LOL yeah .. Man we kicked their collective asses. Once they came alone I got on a roll. Three straight matches with less than 5 deaths and more than 15 kills .. Too bad they left or I'd still be playing .. Alas I must go to sleep.

Oh and nice 15 kill streak. I would have been up their a couple matches ago but I forgot I was using the assault rifle with a 3 shot burst and missed and the other guy got me .. That woulda given me a chopper too

I don't know who all saw it, but one of them was standing in the middle of the only way out of a building and I wanted out. So I emptied all my MP5 ammo into his head and knifed him a few times and all he did was say "Dude, chill!" a few times. I should have just cooked a grenade.

And I was listening to you on the lobby when I got your invite, and you're right, so today I'll try to get myself a headset.


Which leads me to the post about the party invite.
If there are a decent number of GTP members online simultaneously (yesterday, without notice, we were 6 ), we can invite the others to a party, and with the headset we can chat until we're all in. What do you guys think?

Well I finally found an answer to my own question. January's Consumer Reports just showed up and "lo and behold" they've got a section dedicated to BT headsets. I'll save everyone the suspense, that's ahh sarcasm there, and relay that their CR Best Buy (meaning after they factor in both performance and price) goes to the Jabra BT500. Should be available at retail for a very reasonable $35 (+ or -).

Ya Beerzgood I had some good games with you and yes that 62k/20d was in one match I think it was a domination where not alot of people were taking over places so I could kill more. But honestly I just go around trying to kill as many people as possible.

I have had my headset for a while, got it for SOCOM 3 online and just kept it. The way we need to set up these GTP meetings is everyone join into somone elses party and when we are all there then we can move around together and most will be on the same team, then when more of us get headsets we will be like a real clan

Don't know if I'll be on much tonight but good luck out there ya'll.

G.T - Yeah, it's a pretty cool combo (don't forget the bandolier perk with that), but I only found it useful on close-combat maps such as 'Ambush'.
I usually get a LMG on most maps, despite they being pretty heavy, which is noticeable while running (you get tired faster) and while aiming, which takes more time with these.


Speaking of BT headsets, I just grabbed one tonight for 19,90 euros, got home, 'connected' it to the PS3, and got into COD4, only to realize it's not working.
I must be doing something wrong, but don't know what. The LED is blinking blue as it says on the instructions, but it's not doing what's supposed to do.
Any suggestions? How do I test it?

OK, I couldn't resist watching the promo video:


And as a result a couple of things struck me: 1 - "The ss190 projectile retains a minimum of 80 joules after penetration (of personal protection devices) which guarantees incapacitation", which is a really convoluted way to say "good luck with that kevlar helmet and body armor 'cause you're still gonna be one dead ass mother:censored:" and 2 - the ammo is no good at penetrating CMU (see 2:40 mark), so is that characteristic modeled accurately in the game?

It's so cheap!!! I'm gonna get 2 of those.

Check out the promo (about the 4:30 mark) where some home boy is firing two of'em above his head in full auto. Looks cool I guess, but I bet they don't teach that at BUDS

And I don't think the bullets penetrate walls, but I'm sure it does if you have the penetration perk equipped.

Surprisingly (or not), I found that my spoken english sucks.

And there goes the theory about you sticking on the team of whoever invited you to the match, because I invited Scaff, he got in the game and was on my team only for the first one.

The best part (living up to my user title) was when I managed to kill him from a distance while he was 'inside' a smoke grenade.

Beerzgood, your spoken English was fine to my ears, so don't worry about that at all. 👍

Only had time for a couple of quick games, but they were indeed fun and damn you are good. Still managed to get you a few times, once while cross the road and even managed to sneak up on you once as well.

I do however agree that it does suck a bit that it switches you around on the teams, still got me to Lvl 20, so slowly I'm getting better.

I've been having this problem from day one on the game: the knife melee.
9 out of 10 times, in a face-to-face situation, I'm the one that gets slashed. Could it be the R3 not working 100%?
It's odd, because I sometimes test it on the match and it always works fine, except when I need it for real. Am I just being too slow to press it?...
