Once I get my motherboard back in 15 freaking days, I should be able to run this game on all High settings @ 1280x1024. 👍 I can't wait!

Your asking a lot from your 9800 to play BF2 at medium, but if you want to run it on medium you will need at least 1GB of ram insted of 512MB.

And a CPU above 2.2GHZ but your 9800 should be able to play it in medium after looking around the interweb.

Uh-oh. I only have a 9800Pro. I had no idea this game required that much horsepower! My bro is running it on his 2.8GHz P4 laptop with a 9700M and a gig of ram on Medium-High settings... Maybe mine can run it better? (But I only have a 2600+...)

Try the public servers here (or if you're a member the others). I used the 4th public server but it doesn't seem to be working now:

Everywhere is mega full up serverwise on the download front.

Go here and check each one out: http://www.bf2.org Some of them work, i'm getting 30kbs at the mo which isn't bad for my 512k connection. Would be getting a lot more if i hadn't moved home today. Parents don't know the meaning of a fast connection and BT sucks male titties.

Hoping to be able to run at ok speeds. Got:
AMD Athlon XP 2600
1G RAM
Lots of free HD space
128Mb ATi Saphire Atlantis Radeon (Evolution MR FQ400 etc. etc.) 9800 Pro + mega cooler + running at silly speeds w/o artifacts.

Demo should be on my computer ETA... tomorrow.

Give me back my 1.5Mb connection, please!

Anything on 1024x768 makes it slow down too much for me.

Oh man, I was really wanting to play this game but even if I go manage to save up enough money to buy the upgrades I've been planning it still won't be enough to play.

The ragdoll physics is pretty good. Well that is until you get blasted 50 metres in to the air :lol:

Some pictures 1600x1200 full quality with no anti-aliasing. Totaly ridiculous framerate 0.2 frames a second :scared:

Here's what I have to put up with when I want to play with a good framerate, low quality 800x600. High quality 800x600 is like 4fps for some reason and low quality is awesomely smooth:

Bit dissapointed by the graphics, I don't think they can be appreciated unless you run it at 1200 with 4x AA+ but on medium settings at 1200 res it runs nice and smooth on my Xp2600 with 9800 (clocked to pro) and a gig of your cheapest 2700 RAM

Fun to play though and the atmosphere is very good.

I love killzone. That game has some badass guns. But yea the physics in kz are really messed up. People getting killed in funny looking posistions and most of the time you see the legs flailing about wildly.

Shock paddl??? lol. DO you mean the Defribulator? Me and my friend were haveing 1 on 1 and 1 on 2 duels with all the stuff in the game. helicopter vs helicopter, knife vs knife, defribulator vs defribulator, jet vs jet, and jet vs helicopter.

With that kind of computer I'd hope for 80+fps with top everything... Otherwise its a waste of money.
