Where did you get the Nissan from?
The Club Argentino de Pilotos (CAP) was one of the most innovative and exciting racing categories in Argentine motorsport during the 1980s. Founded in 1982, it brought together some of the country's top drivers behind the wheel of nearly identical cars, first the Datsun 280 ZX and later the Nissan 300 ZX. With close competition, strong media coverage, and speeds exceeding 200 km/h, the CAP became a unique chapter in Argentina's racing history and remains fondly remembered by motorsport enthusiasts today.

Hey everyone,

Long-time lurker, first-time poster here. I wanted to share a simple sound mod I made that gives this Chevrolet Camaro the familiar V8 idle it’s known for. The sound was recorded from a real Camaro fitted with a Borla exhaust.

The soundmod is for "pb_camaro_2010_tuned" but you can use it on the camaro of your choice. NOTE: I only created the idle sound.
Feedback is absolutely welcome. I really hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

Glad to finally post here.

Hi, I stumbled upon this video: a very interesting mod of a really cool track. I only found a download, but it's a very basic version that doesn't work. Do you know if this mod exists? Or even a working beta.

I know I'm being a bit of a pain, "gede" is what we call it here in Argentina, but do you have a tutorial on how to add people to the circuits in the stands or on the side of the tracks?

Maybe those lights were made much brighter in the cars config to force more glare. Now with the fixed sun speculars the glare was changed in the standard pure ppfilter.

Could be that those lights are too strong anyway in comparison to world lights. But there must be a decent difference to much brighter world lights.

Would be interesting to see the difference of standard Kunos cars configs and the configs where this problem appears…
Standard Kunos car - Brand new install - Latest Pure and CSP

Is anyone else getting this same problem with Emmisive Lights using OpenVR???

well... I thought I was going nuts but my Spa (converted from GTR2) has an issue nearly exactly like this.
It "appears" to be CSP related but I cant pin it down, but if I change the road shader to ksPerPixel it goes away.
This is the only place where it happens and nearly exactly from the same viewpoint as your screen.

It's really killing my progress in getting v2 to a release state. Any and all help wanted and needed.

Hi RMi_wood
Sorry to bump an old post but did this issue ever get resolved ?
I been on a late 90's early 2000's F1 binge lately and noticed this is still occuring
Thanks for your awesome track mod but this issue is quite distracting
Yours is the best track mod with the old bus stop section and i really hope it can get resloved
Thanks in advance

Hello,

I've also been thinking about this phenomenon a bit. I don't think it's a bug - it's a feature.

It's probably the “Fata Morgana” or "Mirage" effect in the weather system. Except for “SimplePPoff” it's included in every weather style. Unfortunately, there doesn't seem to be a checkbox or an entry in an ini file to turn it on or off.

I’ve commented out the corresponding function in Pure’s Lua scripts for myself, but the downside is that the change could be overwritten with the next update.

If you're up for it:
The function is located in the “pure_track.lua” file. There are two versions of this file, one for Gamma and one for LCS:

assettocorsa/extension/weather/pure/pure_track.lua
assettocorsa/extension/weather/Pure LCS/pure/pure_track.lua

Make a backup of the file in question before making any changes.

The relevant function is located at the end of the file:

You need to comment out three lines by adding a double hyphen in front of them, as shown in the last image.

Maybe Peter Boese has a better solution or sees a way to make this feature optional in one of the upcoming updates. Thanks.

Thanks, I'll try that.
I presume it's a CSP issue as I don't expect Pure to know if it is a flat monitor or a VR headset that is connected but the outputs are so radically different.
It is just related to glare settings and those are different for VR or screen mode. I will review them for the next release. But if you reduce the photorealistic slider they should become much clearer.
