@X90 I can confirm the 'racing line' on wet tracks appears to be bugged (as in, it's visible ahead through humps in the road), adding/adjusting groove.ini did not fix it.
Please add it to your compiled report. My image in the post above should help clarify what the issue is.

The crackling audio with large grids of some cars (eg Pessio's Austin Mini Cooper S FIA App.K Historic Racing, https://www.overtake.gg/downloads/austin-mini-cooper-s-fia-app-k-historic-racing.27875/ ) is definitely a recent CSP bug and nothing to do with Fmod itself, as it was not a problem with older CSP builds (I just tested it). CSP code introduced the problem several CSP builds ago.
Question. The crackling audio you're having. Is that like an over-driven speaker distorting, especially with bass notes?
Trying to isolate exactly that, across many of the mods I drive.
Only cure I've found is to turn the volume down, which isn't really a cure. Racing cars are loud.
I was thinking audio driver, but maybe we're hearing the same thing and describing it differently?

In the zip you find a folder /system/x64 and /system/x86 and in both folders is a DLL. And in your AC root folder you have exactly the same files. Those you rename to something different and then You extract the systems folder inside the zip to your AC root folder.
Ok. Thank you.

Ilja has fixed the csp preview issue, so a hotfix will come later on I think. I reported also the crackling audio issue to him. Let´s see if he can do something here.
Not to mention having wiper issues on many cars and a refraction bug where once the game loads, refraction gets disabled after a few seconds and I'm forced to edit something inside a car's ext_config.ini to temporarly bring refraction back until I start a new session and forced to do that **** all over again which is slightly annoying.

As said above, feel free to report it to Ilja as well.

It's hard to determine which frequency ranges are getting affected. I think the audio is just getting overloaded, because it seems to get progressively worse the more cars you add.

Just imagine. If everyone dropped Patreon support right now, the guy could live the rest of his life with millions in the bank. MILLIONS, for making it rain in a video game. Coding skills have paid off. Just imagine...

But yeah, I paid into it, and the best version of CSP for me is preview 361. It works and thats all I need. With Tetri's AI app the game is working wonderfully. I don't plan on updating or paying into it anymore. That's just me.

Millions....

EDIT: And so has Peter. But, at least he is active on the forums and helps people with issues. But still...millions.

Check the monthly ranking on all of Patreon Peter & Ilja is at the top every month hahah.

btw there are taxes and currency related things and other people in the chain. after all of that it is not millions. still a crazy thing for me that all this just happend and i feel very honored by it! But i also invested much time and money into this before it was big, and that was not healthy besides my 50 hour regular job. So if people like it and supporting me, i'm thankful for that, but it's not like you are forced to do that and then again it feels like being a scammer if someone says millions and the actual fee is 1$/€ per month, even not that if you just subscribe when updates are coming. So yes the numbers are high, but you also have high numbers of users and every one of them are getting the software + support. Just think of what you get for 1$/€ today. and with inflation this is getting less and less. and i personally will never raise the prices (idk what patreon has in mind).

Are U sure that it's not a HW issue?
Try replacing the speakers, if U have spare ones. Check for loosen connections on the jacks. Check also the integrity of the speaker cones

@Peter Boese, you do not have to justify yourself for anything, please, just ignore the petty comments, they do not represent the AC player base.
Your contribution is immense and you fully deserve to be rewarded.
I am still using SOL and i am very happy and grateful for it, I have no doubt Pure is even better.
Many here are into the rabbit hole, chasing their tails, getting frustrated.
AC, with CSP and it does not have to be the latest iteration of CSP, and either Pure or Sol, is a racing game that is, because of those two modifications, the GOAT.
We should all be eternally grateful to you and Ilja, for what you did and happy, you got rewards out of your labor of love.
I am glad I supported you when I did and will gladly do it again, if something (really) new comes up, but at this stage I just enjoy a very stable version of AC, full of bells and whistles, that is head and shoulder above any other game I have on my hard drive.
Keep up the good work. Respect.

Thanks! Is it because of the graphics why you are using Sol or is i just you don't want to change a running system?

Make me thinks this could be his problem, wrong format will get you crackling sound on any source

100% sure. It's a Yamaha amp and speakers with upgraded cabling, and has zero audio issues apart from in AC with particular cars. And rolling back CSP solves the problem instantly. Ergo: definitely a CSP bug with recent builds, or a CSP setting somewhere gone haywire.

I am just very satisfied with my version of AC, it is the best racing game I ever had the chance to play on my rig.
It looks great in my VR goggles, it feel great on my DD wheel and load cell brake, it delightfully vibrate with my tactile, I have more content that I can use in 2 life time.
Like for example, your Sol weather system, to me is like that:

AC Evo weather is like this in comparison:
stages-of-drawing-3.jpg

I just enjoy the great game that I have, with full control of great weather options, working flawlessly.
My hobby, is enjoying pretend racing on my rig, not tinkering endlessly with minute details, wondering if the sky should be an other tint of blue or should the clouds have a different perspective.

There is one aspect that I would gladly spend money on. An app that would allow me to add movement to the driver with clicks of the mouse, from inside the game. We know, from some great mod car we have, like from F40 LM_Lover, that driver animation in AC can be "perfect", better than any other game, shifting the right gear, pressing the right button on the wheel, feet pressing the right pedals, etc.... It is a VR thing and most are probably not interested, but since I already have everything else, that, to me, would be a valuable development.

So, does pure do a better version of the Sistine chapel ceiling, I have no doubt, but the one I have now is already good enough for me.

If you really like skies, Pure would look much better because of its skydomes which are highres 360° photos of real skies.
Sol with Sol_Extra ppfilter:
render method 0 (fake clouds - can only rotate)

render method 2 (3d billboard clouds - can somehow move in 3d space)
Screenshot_tatuusfa1___ks_red_bull_ring_13-7-126-13-3-8.webp

Pure Gamma skydomes (can only rotate):

Screenshot_tatuusfa1___ks_red_bull_ring_13-7-126-13-6-14.webp

Pure LCS volumetric clouds (can move locally and can have lightning inside and weather change locally)

Sure those can't look as good as skydomes, but they have a higher functional usage...

I'm the last one that would say CSP is perfect, but it would need a constant overhaul of old mods to work with newest versions.
But that would also need a detailed communication to show all those needed changes and thats not exisitng.
CSP has been great for ac, But the newest builds using 100% cpu and 100% gpu... no thankyou. and lots of people seem to be in the same boat. I get frame stutters, lower frame rates overall. The first build of when csp added DLSS is the only one that works semi-well for me of these newest builds. CSP should be free at this stage, Ilia has made too much money from this, and the game now runs worse than 3 years ago.

It would be really interesting what this 100% GPU and CPU usage come from. I did not experience this at all and I monitor AC all the time (inside AC and outside) when I work on it and I don’t have any gains in my numbers all across those preview releases.

And I don’t have more reports in my Discord or Patreon about this. So it must be a certain combination of things that this is caused.

Maybe if you like come to my Discord and we try to make some tests. It really interests me, because it is maybe a thing that bothers more people in the future or maybe it can be solved.

Did you already try to deactivate the new VRR integration in CSP?

Do you also have an integrated GPU on your board besides the discrete GPU?

Did U edit audio_engine.ini file ( in ..\steamapps\common\assettocorsa\system\cfg )?
Some users had audio issues setting MAX_CHANNELS to 512 instead of 256.

I'm quite sure U already tried to reset CSP to its defaults.
Rename the /Documents/Assetto Corsa/cfg/extension folder and restart CM.
