Is anyone having issues with the M3 GTR lagging badly with multiple cars on track? If I run a single car practice, the game runs fine, but as soon as I load a race weekend with just a few of the same cars, my wheel and pedals lag by several seconds. I tried restarting CM, no help. I'll try reinstalling the mod manually.

Back to questions of early 2000s GT cars, is there a decent mod of the Esperante GTLM?

Slimming power lines for that track, magic trick courtesy of Masscot (as always, add to the end of ext_config.ini and shake, but not stir):

[SHADER_REPLACEMENT_...]
DESCRIPTION = fix for thick powerlines, fence meshes etc
MATERIALS = WIRES
MESHES = WIRES
IS_TRANSPARENT=1
BLEND_MODE=ALPHA_BLEND
PROP_... = ksAlphaRef, 0.1

I don't know if it's necessary to add "WIRES" twice (to "MATERIALS" and "MESHES") and I haven't noticed any difference when increasing or decreasing the digits of "PROP_... = ksAlphaRef" to check if the power lines could be seen a little thinner, but the fact is that with this code they improve somewhat compared to how they originally look.

EDIT: Phew, this is more complicated than it seems; I just saw that the results appear to vary depending on the layout... 🫤
You were almost there :). Just write:
MESHES = WIRES, wires

MESHES and MATERIALS names are case sensitive

You can also delete the line MATERIALS = WIRES

I have no problems with shin's Detroit 1982 / 3 version but the later iterations suffer from the same fate, horrible FPS loss when tunnel lights are on.

And weirdly enough I can race at night at Marina Bay or LV without encountering said FPS losses despite these tracks being more 'modern'.

I give up.
Try unchecking Settings/CSP/ExtraFX/extension/Active

The NMS Labs one is pretty good, it's got physics by TomSim so it races very well with his other GT2s as well as the MaxStdt Porsches. (I just saw FrustratedUse said the same thing but that's what I get for typing before reading the rest of the replies I suppose)

Anyway, I found out that the VRC csp LMDh cars don't really work with AI drivers in csp 3.0, at least on the latest preview. The VRC csp LMH cars are fine though. I'd roll back to test the csp and non csp versions against eachother to see what the actual difference in performance is between the two in ai hands, but I don't know if I care that much.

The car isn't finished yet; I just wanted to get your opinion on what could still be improved.
