Guys, I need some help with both tracks, especially with the AI. I'm leaving both of them here in case anyone wants to give it a shot.

Making clean, fast AI lines really isn't my thing. I can barely drive properly in real life, and it definitely shows! 😂 Luckily for everyone else, you could say.

Jokes aside, here they are. I hope you enjoy them!

As for the kart track, I'm sharing it with permission from a good friend. He actually paid to have it made, but it was delivered unfinished—it didn't even have working timing and scoring.

Kartodromo Gualeguachu

Edit: Update 0.8

Does anyone have a good AI line for Mosport whereas specifically the LMP2 cars will stay off the curbs at Moss corner turn 5 and turn 8 at the top of the Andretti straight, where they just get airborne constantly?

And for the creator of the Marbles mod, @AlexMail, its certainly a very welcome addition to the sim, something I found was that if you pause the game to step away or pause a replay, the marbles will continue to pile up around the player car while the game is paused. Not sure if its a big deal or if its something worth looking into further?

Anyone else notice the heat distortion from extraFX seem to stop working for them recently? Or is it just a me problem? Had to turn it off for a race a couple weeks back and when I went to turn it back on it didn't seem to work.

Working fine on my side, latest everthing. 🤷‍♂️

Thanks, i'm investigating, actually it should be off with this settings, but i see it doesn't. So if i find something it is fixed in the next release of Pure.

EDIT:
Found it, will release a hotfix soon. Seems CSP does not control it anymore internally. But it is fixed now for Gamma and LCS...
CONFIRMED FIXED!!!

Thank you for finially digging out this bug after so long!!

I do have a very nice 1920’s track but that is so bad optimized that, caused by massive frametime peaks, it’s become unplayable in VR. Is here a member who can check what is causing this and how to solve.
I will do the further communication by pm.

GabenHood has just published one of his interesting experiments... although it seems it will be the last one he does publicly... 😢

Aw naw how will I cope without his unoptimized tracks that eat away my ram like Chromes does, I really wanted more track mods likes Pikes Peak and its 55 FPS :( :( :(

His talk about rf modding is funny cuz modders back then were trying to optimize their **** lmao.

As we say 'l'hôpital qui se fout de la charité'.

I think there's a problem with the tires or temperatures; as soon as the slightest thing causes the rear wheels to produce smoke or dust (like skidding or driving on the run-off areas), the tires continue to produce excessive smoke even at slow speeds.

In this image, the car is cruising smoothly at about 30 km/h after passing over the grass, and is emitting more smoke than Winston Churchill's pipe, as if it were drifting, but that's not the case...

Thanks, as always!
I noticed this smoking issue as well, but I think just during replays. My bigger concern is that the tires never seem to come up to temperature. The mod itself feels and sounds great, however.

Here we say "las opiniones son como los culos, cada uno tenemos la nuestra"... We all know how this whole modding soapbox and its opinions, arguments, etcetera go... but since I'm not a modder, I try (more or less) not to get involved in these controversies, enjoy the game, thank those who share their work, and at most, offer some feedback, within my limited knowledge... Love and Peace, Bros...

By the way, it's a shame that this version of Pikes Peak isn't optimized so that less powerful systems can handle it well... I'm lucky enough to get over 80 fps on that track and be able to experiment with its slippery force feedback. Even though I'm terrible at driving, I find it quite fun drifting with almost no control, trying not to go off the track...

It can be seen also in the rearview mirrors when driving live (at least in my case), especially at low speeds; if you speed up, the smoke dissipates, but it reappears when you slow down again.

The cause might be related to what you mentioned about the tire temperatures (I'm guessing, based on my limited knowledge of the subject...).

I can confirm the same issue. CSP 0.2.11. Accelerating and braking. Mainly lower gears.

It really is a shame. I don't have any problems running that very stage in Dirt Rally but in AC it's such a headache-inducing mess.

Atlanta Motorsports Park additions:

Some track skins, new config and other updates for Atlanta Motorsports Park. As always, make a backup of your existing track folder if you want try this. I'm finding it harder and harder to do these updates for public release since I still use a very, very, very...... old version of CSP and Pure. Newer versions have made some changes that make most of my mods look terrible. This may or may not be the case with this one as well. You will be the judge of that I guess.

Notes:

-- 5 different grass skins to vary the look. Couple of them are pretty similar.
-- Added some animated flags. The USA flag is a mess and waves in an odd manner. Never could figure out why.
-- Added some crowd facing people. I use the 'new crowd rendering method' so the crowd facing values are setup for that option. If you don't use that rendering method, you will want to go to the data folder and rename the crowd_facing file for the old method or the crowds may render with odd lighting.
-- Included a couple of optional vaos you can try.
