Interview with one of the EA fellas on this.

Read the 'comments' below though. I can't believe some of the **** that people have posted there. All those complaining brats just pees me off, they're all just jumping on the "it's too expensive, i'm only 12 i can't pay, i don't have a card, i hate EA, they're ripping us off, they don't care about us they only care about making money..." bandwagon. Ejits. [/rant]

Is the 1.2 patch only for Special Forces? Or regular BF2?

Stupid expansions... :grumpy:

Really dissapointed to here you have to pay for these booster packs, especially after I've only just got the SF expansion which is debatable whether its worth it. £6 each is abit steep when they ought to be free as in other games, yes I'm well aware that it costs man hours etc... but games have been releasing freebies for years for nothing but grattitude and some extra sales. Not only that but 6 quid and you don't even get a hard copy, just a download which costs them next to nothing for reproduction costs. £6 each may not sound like a great deal but if you get both thats £12 and SF only cost me £15, but atleast that was a packaged product.

EA are greedy and I hope other games don't start doing this.

It's for both. :)

I'm pretty sure the booster packs will be $15 here...That's a decent price considering all the new things added so I'll probably be getting it. The problem is how many other people are going to get it? Oh well, there'll be at least two servers from Australian ISPs, that should be good enough.

M82A1A, sorry and it may not or may be the next unlock. It was left over in the code (i think) but was never put into the game.

That tripod will help when firing the sniper rifle I reckon. But I do belive there will be these add on packs in the shops.

What type of gun is the M85A2, I see if i can track down any photos of it in real life. But if any UK people are yet to buy BF2, Game sell it for £19.98 on there site. The Special Forces Expansion costs £19.99 on Game aswell.

Another thing GTRacer4 and Donbenni do you want a game on a Saturday, also DQuaN up for a game aswell.

dude, AWESOME. The P90 and the FAMAS are my two favorite SMGs and Rifles respectively. The FN Herstal P90 is probably my favorite gun of all time, though. It's just genious.

All the sniper guns have stands. Duh. The only difference with this new gun is that it's semi-automatic as opposed to bolt-action like it's brother by barrett.

Don't most of the snipers have stands anyway?

Yeah, the M24 has a stand, and the Chinese/MEC sniper rifles probably have stands too...Oh awesome, it's an Auto sniper...hopefully it has decent enough recoil so that people don't just whore it.

They should have a discount for the people who bought SF.
They still want me to buy SF every time I start BF2 up!

Who here bought Battlefield 1942 and it's 3(?) expansions? Seperately i bet they cost a shed load. I assume each expansion cost £15 and the game originally cost £30. I bought the lot as a package for £30 about a year ago, but the point is that EA/DICE bringing out paid-for expansions ain't anything new.
And look, you don't have to buy them; any patches released will apply to BF2 (so you will still be able to play online with all the other people); £6 is nothing though let's be honest; you will be getting new weapons, new vehicles, new maps etc.; and who cares if EA if making more money from this, if it really bothers you that a company is making money, then don't buy the game; if you want a hard copy, burn it to CD and create a cover in Paint.

Glad the A10 and Harrier is in Armoured Fury, would like to see the littlebird heli in it.

*McLaren*
Wait, so I'll have to pay $30 for 3-6 new maps in the 2 packs?

Mmm....have to think about that....

Around $20 US...it's 6 pounds per pack. I think it might be $15 for both.

I got my Anti Tank Veteran badge today! :) Now heading for veteran Support.

The packs are $9.99 each, i've seen it on the EA official site.

They should be free though. It's ridiculous. And i doubt they'll depreciate, either.

Meh it's not much to me, all I see is a bunch of new planes and aircraft to learn to fly. Just like the Apache Longbow was a whole new world.
