the track name (they changed for sure)

Nancy-Seichamps 1930s by F1PiloteJV. This one i think it was. I found a old conversation on RD.

Unfortunately, the track doesn't load with CSP 1.80p9, which at least @racinjoe013 and I still use.

IIRC they bought a group couple of years ago, that was working on the track originally. It was called a GP Experience or something similar. Then they developed it a bit further and it is what it is now. It was originally built by RTB, so it was pretty rough, but scratch made.

I was just about to say this :) I was away a few days, and I had just received word that it dropped publicly.

For the backers, we did have a couple betas that we were able to give some feedback. So there was a few things going on behind the scenes where it did seem like nothing was going on.

I know it ended up being a weird situation. I know there were a lot of people that thought things were fishy. I'm happy that every one fulfilled their end and it ended up being a happy ending.

Again, not sure if anyone on here contributed, but thank you! It made a lot of racers in the Midwest U.S. happy to be able to do some virtual testing at a local track.

Seems to be nicely done but I don't think it's a track I'll get much use out of. Too small and narrow for my personal tastes, almost like a kart track. Good to be able to finally test it though, I just never realised the venue was so compact.
