Well I don't see anything wrong with using the grenade launcher at range or by firing it at jeeps. But when people constantly use it as a 'shotgun' it is really lame. Hence why it was altered in Desert Combat.

I hope the Desert Conflict mod is gonna be good, first thing is hopefully fix the crappy choppers!

If you got used to the choppers in Desert Combat you probably wouldn't think that!

Choppers in BF2 feel like flying barges to me, although much better than BF : Vietnams.

Well they handle fine now so I don't see why they'd change their ways in the DC mod.

I was having a great time on Saturday. I was ontop of the TV Station in Sharqi with the PKM and I was actually picking off guys trying to take it over. Just single fire does the trick.

Since I've mastered my Cobra skills i'm moving on to the jet and i'm getting the hang of it with shooting down the Cobra (Z10, MI-28), Blackhawk, but i'm having a hell of a time shooting down the J-10. Anyhelp on that? And while your at it pointers on bombing and when to release them at a tank or any other target?

Thats also what everyone thought would happen with Doom 3 and it was a great game on X-box. So far Half Life 2 is also getting great reviews for the x-box. I will know more tonight in BF2. I was just wondering if anyone else in here had it for x-box.

BF2 is not on the xbox. Modern combat or what ever it is called is.

And those versions pale compared to the pc versions. The xbox ones are good though.

Its called Battlefield 2 : Modern Combat. Your right the names are close but not exactly the same. Battlefield 2: Modern Combat for X-Box

As I said above, I rented this for the x-box last night. I played for 5 hours straight and absolutely love this game!!! There is soo much you can do for stradegy to always keep the gameplay interresting. Between tanks, snipers, engineers that have rockets, air strikes, remote mines, vehicle mines. Friggin awesome!!!! Once you get a team all working together it becomes highly addictive. This is the best team involved game I have played ever. Way better than Socom 3, Ghost recon 2, any of those team based games. 👍 👍
I only played the single player for about 20 minutes and that also seems very impressive. I like switching character to character at the push of a button. 👍

Reminds me of when I first played the Battlefield 1942 demo when it came out (which I tried out partially just because I wanted something new to play and I saw some screenies on a games website) and it was great how much freedom it gave. Battlefield 2 (and I'd assume its console counterpart) are much better for teamplay though

Play.com also has the Battlefield 2: Special Forces (Expansion Pack). Is it worth getting this, or should I wait until I have progressed in the game a bit?

3-5 days depending on where other people live. But since your close to where they ship from, it should take 2 days at the least. And 4 at the max DQuaN.

I wouldn't be blown away if you got it tomorrow. Special Forces is on my to buy list. I've heard complaints from people about SF who play a lot of BF2. They don't like the fact that BF2 is still not a complete game, there's bugs and it's uneven multiplayer, blah blah blah. Personally, BF2 is now fine, it's good fun to play, and Special Forces looks too good to miss!

Continuously dying isn't unlucky, just the same as staying alive for a whole game isn't lucky. It's skill, or lack of it that decides.

Very true. This is the one game that really really requires you to work as a team otherwise you will die and your team will have a hard time winning or staying alive. Communication is key.

Or will it be fine out of the box?

Also, how much hard disk space does it take up?
