So with the new CSP previews, ClearGT has finally changed, and for the worse at first. All I really had to do to get it looking good again was play with the custom reflection brightness, the scene light, ambient light, and main light. Basically most of these just got brought to or much closer to 100%, no more insane values of near 300% needed.

Big fan of ClearGT, but I could never get the CSP version to look good.
I'll get after it again now, with this advice in hand.

Incredible progress made within the AC community in 2026:

A car mod made without AI and DRM...

Some while ago I did this for my own use, so feel free to give it a try.

You should enable "old csp render" under small tweaks, though.

Have you tried redownloading and cleanly reinstalling the track?
I'm getting none of those issues at my end.
The only issue is that CM keeps telling me that the 'circuit' tag is missing, when it clearly isn't.
shi
I didn't experience any of these strange problems you mentioned.
Could you try out my CSP settings? (0.3.0-preview581)

The issue where a missing ‘circuit’ tag is reported is because it is a ‘circuit ’ tag (with a space after the ‘t’).
Thanks for the suggestions, but it wasn't necessary; the exorcism that shi performed in version 1.51 solved my problems with the haunted flying objects.
I had the same issue as above. Also the circuit tag was missing, even though it was there.
Thanks to you too for mentioning it; you have no idea how reassuring it's to know you're not the only one experiencing something strange with a mod that the rest of the community isn't having, and confirming that you're not going nuts having hallucinations due to excessive consumption of Assetto Corsa... 😮‍💨
I love your creations (Editor's note: in reference to Pasta2000's creations)
I think we ALL love his creations. Have to be a bit weirdo not to like them. 😙

A little late but, is what I had in Pace Park...

The last few CSP ver result in only the car I drive having static wheels not rotating and driver head/arms missing just the suit flickering. Strange that in field of same Kunos car rest of field is fine. I toggled hide steer wheel/driver ON/OFF but made no difference to the driver graphics. On some other (mod) cars wheel do rotate, but driver graphics persist.

I don't know about rendering or previews but the last CSP version that doesn't affect AI behavior is 0.3.0-preview361. After this release every subsequent versions affect the AI behavior. I tested with rss_gtm_furiano_96_v6 or rss_gtm_protech_p92_f6 with csp physics installed and the AI did crazy things. For compliance, let the AI drive on hairpin tracks with these cars and see what happens. The problems don't only occur with these two cars, but I use them as a test for every new CSP release.

For me the most important aspect of the CSP versions at the moment is the AI behavior because I drive offline races against AI. I see quite a few comments on this topic and I wonder if I'm doing something wrong. Am I the only one who noticed this?

It doesn't work on AMD GPUs, and anyone with an Nvidia 5000 series card must inject the DDLs, otherwise even if you're active in content manager, nothing will happen.
Seems some guys achieved it and get it running on AMD cards. And the hype is such strong that it is even ok that it will dip your fps to a 1/4. I guess there are multiple layers running to get it working somehow. So, i think energy stocks will rise tremendously in the near future, because people seem to be very hyped by such thing even it will get you a slide show.

It's getting worse on every new iteration. At first i just got rid of every new stuff from the new aibehavior tab, at this point i believe they're not intended for offline racing at all but rather for trackday and traffic stuff.

The last CSP that was working properly with every fastlanes was around CSP 0.2.4.
Parrilla fastlanes, X90, Thockard... all the good ones you could find stopped working exactly as intended around 0.2.6-0.2.7, and are now giving worse results than before.

At first it was just something weird in the spline loading process, and you could get back to regular inputs for AI by reloading the fastlane ingame (thru spline editor). It was particularly noticeable on fast corners.

Here's an example jumping from CSP 0.2.4 to 0.2.7, with subtitles to help :

I sent a message to the discord CSP about this a while ago, it got no answers. Is it a track issue, a spline issue, a cached fastlane with data that went wrong, noone knows.

2.11 never fixed it, so i just edited the impacted fastlanes or overwrote inputs using aiwhisp.
Then after 0.3+ versions it just got randomly bad? Too tideous to pinpoint the issues, i went back on 2.11/112.

Note that i also noticed weird grip issues since 0.3+, where the AI would either suck or rock the track, with no exploitable reason whatsoever. Jumping in a race where everyone is running at 1.11 and the next morning, AIs are just losing it and going offtrack, barely reaching 1.14. That matter seems to be affecting users randomly and is described in CSP discord preview-issue-reports.
As for AI being dumber (but faster if they managed to stay on track) since 0.3.445, the issue has been found and supposedly worked on, saw a post in the CSP discord where Ilja apparently answered.

On top of everything else, it seems something went south with the inputs APIs and i can't even launch AIwhisp on 0.3.581 (it crashes the game), so on my side, it's gonna be a "let's play something else" for a while.

I don't want to contradict you, but it's impossible for it to work on AMD cards, the technology to make it work is totally missing. As for the slideshow issue, I run at 110 FPS, but I've noticed a lot of skepticism and opposition on the matter, so I promise myself, even if I were called into question on the issue, to never talk about it again in this chat. I don't have to convince anyone... Naturally, I'm not referring to you.

It's better to specify this, I wouldn't want him to think that he had activated Neural Rendering.

i feel the same , since i race the same grip is very obvious that the last csp updates have the ai been very irresponsible, if i have to ping point the issue (with out proof) i will say that the ai doesnt follow the side lines anymore . maybe like terri said, it might not load correct or ai has more flexibility to not obey the side lines .
for me the last good ai was preview338, after that ... chaos !!

I wanted to dig into what had been edited in CSP to pinpoint the issues, but lost interrest in it.

I made a few screens. Same cars, same track, same conditions, extended physics off in drive menu.
Maybe it's accurate, maybe it's related to something else in my CSP setup, maybe it's strictly on my side.
But that's still data.

CSP 0.2.4 :

Capture d'écran 2026-09-04 125848.webp
Most VWs @ 1.18.5, Corollas @ 1.27, Minis at 1.35.5

CSP 0.2.7 :

Capture d'écran 2026-09-04 131010.webp
VWs @ 1.19 (only one at 1.18.8), corolla @1.30, Mini @ 1.36

CSP 0.2.11 :
Capture d'écran 2026-09-04 143939.webp

VWs @1.19, corolla @ 1.30.5, Mini @ 1.36.5

CSP 0.3.520:

VWs @ 1.21, Corolla @ 1.33

CSP 0.3.581:

Capture d'écran 2026-09-04 151820.webp
VWs @ 1.20.5, Corolla @ 1.31.5. Special mention to the minis @ 1.38

Edit :
AI whisp on 2.11 is def helping but that's a lot of work just to bring back slightly better than 0.2.4 pace...

Capture d'écran 2026-09-04 154901.webp

VWs @ 1.18, corolla @1.27, Minis @ 1.34.5

the problem with this king of stuffs, it's impossible to know if it's something with gear shifting, grip, vectors in the fastlane payloads, errors in cached data from the fastlane, new physics, suspensions, aero calculations... I think it deserves an overlook

Hi.
That sounds very mysterious "missing technology". Can You shed some light here what is this technology You referring to, is it some hardware component like smd chip which nvidia is utilizing and amd not?

Seems you can use it in Optiscaler also for AMD GPUs and it is like a Reshade injection then which just uses the output of any rendering. Not arguing if that makes any sense. It is just what i saw or read.

Edit: But yes, the video could also be just click bait. I just googled a bit and found the AMD DLSS5 reference.
I also found someone who said he got DLSS5 running on a PS5, because he captured the video with a Windows PC and used Reshade in OBS and injected DLSS5 with it...

DLSS (Deep Learning Super Sampling) is a proprietary NVIDIA technology developed to run exclusively on Tensor Cores, dedicated artificial intelligence chips integrated only into NVIDIA GeForce RTX graphics cards.
Closed ecosystem: NVIDIA blocks the execution of DLSS code at the driver and software library level for its RTX line of cards.
You'll never get official support with an AMD card, so it will never work well and will never be usable (I mean, actually play with it at decent FPS). If someone can get it to run at 15 FPS with an AMD card, that's another story, but what's the point?
Guys, it's 2026. Do some research on Google and inform yourself if you have any doubts. It seems to me that everything I say should be analyzed and judged... I answered you out of politeness, but I repeat, it's a topic that I no longer want to talk about in this chat.

Thank You very much, You are very nice. I have very small interest in this matter, was hoping someone can just give short answer. You answer is even more than I need to know.

Pollcontrols -> any app that uses the override controls API? I suspect aiwhisperer lol. Not compatible with csp 0.3.581

Technical explanation :
The crash is here in your
dmp :
Crash at:Car:pollControls (from acs, car.cpp:1671)Car::step (from acs, car.cpp:414)

it's related to ac.overrideCarControls(carIndex), an lua API. Any lua using it will crash the game, especially Aiwhisp that doesn't have it gated at session start and before the green light (i fixed it since, but didn't released it yet).

Any LUA using it seems to be affected past 5-6 cars to process. I've tried using something like

if ac.getSim().timeToSessionStart and ac.getSim().timeToSessionStart < -3000 then
for i = 1, math.min(20, ac.getSim().carsCount - 1) do
local c = ac.overrideCarControls(i)
if c then c.gas = 0.5
end
end
end

And it immediatly crashed CSP.

So far i think it's on CSP, not the lua. Only option is to either load less cars (5 max) or to dismiss aiwhisp completely. You can change the aiwhisperer.lua name to anything else so that the lua never starts, until a fix comes, like in this screen :

Capture d'écran 2026-09-04 200104.webp

Or copy the whole Aiwhisperer folder out of assettocorsa\apps\lua to save it for later.
