Does anyone know how to remove that Tutorial voice. My PC does not like the voice in a big battle.
 
I think it only plays each piece once and then never plays it again? It might make it play again though if you switch between single player and multi player.
 
FilePlanet also if anyone from a european nation wants to play me on a BF2 server while having Xfire. My Xfire is tvrfan.

Had my best afternoon of BF2 gaming today, was doing great as spec ops yay.

Check some of the big BF2 Fan Sites. I think one called Totalbf2.com has it.

Highly suggest reading the Read-Me's though.
 
I tryed out the bot mod but it would not let me connect to any online servers I do not know why. So I uninstalled it insted which I think is good because its better to play online.
 
Maybe we should start a dedicated GTP clan? Trusting complete strangers in a squad is a pain in the ass.
 
Don't go to any ranked knife or pistol only servers. They released a message and recently zero-ed eXp.ElekTriC.

Sign me up for that. We can use this thread to organize. [GTP]M-Spec has a nice ring to it.

I'm playing about 2-3 hours of BF2 4-5 nights a week now. East coast servers mostly after 8PM EDT. I'm totally hooked. My medic chops are now down pat. I also play a decent Assault and AT... though I despise the pea-shooter otherwise known as the MP5.

I also tank whore with the best of them. In fact I racked up a 17 kill single life streak last night with the LAV-25 on Karkand. The poor MEC team had no clue how to take one out apparently.

Working on my chopper skills, but getting seat time in an online game is tough.

I like playing AT, but you get shafted points wise. If I destroy a tank thats causing havoc at a base I get 1 measly kill and if I'm lucky a flag defend point :indiff:

And of course no points for damaging enemy vehicles, even though you get penalised for damaging your own teams. And yeah the mp5 is crap although amazingly I once managed to kill someone more then 5 feet away ;)
 
Just set it to single shot for long range and it does alright. Although it really is a strange gun to give someone who goes up against vehicles. The upgrade does no damage to vehicles either, from what i understand...

Not if you use it either in bursts of fire or single ammo shooting.

Also going to be taking out a gaming trial on a website which allows me to create my own servers for many games on there high spec servers. For the 21 day trial on the site.

So when I do take out the trial I create a server and post up the IP. How do that sound.

Then we be able to meet up on it.
 
As some of you may not know I am a voice actor for a series which is recorded in BF2 which is called Grain of Sand. At the moment Impulse music which are the crew and recording, vid editors and audio editing.

Are yet to start work on the first part of the series even if they took over the rights of the show before the first part was meant to be recorded in July. But that made the first part not start.

But Impulse Music are a pro music studio company which has there own 2 music bands or teams. So it has the backing for a lot of things including vid editing and audio editing.

If anyone was looking to get a part in it well all the parts have been taken, also there are 2 brits in it and the rest USA people. Plus I am the voice actor for the main person in the series.

There is also plans to bring out a DVD but it was nearly going to be a 1 off 4 parts movie made in BF2, but it changed into a series. Here is a link to the website:

Even as a voice actor I do not have info if the story boards are done of yet, but as soon as i get more info from the crew i tell you lot. Plus I have done all my voice actings for script 1 so i am ready for script 2 yet to get it.

Aswell on the site there is a trailer, some music from the trailer and a link to download a audio interview with the crew. And 1 voice actor shame i was asleep which meant me not getting interviewed.

But I have emailed FutureNet to try and get an interview with any of the cast and crew. And remember as soon as more info is out I be sure to tell you but GOS is still on target for Fall 2005 which is good news mates.
 
Yep I frequenty use the pistol with the AT class. The MEC submachine gun is pretty decent though. I usually switch to pistol when my clip runs out too :) although it isn't quite as fun and effective as it was in BF : V.

But even with single shot and bursts, the mp5 is still crap... Still if theres one gun I can't use at all, it must be the Support SAW machine gun. Whether I fire it in bursts or keep my finger on the trigger its crap and never hits anything unless you occasionally get lucky.
 
I made peace with the MP5 last night. My problem was thinking I could go toe to toe with an Assault guy sporting an AK-47 or 101 at medium range. Not going to happen unless the player is totally clueless. A good assult player will find you, do the dolphin dive and take you out in about 2 seconds.

However, at close range, just holding the trigger down and aiming for center mass will chew up an Assault guy pretty quick. Even at full tilt, it doesn't become wildly inaccurate. I was able to come out on top at least 3 times last night by just being a sneaky bastard and then emptying the whole clip into his chest before he knew what was going on. But if he sees you first... forget it.

The SAW is a joke. I know someone who's fired the real thing and he says it's not even close to being modelled correctly in the game. I'm hoping the patch will address that.

I thought the SAW was pretty good. The Chinese support gun is a little weak, but it has nice accuracy. I'm not a big fan of the Chinese weapons.

Anyone want a game over the weekend?

I have turned the resolution up to 1248 x whatever it is (cant remember). The game runs fine, although has a little lag when i first start. But it takes forever to load. Should i put this back for online gaming?
 
Dunc i think the process is to load the game, click multiplayer and create an online account there. If you connect to your internet connection via a router, you will need to open ports (port forwarding):
