Nope, it's not just a VR issue, it displays the same in pancake mode too.

I thought it might be an issue with digital_instruments.ini but I can't even try troubleshooting it for you because... encryption.
Yeah, Sorry about that. Unfortunelty i don't have access to any encryption tools that just lets me encrypt the 3D model & not the the data folder and stuff. If i knew someone who had an one that is trustful i'd switch to that instantly, Sadly no knowledge of one other than the one RSS uses, Which i doubt they'd ever let me access.

Roll back to 1.79 and you'll get a lot of detail back. Run the previews and then update back up to the present. It's the only way I could retain details like reflections etc.
Just tried your suggestion. 1.79 does not have CSP Preview option. Please advise if I missed something.

Here you go. I included the original version of any file I changed. After you extract these files, go into the extension folder and rename the camera and display folders to something like camera1 and display1. The name is not important as long as you rename them to something else.

Be aware that i'm am not a car mod guy so i'm sure I messed up something else on the car. So far I haven't noticed but i'm sure there has to be something. If any of the displays don't have text or numbers, it probably means you don't have a font I used. Also, if the middle display does not show a reverse camera view, you will need to configure it in the mirrors app.
tested and is really good:)
thank you

Is encryption even worth bothering with any more? Word on the street is the kids now all have the necessary tools to decrypt AC cars and do whatever they want with them, so all encryption seems to be doing these days is locking bad decisions or mistakes behind flimsy temporary barriers.

Encryption is useless. It just makes it a little harder to get the end result, because we have to rip with ninjaripper, import in blender. Rename all object to their real name in cmshowroom and same for the materials. Copy shader materials and make it fit to the physics. And you loose any applied 3D bones and animation, on the model, but the model is there. estimated time : 3 hours to extract an encrypted car.

I wanted the vrc F2007 and the rss F10, and I got them like that. Even though they are encrypted. If someone wants your model, they will get it without much issues aside time consumed

I believe it might be much quicker and easier than that now, based on the huge number of decrypted mods that suddenly seem to be popping up all over FB modding groups.

There is. Paranoid has no limits today.
WHAT?

Are you telling me people spent time working on creating an encryption method for TEXTURES, AKA something loaded in GPU MEMORY nonetheless and easily accessible? It takes a single minute for anyone to dump the GPU memory and get the skins that was loaded, heck even 30 second.

and while ripping a car needs skills in ripping, ripping a texture requires pressing a button.

Is there no one sane person out there that would tell the guy that this was just a useless idea because encrypting a texture is litterally just doing this?

you may try 2.20 but there is no need for rolling back, all the previews are good with latest csp previews. Just a matter of the correct settings.
Unfortunately, it depends a lot on the time invested in the correct settings.

I’m happy to mess around with the settings if the Custom Preview window looks the same as the CSP Custom Preview actual. But they do not. I have only a handful of cars (of my 900+ cars) that I’m forced to use CSP Custom Preview.

next ideas to encrypt

steer.ksanim

Soundbank

ext_config.ini
Soundbank encryption is actually already a thing.

I forgot exactly which car or sound mod it was, but I remember trying to inspect one recently and it threw immediate extraction errors. It wouldn't even let me preview the engine audio in the CM Showroom. The 'joke' is basically reality at this point.

That, unfortunately won´t happen I am afraid.

Thanks! I am the creator aka "F40 LM Lover".
I hope Glad you enjoying it!
Thanks for creating, this is a real good mod for VR use. Why are other car modders not use dynamic movements from the pedals and even the beam-switches on the steering column.
One problem the carbon structure at the side door panels are giving me in VR mode the flashing Moire effect. Not much and it is just an minor. It's so much better than all those car mods lacking interior 3D depth or have shimmer/jagging on every metal trim edges.

A new adaptation....this time the Ferrari 512BB/78 (24 Hours of Le Mans 1978), one of the skins (Charles Pozzi) already existed in the original model (288)...I had to adapt the car (number 88) from Ecurie Francorchamps and Luigi Chinetti Sr.

Actually, they all have a particularity, but I only adapted one basic model...In the videos you can see the AI cars (Porsche 936/78 and Mirage M9-Renault) which will later be tested on the track.

Hi Mr, I would like to use your '73 Ferrari 312pb mod (the pack with 4 versions): trying it I found it difficult to drive, a bit unstable and very understeering...😢

@Young78 If another update is done, it'd be great if the rear-view mirror was angled towards the driver like in a real car. I always appreciate this tiny detail whenever its done.
I remember one mod car that had a really nice LHD-RHD cockpit conversion, but the modder forgot about the rear-view mirror which was still angled towards what was now the passenger seat and therefore pretty much unusable.

but that's not a skin? Encrypted skins means you cannot open the .dds with any .dds viewer
Ah, okay. Not the same as if you try to open dds and it looks empty, and when you save it, the car looks like this. I was confused.

At least it's me being paranoid and not the skinners this time 😁
